Treatments -Organix - Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum
xdollpartsx 8/20/2012 7:21:00 AM
I am now an Organix convert! I really cannot express just how much this product has done for my hair in quite a short space of time, my hair is bleached and I have remy hair extensions (the new uber healthy kind) as I had to bleach out the under layer of my hair to get it from black to blonde (ouch!) it was so brittle for a long time and then saved by John Frieda frizz ease miracle treatment but it was a little too late as my hair was much shorter, I was gutted. I've had my extensions now for nearly a year and each time I had them pushed back up, I noticed my hair still hadn't grown much as it was still fairly brittle. I have now been using this for about 6 weeks along with the same shampoo and conditioner in the same range and my hair is noticeably longer, stronger, silkier with smooth ends. My hair is now nearly as long as my extensions and I saw my hairdresser today who confirmed my hair appears to have "rapunzled" out of my head! I am having the extensions removed next week and will continue to use this range. I am very impressed and believe it is well worth the price, just one pump each time is all I need. This is going to last a long time and I am only just near ends of the shampoo and conditioner.

Fragrances -Agent Provocateur - l'Agent
xdollpartsx 7/5/2012 7:19:00 AM
Oh my! Diors Hypnotic Poison has been knocked off my top fragrance spot! L'agent has stolen my heart...and possibly any trace of innocence I may have had left! I liked the first AP fragrance and was on the lookout for something new in The Perfume Shop. I saw this beautiful bottle and asked to try it on my skin as i remember the first fragrance was completely different on skin than on card. I let this settle and had a sniff "oh no that's strange, very dark" the lady then stated "it's much spicier than the first one isn't it?" I decided to leave it, continue looking around. Yet I could not stop smelling this on my wrist mmm... my mind very quickly changed, this beauty just gets better and better as time goes on, so sultry, dark and temptuous. I'll go into the notes just to give you an idea- Top Notes- Geranium Bourbon, Rose de Mai, Jasmin Sambac, Tuberose absolute and Osmanthus Heart Notes- Davana Oil, Baies Rose, Ylang Ylang, Rosewood and Angelica Base Notes- Patchouli, Sandalwood, Amber Crystals, Tonka Beans, Rock Rose, Myrrh and Black Incense Musk At first smell it is almost masculine, strong, not what you would expect from the pink bottle but more the grey/black it fades into. it changes quite quickly, the way it melts into the skin is to die for! It is then you realise just how much the scent does match the bottle, the contrast of ingredients works so well, like a dream! I have never smelt something so good in my life, the way that distinctive smokey rose from the first fragrance plays with the sandalwood and osmanthus! It is like a layer of sexiness for your skin, it has a wood, insence (but not overbearing due to the florals) leathery quality to it yet remains ultra feminine due to the rose and the ylang ylang. It apparently also contains pheromones which really would not surprise me, I feel very minx like wearing this and my boyfriend loves it too! Do not be afraid of the patchouli and musks this fragrance is really not "old lady like" the musk is smooth, although it does have a maturity to it, I would say ladies aged around 21 and to well above. In my opinion this is timeless and could never lose it's sensual qualities. I don't like overly sweet or sharp tangy scents, I really like the smell of nuts most notable brazil nuts and almonds, I like powdery vanilla and sandalwood scents. As I have said Dior's Hypnotic Poison was my all time favourit scent for 4 nearly 5 years for the almond quality and how different it is to other scents, this has outdone HP for me it is so sultry and different, I also have the body lotion on the way and I want the other products in the L'agent range also the solid version. Please go and have a smell, I have heard it is a little like Vivienne Westwoods Boudior or 1889 Moulin Rouge by Histories De Parfums and I have not smelled either but now I have got to! Gorgeous scent probably a new signature for me as I just want to wear it all the time even though it is very much for the evening! I gave it 4 on price as it is expensive but not the worst price and it is very long lasting, also on the bottle as although it is beautiful, the ring pull to stop it spraying in your bag pulls the cap off so you have to be careful, I think i would prefer a lid. x

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears

I wore this for a couple of weeks when first getting into perfumes about 18 years old, I initially liked it, it was fun, sparkly and to me a little quirky as I have never been a 'girly girl'. I quickly went off it, it started to make me feel sick in much the same way having 8-10 sugars in my cups of tea as a child has totally put me off sugar in my beverages. I think of this as something I had to get out of my system, everyone needs to make mistakes in order to learn and move forward (there was Ghost Sweetheart not long after but it was a gift it DOES NOT COUNT!) I am now repulsed by this fragrance, I could pick it out a mile off and cannot bare to be in close proximity to the wearer for too long. It is sugary, sweet, cloying...like Barbies hangover in a bottle. The bottle is pretty for children and tweenagers getting into perfume so 1 lippy for longevity and another for bottle design.

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - The One
xdollpartsx 6/8/2012 5:59:00 PM
One of my favourites, this fragrance is absolutely delicious! almost edible, even more so than CD hypnotic poison which i also use in my opinion. For me, the clean, fresh yet sensual first spray does not seem to change too much on my skin throughout the day which I appreciate as others have said they get a slight musk or soapy scent after a while from this which is not what I want from The One. The vanilla mandarin and peach blend fantastically well, each complimenting the other. It reminds me a little of those tins of mandarins in syrup but not overly sweet, a very fruity yet almost creamy fragrance, there is no sharpness and The One is to me, suitable for any time day or night. Also men love this!!! I get the most compliments off men when wearing this one, from my grandad to men in clubs and best of all, my boyfriend loves it! I have been told by a colleague that she found the scent boring in the bottle but she really liked it on me so this beauty may depend on body chemistry also. The bottle is beautiful however not really suitable for putting in your handbag, I would suggest an atomizer but I will continue buying D&G The One as although I get through a lot and not because it fades all that much I just can't get enough of it and it is inoffensive enough to get away with blasting it on, to me it is very nearly a signature scent, it calms me on hot summer days and warms me on cold winter nights, it is an all round winner!

Fragrances -Yves Saint Laurent - Belle d'Opium

I love this perfume with a passion! I actually had this forced on me buy an insistant shop assistant lady and wow, I am glad she was so forceful! This is a bottle I have always avoided simply because the bottle looks far too expensive and maybe appeared a little...pretentious in my eyes. I expected it to be overrated. This is a 'don't judge a book by it's cover' lesson! I believe I was gabbing away about what kind of perfumes I usually like to the lady, trying to pry her away from pulling out the grand looking royal blue bottle to spray and the moment she sprayed onto the tester stick, I shut up. I was quite overwhelmed, the jasmine and peach infused with sandalwood is pure magic! There is a spicey punch to it too which makes it so unusual. I walked around the store with this for maybe 10 minutes looking through other perfumes and I could not stop smelling this. I asked for a sample on my wrist and I swear, I could still smell this the next morning after showering. the dry down stays well rounded on me, the perfect blend of floral and wood with the faint hint of spice and a gorgous musk to pull the notes together. Belle D'opium is lavish yet well preserved, a confident fragrance with longevity. The bottle looks so regal on the dressing table, it really goes with the scent. A garunteed get noticed fragrance with an air of mystery and sexiness in a class of it's own. Worth the money in my opinion however this is usually cheaper online than in superstores!

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Hypnotic Poison
xdollpartsx 6/8/2012 9:11:00 AM
Dior Hypnotic Poison has been my signature fragrance now for 4 years, I adore it! I have quite a collection of fragrances but this is in no danger of leaving my number one spot any time soon. Here is the kicker-I detest cloying, sugary, sweet fragrances. Ghosts Sweetheart and Fantasy by Britney Spears (bluergh!) to name a couple. What I love in a big way however is the smell of almond, I wear nut based body butters from The Body Shop to go with the majority of my perfumes (brazil nut body butter being my current favourit) this seems to eccentuate what i deem to be the better notes in perfume. Hypnotic Poison is like nothing I have ever had the pleasure of smelling before (gladly welcomes any suggestions btw!) it is so distinct, so deep, sexy and sultry yet sophisticated and irresistable! The vanilla is controlled enough to not be sickly so that the whole concoction stays at that perfect level of sex appeal and sophistication. I also have the shower gel and body lotion but personally I think that all 3 together can be a bit much. If ever I wear another perfume to go out and someone is wearing Hypnotic, it induces a completely irrational rush of envy in me! Of course I cannot express disdain at another ladies impecible taste now can I?

Fragrances -Ghost - deep night
xdollpartsx 6/8/2012 8:51:00 AM
There is something about Ghosts' deep night that I cannot resist, It is so well balanced, so simple yet so indescribable to the senses. It is dark yet in my opinion fits any time of day and any occasion, it is slightly masculine yet so sultry and feminine. The woodiness of the fragrance is what lasts on me which I love! That in combination with the apricot is devine, I only seem to detect the most delicate dab of vanilla that drives the potion into a serene, mysterious presense that is continually teasing the senses. The bottle definately fits the perfume! very classy deep blue crescent moon that looks adorable on the dressing table. This is a fantastic fragrance for any time as it is not overpowering but you are acutely aware of it, personally to me it is because it is so hard to describe which is maybe why i find this long lasting whereas many people stop being able to smell it at all after just a few hours. I would suggest trying this on skin rather than on card for a while for anyone to really 'get' Deep Night, but once you do you'll be hooked.
