This isn't so much a review, more of an alert, but i thought I might let everyone know that this product is tested on animals. I think this it totally wrong. I was about to buy this, and read some things about it, and found out about the testing. Thought you people might want to know!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - one-step gentle cleanser
xkatkatarinax1 7/17/2010 5:27:00 PM
Another great product from Neutrogena! :D I bought this a couple days ago, looking for a non-irritating cleanser. Well i found it! I use it twice a day even though some say its much to drying... PROS: 1) The moisture! I had been using Fresh Foaming fash wash before i bought this, and it had always left a slight film on my face and didn't give me nearly as much moisture as One Step. Many people are saying how this had no moisturizing potential, as i thought that this left my skin feeling smooth and silky as a moisturizer would. I guess it just varies from skin type-to-skin type. :( 2)I love how this product lathers up and rinses after 4-5 splashes. Fresh foaming fash wash had taken longer to rinse off, i had thought. 3) I really enjoy how it feels like all the grime and dirt from the day had been washed away, and my skin feels refreshed after waking up in the morning. CONS: 1) Meh... I usually wouldn't buy a cleanser based on its make up removing ability, but this one really doesn't do smack about removing mascara or eyeliner. The eyeshadow and primer are removed but not much else. Im not bothered by this though because i use a remover beforehand anyway. 2) The packaging. I hate how you have to waste some cleanser to close the pump! When i travel its hard to pack it up without having to try and push it down and squeeze out an entire pump or two! I wish there was just a twist it-lock type thingy instead :( I def. recommend this to sensitive skinned people, because there is no burning or stinging involved :) Thats all!

Lotions/ Creams -Philosophy - Beach Girl
xkatkatarinax1 7/17/2010 5:05:00 PM
This lotion is actually owned by a friend of mine, (she did a review, everythingpink44) and i really like it. Overall, i really enjoy the lotion. PROS: Mmm...the scent! Philosophy seems to be known for their mouth watering scents. :) This lotion smells like an orange creamsicle to me, but doesn't actually remind me of the beach. More like the carnival or a hot summer day. This cream does a sufficiant job of moisturizing, but not as moisturizing as some other lotions of tried. (That dont smell nearly as good...LOL) Wow! This lotion sure is big! At first i thought, when i saw the price, that it was alot of money for just lotion, but when you really think, theres ALOT in this bottle. You get what you pay for! CONS: As other ladies have stated, it kinda sucks theres no cap on the bottle, so you couldn't really travel with it unless you want to pour some product into another container. Well, thats all! So if you want a nice lightweight summary lotion, this is for you!

Lipstick -Laura Mercier - Baby Lips
xkatkatarinax1 7/13/2010 12:01:00 AM
OMG! My absolute favorite lip stick in the whole wide WORLD! Im already on my second stick...and counting :p 1ST lippie: This l/s actually has moisturizing potential, as, with MAC lipsticks they dry out my lips. 2ND lippie: The color! If you have pale, fair, skin, as i do, this color is marvelous! It adds just the right amount of color, with a sheer pinky beige tint. Its similar to MAC Cosmo, which i was about to buy since it was cheaper then LM, but after noticing how drying it was i decided to pass. Bare Escentuals also has a similar in Pink Champagne, just to let ya all know :) 3RD lippie: The cute, tiny packaging! The tubes used to be larger, but they recently updated them to smaller more convenient tubes which are easier to fit into crowded clutches, and so on. (Actually, i should probably look into this. Im not sure if theres less product in these tubes!) 4TH lippie: The way it extracts itself from all the closely knit colors that are all on the market. I couldnt find a perfect match, no matter how many different colors or textures or anything that i tried. Way to go, laura! 5TH lippie: I wanted to give this 4, because of the staying power. But i really thought about it and decided, that it being such a sheer color that it would have been impossible to recreate it without ruining the color and texture. <3!!!!! BUY BUY BUY!!!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra volume - collagene
xkatkatarinax1 7/12/2010 11:45:00 PM
This is ok... I wouldn't purchase again but i AM going to use it up just because, you know, I paid for it! :P The huge brush is very hard to be nimble with and it seems that the little bristles extend so long that every time i use it I get little black dots on my lids that always ruin my eye shadow >:( Minus one lippie for that!! For this to be useable, i found that wiping some excess off really helps with the fact that the brush picks up way too much and that adds to the clumping factor. Another minus! I should be able to have my mascara wand all ready for me when I take him out of the tube...LOL. But, hence all my bad mouthing this mascara, after all my wiping off, my lashes DO happen to look lengthened and more voluminous then they do with say, ELF mascara. (Sorry elf!) Well, to wrap it all up, this mascara is just another drugstore product...not terrible, nor wonderful.

Masks -Freeman - Facial Peel-Off Mask Cucumber
xkatkatarinax1 6/17/2010 12:36:00 AM
I received this in a swap. I was so excited to try it because i had never tried a peel off mask before! So i rip it out of the box and squirt some on my hand. But the first thing i noticed that it was like glue. You might as well grab some elmers and smear it on your face. After a while it starts to burn, and when you take it off your face feels kind of weird like theres a strange film that isn't coming off after you peel it off. The only reason i gave it two lippies is because your face still feels soft afterwards, hence all the bad things about this! I would NOT buy this again!!

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Eye Shadow Brush
xkatkatarinax1 5/25/2010 6:13:00 PM
One of my very close friends got this brush, and left it at my house. Of course I used it, haha, and i was amazed by the results! The bristles are super soft, and it picks up tons of shadow. I would recommend shaking a teensy bit off, considering that you will have alot of fall out otherwise. I love how the brush handles are made of wood, they make it look so high end even though they are from CVS! They are great for traveling too. I took off one lippie for all the shadow coming off in the first stroke. It picks up a ton of shadow but the bristles arent great at keeping it there.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Expert Eyes in Velvet Black
xkatkatarinax1 5/25/2010 6:03:00 PM
This liner is just OK... I think its a bit waxy. Like others have mentioned, you need to heat it up for it to be useable. It does have staying power, and i usually use it on only the bottom lash line, because i have to basically stab myself in the eye when attempting to line the top of my eyes. The color is nice though and doesn't fade out or smear if you happen to slightly touch your eyes like some creamier liners i have tried. I guess that if you were desperate you could use this, but i am going to stick to my Milani and MAC liners.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Combination skin moisturizer
xkatkatarinax1 5/25/2010 5:49:00 PM
Dang, how do you start on such an AWESOME product??? I love it! I use it every day at night after i wash my face (i use a moisturizer with SPF in it for the day time) and my skin just soaks it up right away! It seems like it would be oily, when you first squirt it on. But it isn't! It doesn't clog my pores either. I wake up in the morning with fresh, moisturized skin. I would TOTALLY recommend this! Yet, it is a little pricey for just a skin cream. But i would say its worth it.

Eyeliner -Milani - Color Brilliance Eye Pencil - Purple (04)
xkatkatarinax1 5/25/2010 2:56:00 PM
I really like this liner. Its not exactly purple, more fushia. It goes on well with out me having to reapply a bunch of times throughout the day. Its creamy and a fun alternative to my everyday MAC coffee liner. I like wearing it close to the lash line on the top lid. :) its worth it!

Scrubs -Biore - Pore Perfect Pore Unclogging Scrub
xkatkatarinax1 3/21/2010 2:00:00 PM
Overall, this product isnt good or bad, it all depends on your skins sensitivity and type. Like most have said, if you have normal or combination skin then it will dry out your skin, and is great for oily skin. I use this once a week and it really is very clarifying, and i WOULD recommend this! The menthol in this product is whats making your skin feel cold or tingly, and its really just irritating your skin. So, as long as your not using it daily i would recommend it all you sensitive skinned girlys out there! UPDATE: JULY/17/2010 Ugh!!! At first, i really enjoyed this scrub. But i noticed that after using it for an extended amount of time my skin felt more sensitive then it was before i started using the scrub. I also began breaking out, and i am totally not acne-prone except for the occasional zit. So after i got rid of it and began using my Neutrogena cleanser again, everything went back to normal. DO NOT BUY.
