Toners -Clinique - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion

I love this toner, even more than the Alba toner I had been using for several years. My sister gave this to me because she said it was too harsh for her face, but it is fine for my normal-type skin. The packaging is simple but sleek. I use this in the mornings with a cotton pad, applying it on my face, neck, and sometimes my chest. My face feels clean and refreshed, and I definitely notice my face getting quite oilier throughout the day if I don't use this. It is not much more expensive than the Alba toner, so I would definitely purchase this again.
Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo

Since I dyed my hair bright red, I have to wash my hair less often to maintain the color, so I wanted a dry shampoo to absorb the oil in my hair before I had to wash it again. I picked this up at Target for a couple of dollars since the reviews on MUA weren't too bad but I don't really like the product. The smell is okay, I don't really like it but I could deal with it if the product was good. However, it does leave a white cast on my hair (that's easily rubbed out so that's not a problem), but it doesn't do a great job at absorbing oil. The worst part is that I can feel the product in my hair, so my hair feels dirtier after awhile and the oil comes back pretty quickly. I didn't experience any leaking issues so that was a good thing, but I think I'll look for a different dry shampoo.
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Rendezvous

I got this as a gift, and I quite like it. It is quite glossy and moisturizing. The color and texture reminds me of the Tutti Frutti lip butter but more on the pinkish than orange side. It is very easy to use, would definitely try this out in other colors. :)
I am a big fan of pixiwoo's YouTube channel and had heard such great things about the RT brushes from kokolaroo's review. I bought this set because I didn't want to pay more for eye brushes from Sephora or MAC, and I can easily say that I won't be needing anymore brushes from them. My absolute favorite is the deluxe crease brush, and I would easily purchase five more of them. They are not only excellent for quick eyeshadow application all over the lid, but also makes a great blending brush in conjunction with concealer to cover blemishes and dark eye circles. All the other brushes are great too, and I really like the handles. Would definitely repurchase this and recommend them to everyone, amazing quality for a great price.
I've been wanting this color for so long, and I finally got it as a gift from my sister a couple months ago. This color is THE perfect baby pink. People comment how you can't see the glitter particles on your face, but for me I can see it. However, it doesn't make you look tacky or like a disco ball, but it is just a pretty shimmery color on your face. Highly pigmented and overall just a fantastic blush. If it weren't for the price tag I would buy many more NARS blushes.
Love this color! You can dab it on your lips for a stain or use it full on for a bright fuschia color. Packaging is good, though the one I got was broken on the bottom so I originally had a hard time opening it; ended up gluing the piece back on so it works fine now. Revlon lip butters are really great, highly recommend them :)
Hair Color -L'Oreal - HiColor High Lift Hair Color

I was on the hunt for a good red box dye but I never found one I liked so ended up purchasing this in Magenta from Sally's. It's relatively inexpensive and gives great results. I didn't want my hair too red so I used this with 20 volume developer for 30 minutes, applying heat to my hair while I was waiting. The results turned out just the way I wanted, but it was a tad uneven because I decided to use only one tube; for my hair (a couple inches longer than shoulder length) I probably should have used a box and a half. My hair ended up being a dark yet vibrant magenta-red. Red hair requires a lot of maintenance but it is such an eye-catching color and it looks great, if you are willing to commit to being a redhead. :)
Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Duac Topical Gel

I received a couple sample tubes of this product and I really like it. This product works best for me when I am starting to get those painful cysts forming deep under the skin. When I use Duac the spots will disappear before coming to a head or it will surface faster so I can drain the pimple quicker. However, since this a prescription product I will probably end up buying an ordinary OTC benzoyl peroxide treatment when I'm done with my samples.
Shampoo -John Frieda - Radiant Red Anti-Fade Shampoo
ximachikenx 8/12/2012 12:10:00 AM
I recently dyed my hair red and purchased this shampoo because I couldn't find the Red Expressions by Pantene, which I originally wanted to try. I guess I should've known this wouldn't work all that great since it isn't color depositing. It didn't seem to work any better than an ordinary shampoo at keeping the red in my hair. Didn't experience any more dryness than usual like other reviewers said. It did make my hair smell very good but because it didn't do a good job at preserving my hair color I ended up returning it. Would not repurchase but I guess it would be a good product to use if you're a natural redhead.
Got this a couple days ago and am already in love with it. I have to agree with all the other reviews though that this definitely does not last long; I constantly have to keep reapplying this throughout the day. However, it smells very fresh and citrusy and is wonderful for the warmer weather. Packaging is also really gorgeous; love the frosted look and the sturdy cap. Can't comment on the price because it was a gift but for the lasting power I can see why people would complain about it. Might repurchase because it just smells so amazing but might want to find something longer lasting.
Concealers -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer
ximachikenx 3/20/2012 7:45:00 PM
Purchased this on sale at Big Lots for only a couple of bucks in the color Beige I believe. It is quite a good overall concealer; it doesn't sink into fine lines under the eyes and it covers spots relatively well. It isn't as high coverage as some other concealers out there but for the price it is very good, and I recommend if you don't have a lot to cover but just want to cover minor spots. Could do with slightly more sanitary packaging (dabbing the wand on your face and sticking it back in the container isn't exactly hygienic) but would still repurchase!
Moisturizers -Laneige - Balancing Emulsion MOISTURE (formerly BE1)
ximachikenx 3/20/2012 7:25:00 PM
I originally went to my local Amore to repurchase the Star White emulsion but the SA told me they no longer sold it so I decided to purchase this instead since it was wintertime. I've been using it for a few months now as my nightly moisturizer and I like it a lot. I'm glad that it comes in a plastic bottle instead of glass so I don't have to be so careful about breaking it. I also like the bottle is clear so you can see how much product you have left. The pump is sanitary and the packaging is overall the high quality you would expect from Laneige. The product itself does exactly what it claims to do. My skin is normal and can get dry and this is enough moisture at night for me. If you have drier skin you might want to use more than just this emulsion but it is good for me. It smells good like all Laneige products and doesn't break me out. However, Laneige products are pricey and you don't need to go out of your way to use them but they are a nice luxury so I would purchase if I have the money to do so. :)
Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter
ximachikenx 3/20/2012 7:15:00 PM
I've gone through so many Burt's Bees lipbalms and every one I have used is great. I usually get the classic mint one but decided to try the mango flavor and it is good. I also like the pomegrante one. Cheap, environmentally friendly, smells great, works great, what's not to love? :)
Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - KOJI - Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner
ximachikenx 3/20/2012 7:09:00 PM
The first time I bought this was last summer in Taipei. I purchased at SASA for about $500NT after reading so many rave reviews about it. I definitely love this eyeliner; it is the best and easiest liquid eyeliner I have ever used. The brush is very thin and the product is extremely black so it's great for precision lining and gives really great crisp lines. It is also very easy to use and dries quickly so I would say it is good for those who are afraid to use liquid eyeliner. It is also good for tightlining. I've used it pretty consistently for the past 6 months or so and it hasn't run out yet so although it is a little pricey it is worth it. Will definitely keep repurchasing :)
This is usually sold out at my local Target but one day I was finally able to get my hands on one. The color is a tad too red for Asian brows but it's not too bad because my hair is dyed a reddish brown anyway. The brush that comes with the pencil is pretty rough and scratchy but it isn't too terrible; however, I still prefer using my own eyebrow brush to blend out the color. It's very convenient to use and very inexpensive. I would purchase again but I wish that there were more color selections.
