got mine in dreamer, in sample size.not too fond of the colour though i fancy the formula as it is non-sticky yet comfortable. might explore other shades but definitely will try first.
i got mine at a discounted price of LG14 pearly brown- and thank goodness for not only the colour disappoints me, the formula upsets me too. For one, the colour is a pale, pearly tint with multi-rainbowy colours- pretty in the tube but makes my lips seems too pale and in contrast my face seems washed out. yucks. as for the formula is just irks- it mya not be sticky but it does seem too thick for my fancy. sheesh. i need to get rid of this fast. (standard lip wand packaging, another overcharged item from TBS)
Mascara -Prescriptives - False Eyelashes Plush Mascara
xcocox 11/21/2004 3:30:00 AM
i'm disappointed because of the intolerated "washable" formula. it RUNS the instance water touches it. As a daily mascara user of critical standards, this is a good mascara that does curl eyelashes and do good volume and buildup (provided you comb through each coat) but the washable version really disappoint me. doesn't make the mark either. despite the plush packaging and high price tage, No thanks. I'll stick to my cheap and good maybelline mascara.
As a mascara lover and a daily user of critical standards, this mascara doesn't pass the test. I got mine in blue, washable version, at a discounted price and lucky i did that as it is certainly an overcharged ordinary product. The formula is too watery and do not dries fast enough for any lash buildup. It requires lots of waiting/drying time in between 3-4 coats to build up my usual plush long thick lashes, let alone for its 'volumizing' claim. The mascara wand is just an ordinary brush. Furthermore, the formula do irritate my eyes when i test it out without contact lens on so non-contact lens wearer, beware! In addition, a mention about the colour as it is an interesting shade of blue that doesn't come close to any vivid shade of blue yet imparts a very interesting blue sexy tint which i like. Overall, it is not a worthy product as i'm sure there are better quality products out there that delivers and perhaps at a cheaper price. the end.
Scrubs -Freeman - Vitalizing blueberry and champagne lathering shower scrub
xcocox 11/18/2004 10:06:00 PM
i love this!!! love the scent. love the after-scrub feel. furthermore, it is not too harsh. and the packaging is plesant and simple, yet attractive that it is not not lower-end/supermarket alike. love it! buy it!
Treatments -St. Ives - Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment
xcocox 11/18/2004 9:30:00 PM
neutral feeling towards this product as except for the lovely minty tingling feeling, it does nothing else to truly intensively moisturise my hair. and the packaging is just as normal- very lower end product classification. period. doubt i'll purchase again esp when others have bad reviews about it too.
Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - HydraFresh Circle Eraser
xcocox 10/26/2004 8:21:00 PM
i got this at a fraction of the price -dirt cheap- & frankly, i see no results yet though i'm trying to use it leat once daily. i don't have a big problem with dark eye rings but at times, they are there alright. but i find it moisturising enough, yet it doesn't give me milia seeds problem so far. pretty lightweight which i like. i ike the packaging too, the small nozzle make sures i do not squeeze too much out. will update results. :)
Treatments -Garnier - Synergie Pure - SOS Anti-Blemish Pen
xcocox 10/26/2004 6:37:00 AM
cheap. i got mine at SGD6.90 or so. it works well for me and i quite fancy the clear gel in the tube except that i prefer a smaller nozzle (for example, those small thin nozzle for eye gel). i do have a problem of pressing out too much expecially for a new tube but a little goes a long way. and maybe i've more sensitive skin, this do dries my skin if i use it too often and harshly. but compared to other similar products, it is a good buy. :)
Treatments -The Body Shop - tea tree oil Cover Stick
xcocox 9/4/2004 9:51:00 PM
i like tea tree scent as a general as i adore the minty medicated scent. as other tea tree products of other brands work for me, i find my self more easily convinced to try out tea tree products. This item isn't really wonderfully great. The coverage is medium, not too thick or heavy till it cakes. In fact, this is not exactly my shade but i'm just using it till it finish up (the difference isn't great if its well blended in). but this doesn't really last. i do find it fading off by midday. and personally i doubt the tea tree component in it is working. but i might find it again if i see it at discount price.
basically this doesn't do anything for me. period. i bought it because my previous encounters with tea tree products work for me & i adore the tea tree scent (ah.. i'm wierd but i just love the medicated minty scent.). i dislike the screw on cap which i tend to have problem opening it. as for the pricing, for the amount and its effectiveness, i fidn it over-charged. lucky for those who find this product effective as it does none for me.
Mascara -Fasio - Power-Stay Mascara 3D Curl Volume
xcocox 8/31/2004 8:13:00 AM
i bought mine at SGD13.90 at 20% (as watson singapore is having sales again), which reasoned down to reasonably cheap :). I like my mascara in black, hence naturally mine is in 001 black.
the good: the waterproof-ness is really something to rave about. i really stays on well. no smudges at the end of the day due to oily skin (aka raccoon eyes, dark rims at the lower lids). but removal may be a problem. a oil-based remover is definitely required here. (to me, it is a hinderance to use a oil based make up remover prior to my usual facial wash)
the bad: i dislike the formula. it smells bad. very synthetic but smell alone won't turn me off that bad. rather it is the formula that irritate my eyes. especially when i am a contact lens user. in addition, it doesn't deliver what it promise. no curl. the only curl in my lashes are from my eyecurler. no volume built up too. i know it is wasteful but i tend to wipe thw mascara wand to remove the excess o prevent clumps before applications. but i failed to achieved similar or better results like that with my trusty Maybelline Full & Soft. In addition, something about the formula makes the lashes clump and stick to each other despite my usual careful routine in preventing clumpy ugly lashes. it doesn't allow build up of volume without sccumbing to clumps. this is bad. my lashes simply look slightly better defined. the formula dries fast, which doesn't quite allow me to comb through my lashes to separate them for the natural look. i dislike that too. in addition, my lashes are hard and brittle. hate that.
verdict: waste of money. seriously,i should have stick to my maybelline full and soft (to me, maybelline produces the best mascara in terms of price and quality). it allow me to build up lashes volume yet remaining soft to touch (not hard and brittle like this one does to my lashes). the pckaging wise is fine, acceptable for a drugstore brand, especially when i've seen worst. frankly, sleek silver is a cool choice. orange is natural as that is fasio trademeark colour.
my advice? don't buy. you can browse for this item here
updates: i threw the mascara away but i kept the brush wand as i feel it does a neat job in combing through the lashes.
i can't remember how much i bought it for. probably within SGD10 at some bodyshop xmas sale or something. overall, i like the scent but i do not like the greasy, oil film it leaves on my skin. i simply cannot tolerate that in the humid hot weather of singapore. perhaps, others in for forgiving climates can have better use for this. furthermore, i prefer a squeeze tube that a scoop tub like this one.
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Born Lippy Lip Balm
xcocox 6/13/2004 11:09:00 PM
I've this in strawberry, raspberry and the limited edition, cranberry. i like it but i doubt i like it enough to repurchase them again becuase except the lovely scent and tint it provides (which then again, can be easily replacable by other lip products), i find its overall performance medicore. it doesn't really moisturise my lips well. even if it does, the effects barely lasts. hate the pot packaging- messy, dirty and unhygienic. its probably just the fun of applying flavoured lip balm and how it made ur lips felt when u just applied it then. pity
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Lip Butter - Mango
xcocox 6/13/2004 10:43:00 PM
Medicore product. dislikes: the pot style; lip butter harden and have bits in it after some time; find it slightly more to the greasy side than moisturising. Likes: the scent-lovely lovely; does leave lips soft and exfoliated if i remember to use it (regularly). Neutral: the overall performance & the price. Probably won't buy it again unless rock cheap.
Love this lip balm. love the flavour alot (smells great and i don't mind eating bitsy off at times though i know lip balm is no nutritous food!) ha. i love the shimmer bits too (so pretty! its the bits that made it special from other flavoured lip balm and i don't find the shimmers irritating). i love the colour (warm, red tint- just the right amount on my lips) PRETTY! i love it but pity, i finally finished my lip balm and i missed out the limited edition (during the xmas sale) *sigh* Nevertheless, i really do not like the pot packaging. i'll give it a 5 if only it comes in a wand or stick. pity. and the price (SGD8.90) is bit expensive for a lip balm. sigh
