Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Blackground
xloveleighx 8/9/2012 12:47:00 PM
LOVE this paintpot! This is my first mac paintpot so i don't know how it compares to the others but i really like this product. I mostly use if for a smokey eye on nights out. Its great to use by itself for a more subtle grey smokey eye, or you can put black eyeshadow over the top for a more intense look. I love how its not just a plain black, it has a beautiful subtle glitter in it. Its never creased for me, even in sweaty clubs. The price may seem a lot at first but i would definitely repurchase. xxx

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Cherish
xloveleighx 7/17/2012 12:38:00 PM
I have the colours cherish and honey. I wasn't impressed with honey but i love cherish. Its a lovely blue toned pink, without being too over the top. I love the packaging, it really easy to use and because of the crayon type design the product is easy to apply. The product feels nice on the lips, exactly like a balm. After a while to balmyness will be gone but the stain still remains. Sometimes the stain wears off in the centre of my lips, but i like to reapply often anyway.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Honey
xloveleighx 7/17/2012 12:33:00 PM
I have these balm stains in honey and cherish, i love cherish but hate honey! I picked up this product because of the packaging, which is a lovely nudey pink colour. In the tube i was sceptical because it is a very dark nudey purple/brown, but i picked it up hoping it would be more like the packaging colour on the lips...i was wrong. I have quite pigmented lips, and on me this looks a horrible dark purple colour. I might work if you have lighter coloured lips, or if you put a light coloured lip liner underneath. However, i do like the packaging, its really easy to apply. The product also feels nice on the lips, exactly like a balm. Its a shame about the colour x

Polishes -Barry M - Pink Flamingo
xloveleighx 6/11/2012 3:38:00 PM
I have a love/hate relationship with this polish. I absolutely adore the colour! its a lovely coral in some lights and more pink in others, the perfect summer shade. However, the formula is so thin, and even after 3 coats you can still slightly see where the white ends of my nails start. Its such a shame because its my favourite colours ever!

Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand - XEN-TAN
xloveleighx 3/17/2012 5:45:00 PM
Review of xen-tan dark lotion: My new favourite fake tan! I honestly don't see the point in me trying another fake tan because this is the near perfect fake tan for me! Smell: When you first apply it, it smells amazing, like marzipan. After you've applied it the smell of marzipan is still there but only slightly, not overwhelming at all. After the tan has developed there is a slight fake tan smell, and i mean VERY slight, its hardly noticeable. Application: I prefer to apply it with a mitt, but i know some people prefer to use their hands. If you use your hands make sure to wash your hands very well after because it will stain them! The product comes out a dark lotion, kind of like green tinged chocolate sauce, haha. It goes on very smoothly, and you have a guide colour so you can see if there are any streaks. Colour: This is why i gave 4/5 instead of 5/5. I was expecting the colour to be darker than it is. The first time i used it i put one layer on, and it wasn't dark enough for me. The colour was noticeable but now i use 2 layers instead of one. However, this is good if you want a subtle tan instead of full on looking like you've been on holiday. And i guess it is good that it is buildable, like it says on the bottle. The actual colour is really nice, not orange at all. Price: I got this for £17.99 on lookfantastic.com, which i thought was quite pricey for a fake tan, but after trying it, it is def worth the price. And you get more product than with other brands like st tropez. Overall a great fake tan :) x

Polishes -OPI - Drip Dry
xloveleighx 2/29/2012 12:32:00 PM
A good concept for a product. Makes nail dry fast which is great for impatient people like me! Really simple to use, just put a drop on each nail. However, this makes polish chip a lot faster than normal. Because of this i'd only recommend using if you are in a hurry and don't mind if your polish isn't going to stay chip-free for days xx

Treatments -Nailtiques - Formula 2 PLUS Nail Protein
xloveleighx 2/13/2012 11:33:00 AM
I bought this after reading all the great reviews on here. My nails were thin and would peel as soon as the whites of my nails started to grow. I've been using this nearly every day for about 6 weeks now. At first i didn't think it as working for me, it took about 3-4 weeks for me to start to see a difference in my nails. Now they are much stronger, they still occasionally peel but no where near as much as before. The product does tend to build up around the top of the bottle, but it can be removed with nail polish remover. The packaging says to apply one coat every day for a week, but i find it tends to peel off after about 5 days so i removed it and started again when it started to peel off. I would definitely recommend this product, although it is quite pricey but it is worth it!

Lipstick -Boots - 17 Mirror Shine On (all shades)
xloveleighx 2/1/2012 3:35:00 PM
LOVE this lipstick! I bought the colour Beehive after hearing so much about it on blogs and youtube. Its comparable to Mac's Hue, but a tad darker. The formula is very moisturising and glides onto the lips. I have full lips and always have trouble with nude lipstick sinking into lines and dry patches but this lipstick doesn't do that at all. If i had to complain about this lipstick i'd want it to be tiny but nuder, but it can always be used with a lighter lipstick to fix this. The bright blue packaging isn't the best looking, but for £5 i would definitely recommend this product!

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Gaga 2
xloveleighx 1/12/2012 12:27:00 PM
I really like this lipstick! I have quite naturally dry lips and it doesn't highlight the dry bits very much, although it does very slightly. The colour is perfect! I love wearing it on nights out with smokey eyes. I'd say its a good colour to try if myth looks too light on you. The staying power isn't amazing, if you have a drink it will come off. However, i don't mind re-applying as i don't even need a mirror, just a quick swipe and thats it :) The packaging looks so pretty as well!

Self Tanners -Garnier - Bodysummer
xloveleighx 5/19/2011 12:36:00 PM
One of my favourite gradual tanners. I'm not a big fake tan fan, i'm always scared i'll turn out orange, so this is great as you can build up the colour. I have quite fair-normal skin, and i use the darker shade as the light one didn't make that much difference to my skin. This product does have a nice smell, like apricots when you first apply it. But after afew hours it really smells like fake tan :/ however, i usually apply before bed so this isn't too much of an issue. It usually takes about 2-3 applications for me to get the colour i want, then i use it every 2/3 days. I recommend using a body scrub before application as this tends to sink into dry patches on your elbow, knees etc. You also have to wash your hands well after application to avoid them turning orange! In all this gives a good, fool-proof application with hardly any streaks, and isn't too orange. Pro's: Price Easy application Not streaky Buildable colour Con's: Takes time to build colour Not that dark The smell after afew hours Comes off on bed covers, in shower etc (not too badly compared to other brands though)

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
xloveleighx 1/2/2011 1:12:00 PM
Holy grail! i wear this everytime i wear eyeshadow. The only flaw is the packaging, which wastes some of the product, also i don't know if this has happened to anyone else but when i took it on holiday and it was in my makeup bag, the purple coating on the tube started to flake off. Now when i go to use it i get purple flakes on my hands....haha. But overall a great product and well worth the £10 price tag xx

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Kabuki Face Brush
xloveleighx 12/24/2010 11:39:00 AM
At first i was really disapointed with this brush, the bristles aren't that soft and the shed like crazy! Because of this i put it to the back of my makeup draw and forgot about it. However recently i started using it again and found that it hardly sheds any bristles at all now....so maybe it is just a problem when it is first used. It looks like the studio kabuki brush might be a better choice, but this brush was only £1.50 so it was good for the price.

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Foundation ] [DISCONTINUED]
xloveleighx 12/18/2010 9:32:00 AM
I have finally found my HG drugstore foundation! I am an NC20 and i use shade 53 in this foundation. Before i was using Nars sheer glow in Figi which i loved, but it was just too expensive. However after trying this i think Healthy mix is the same quality if not better! I would say it gives the same effect as Nars sheer glow, kind of a dewy finish rather than a matt finish. My main problems with foundations is that they accentuate my pores around my nose, but this doesn't do this at all! It also gives good medium coverage without looking cakey. It also doesn't have a horrible chemically smell that you get with Revlon colourstay or Mac Studio fix, it also has a pump which you don't get with these foundations. Overall i love this foundation! xx

Polishes -Barry M - Instant Nail Effects
xloveleighx 12/18/2010 9:26:00 AM
I recieved this in a swap as i wanted to try it out after seeing the good reviews. I really wanted to love it, but i don't :( its not a bad product, just not as good as i was expecting. I found that it was abit 'gloopy' to apply, it was a thicker consistency than i expected, thicker than a normal nail polish, so it made it tricky to get a smooth application. Apart from that it does give a nice effect when its dry. Although i recommend applying it over a light/bright nail polish as i don't think it would show up very well over a darker polish. Overall it is ok but i don't think i would repurchase. x
