Hair Color -L'Oreal - Casting Creme Gloss

I purchased this product in the shade 'Plum' PACKAGING&INSTRUCTIONS: The dye is in a really nice box which has a funky curved shape to it. The shade is really easy to see unlike some dyes, and it is simple but effective. The instructions are set out clearly and are very easy to follow. APPLICATION: I found it quite messy to apply. The dye was really runny so I ended up getting it everywhere, but that may just be my clumsiness rather than the actual dye. One box was enough to cover my full head, but only just. People with hair longer than their shoulders would most likely need 2 or more boxes. WASHING OUT: It was very easy to wash out, and the water was running from purple to clear in about 5-10 minutes. The conditioner that came with the dye smells amazing, and there is enough for more than one application. RESULTS: My hair turned a very dark, almost black colour, with a very noticeable purple tint when outside in the sun. It was a really nice shade and I got so many compliments! It was a subtle purple tint, but enough to be noticed. my hair wasn't damaged from using the dye-if anything it felt in a better condition after dying it than what it felt like before dying it! Since the dye was only semi-permanent it was meant to wash out after 28 washes, however I felt that it faded much quicker than this. Overall PROS - Great selection of shades to choose from - Turned out an awesome colour - Easy to wash out - Nice packaging - Really good conditioner - My hair was in excellent condition CONS - Faded VERY quickly - Very runny formula - I was staining towels purple even a week after dying my hair.

Hair Color -Schwarzkopf - Perfect Mousse

Ive used this product many times in the following shades: Black, Bordeaux Red, Dark Brown, and Chocolate Brown. Every time I use this dye, no matter what the color, I get really good results. PACKAGING&INSTRUCTIONS: The packaging is simple, but effective. The boxes are purple and white which go really well together and look nice. The instructions are very easy to understand and clear. They are also set out neatly and in a way that you don't miss anything important. They also contain diagrams for extra help. APPLICATION: The dye is so easy to apply! The mousse formula is as simple as putting shampoo on your hair, and the mousse comes in an easy pump dispenser. The dye isnt runny, and it covers your hair easily and without much trouble. Theres a LOT of dye in the dispenser, I had enough to cover my whole head completely, and enough leftover to probably colour somebody elses, and my hair is medium length. It was easy to cover my whole head without help and without missing any patches. WASHING OUT: The mousse washes out just like shampoo, so you dont get covered in dye whilst in the shower. The dye comes with a really nice conditioner to put on your hair- it has a really pleasant fruity smell, and there was enough for more than one application in the small tube. RESULT: I always get really great results with this hair dye- I've used it in Black, Brown and Red, and with the exception of the red dye which just changed streaks of my hair red, the other dyes turned out exactly as the colour is portrayed on the box. My hair is never badly damaged and it always looks really glossy. The colour lasts a few weeks before it gradually starts to fade out. Overall: PROS - Really easy to apply - Awesome smelling conditioner - Really nice shades to choose from - Decently priced - Handy pump dispenser - Turns out very close to the shade on the box - Lots of dye in the dispenser CONS - Fades into a dull colour after a few weeks - Can sometimes be irritating on your scalp

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
xSunshiinex 12/6/2012 12:04:00 AM
One of my favorites! It goes on smoothly and easily, and if necessary I can apply more than one coat without my eyelashes clumping together or looking horribly fake. It dries really quickly and it makes my lashes look very long, but quite thin- almost spidery! I love the packaging, its really modern and funky, but the tube is a bit big so can be hard to carry around. Overall PROS - Doesnt flake - Long lasting - Doesnt clump easily - Makes my lashes really long - Can easily apply more than one coat without my lashes looking clumped and fake - Good price CONS - The tube is quite chunky - Didnt last very long

Foundations -Rimmel - Wake Me Up

I really disliked this foundation. SHADES: I have extremely pale skin (almost unnaturally pale!), so whenever I buy a foundation its always in the palest shade available, but when I bought the palest shade for this foundation it was extremely dark and very orange, which I straightaway disliked. APPLYING: The foundation went on smoothly, and it has a thin, almost runny consistency. I applied using a foundation brush and I also tried using a sponge. Both applications left me with the same effect. It was easy to blend. COVERAGE: The coverage could be better, could be worse. I'd say it was light to medium. FINISH: I found that this foundation left me looking very greasy. I tried applying a thin layer of powder to set it but it seemed to just make the foundation clog up in places of my skin and look caked, even though I was only wearing a thin layer. It was also very glittery- way too much glitter in the foundation in my opinion. PRICE: It wasnt too expensive, I thought the price was quite good considering the size of the bottle. PACKAGING: The foundation has really nice packaging. Its in a small glass bottle with a funky orange colored lid and text. The pump dispenser was handy but you had to push very lightly because it released a LOT of foundation in one go. Overall: PROS - Decent price - Just the right sized bottle - Nice, bright packaging CONS - The shades were awful. There are barely any shades to choose from and even the lightest is a dark orange colour. - Left my skin very greasy looking and oily. - Way to sparkly - Kept sliding off my skin - Didnt stay on very long - Caked up on my skin and went flaky in places

Liquid -L'Oreal - Infallible 16hr foundation
xSunshiinex 12/5/2012 11:32:00 PM
Probably my favourite liquid foundation! APPLYING: I apply the foundation using a sponge and it goes on smoothly and blends together really easily. It would go on just as flawlessly using a brush or your fingers, but you only need a small amount- a little goes a long way! COVERAGE: The coverage is easily buildable. I only apply a thin layer and its enough to cover my blemishes and pink cheeks so I'd say the coverage is medium to full. FINISH: The foundation leaves a natural, dewy finish to your skin, but I prefer a more matte finish so usually go over it with a pressed powder. It also has a really nice smell- its fresh and reminds me of sun cream. I wouldnt say this lasted 16 hours though- after a few hours my skin turned slightly oily, so I had to reapply more powder. PRICE: It was a little pricey, I bought it in Priceline and it was over $30 which for a drugstore foundation I found expensive. PACKAGING: The foundation is in a small glass bottle with a handy pump dispenser. It has an expensive look to it, but overall it lasted me a good few months which was much longer than I expected it to. Overall: PROS - Great shades - Handy packaging - Blends well - Amazing coverage - Lasts a good while - Flawless finish CONS - Kind of pricey - Doesnt last anywhere near 16 hours - Can sometimes turn slightly orange in places after a few hours

Powder -Clinique - Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15
xSunshiinex 12/5/2012 11:16:00 PM
This is the best powder foundation that I've ever used! After going through a multitude of foundations in an attempt to find one pale and decent enough looking for my horribly pale skin, I ended up going to Myers where I bought Clinique's Almost Powder in the lightest shade, which was 'Fair'. The coverage is supposedly 'sheer' but I found that this wasnt the case, and the coverage is very buildable. The foundation is pale enough for my skin and covers the few blemishes that I have on my forehead. The size of the packaging means you only get a small amount of the powder but to my surprise it has lasted me for more than two months, and there's still a fair amount left. Overall: PROS- - Amazing coverage - Pale enough even for my skin! - Handy mirrored-compact packaging - Stays on most of the day without the need to reapply often - SPF 15 - Comes with a sponge CONS- - Only a small compact - Can be quite drying around my nose and forehead
