Hair Color -L'Oreal - Feria Haircolor
xChocobunny 2/3/2013 6:32:00 PM
Having (very) dark Asian-brown and thick hair (that is mid-back), I chose a shade that was several numbers above it in an attempt to change my hair colour to a brown. I don't remember the exact shade of brown I wanted, but I do remember going with 100 very light naturally blonde. P.S. I only used one box and I still had enough to do another dying session had it been able to be stored. The instructions were useful- full of preparation tips, had everything I needed to start the dying process without additional purchases, and even an after-dying care conditioner. I followed the instructions accordingly. I poured the colouring bottle into the developing bottle, put on the cone-shaped lid and shook what felt like forever to ensure everything was properly mixed. Then I snipped a bit off the top of the cone-lid and got to work. I squeezed it onto my gloved hand, pressed my hands together, and applied it as evenly as I could to my hair- leaving my roots for last as any given section of hair as hair dye tends to be more quickly absorbed at the scalp due to the heat escaping from our heads (and feet, just an FYI). I went an extra mile to ensure the colouring would work to its maximum due to the known-stubborness of Asian hair by putting it into a hair cap and blowing the inside of it with a hairdryer for 5 minutes and then left it on for about 20 minutes. After washing it out, there was a conditioner said to be used once a week (and should last for 4 weeks). The result was gorgeous and the brown I wanted with a red undertone. The brightness of the colour did tone down a bit to a more wearable and sophisticated colour which is also nice (I didn't mind). It's fun to see my roots grow as I am trying to grow out my hair- so I can say this does not affect MY hair growth (as results and experiences WILL differ from others, these are just my comments and thoughts). Summary: -everything needed was included -doesn't affect hair's condition and functions -succeeded in colouring the all-known stubborn Asian hair (I have thick **Colour box used was several shades lighter than the actual colour I wanted -does not fade (very noticeably anyway)

Styling Products -Garnier - FRUCTIS Sleek and Shine - Leave-in Conditioning Cream
xChocobunny 10/19/2012 7:07:00 AM
The paackaging was nice- no awkward half broken-caps. However, this did the absolute opposite for my hair. It made it MORE frizzy-looking. If I moved even one strand out of place, a couple strands will go with it and then when I let go, it just droops awkwardly on my head. I found that out the hard way- imagine that on a windy day. My hair is thick is not that frizzy to begin with, depends on the weather. Another plus I guess was that I think my hair colour lightened a bit more? It's been two months since I last died it and with Liese bubble hair dye, it usually lightens to it's actual colour in a week so I'm certain it wasn't the hairdye lightening still as adding this product to my routine was the only thing that changed.

Treatments -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment

This.. Didn't do anything beneficial for my hair. Ugh I should of seen it coming but was so excited because of all the rave I've been hearing for this. This product made my hair frizzier and oily even faster. No matter how much I used (lessened it) or how I distributed it to my hair (sectioned my hair and applied DIME sized amounts, to my ends slowly working up, allpossibleways), but no improvement in the result. It also has quite a strong..mix between a medicinal smell and floral..? And it doesn't go away until you shampoo it out.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Lineur Intense
xChocobunny 7/8/2012 2:21:00 PM
Love it. Stays put on my oily eyelids no matter the type of day. Stays true to the carbon-black colour name. Has a flexible spongy felt-tip to make the winged/cateye look that much easier. The lettering on the tube does not wear off.

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer
xChocobunny 7/8/2012 2:08:00 PM
Honestly, the only thing I loked about this product was the packaging. It has a twist-and-lock pump feature so it's hygenic. However, I don't feel this did much of a difference to my skin. It did very little to help my blemishes and left my skin feeling a bit dry (so much for a moisturizer). It also did not help to prevent future blemishes or breakouts. Will not be repurchasing.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream
xChocobunny 7/8/2012 2:02:00 PM
I really like this moisturizer! I have combo skin (normal-dry cheek with an oily t-zone) and it manages to keep both types of skin feeling plump and moisturized. A little bit of this goes a long way. It has a light pleasent scent and goes on really smoothly. I have only used this as a nighttime moisturizer and therefore have not tried this under my makeup (I use Garnier's moisture rescue with spf15 in the morning under my makeup). It is really light on the skin, but keeps it moisturized and plump throught the night and even until I woke up. Upon application there is a slight cooling sensation. The only con I can think of is the packaging. It's not that hygenic as you have to dip your fingers in, but I can see the problem if the added a pump- it would exert too much product. It is also in a glass jar, it could chip and break which would just really suck. Would totally buy again for $6 as you do not need that much product for the face.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
xChocobunny 7/4/2012 2:05:00 AM
I looovvvee this eyeliner. I've only used it for a day and I'm so wowed as it is the only eyeliner l've tried to not have smudged onto my lower eyes or crease that I had to write a review for it the following day. So here gos: I left this on from 8am til 12am the next day. The entire day was very humid at 34'C. This stayed put through the humidity and my watery eyes both from the weather and from a movie. It applied with ease with its felt tip (which looks kinda spongy, therefore it's flexible for the winged/cat eye look) and the finish was more matte in my opinion. Also a plus for the packaging! The lettering doesn't wear off like most makeup packagings.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
xChocobunny 7/4/2012 1:59:00 AM
The only pro I found to this was that it indeed look like the finish of a liquid liner. However, this eyeliner does smudge onto my lower eyes and my crease. This is also not a mechanical pencil so literally, the product you see at the top is what you get for the 7bucks you pay (at least I did). It also didn't come woth a sharpener and I imagine it would be hard to continue using it as is to create thin lines. I exchanged this for the L'Oreal lineur intense felt tip and had much better luck with it (Yay for Walmart's return/exchange policy!)

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
xChocobunny 4/1/2012 6:27:00 PM
I have this in transparent, as I am using this to set my liquid foundation. This is lightweight and is perfect for my t-zone. It was able to keep my combo, oily t-zone matte for my entire day, no touchups! The packaging however, I noticed some people have complained about the packaging. The rims of the container have spaces where it's a twist and open/close kind of thing. Just an fyi. But it is a bit loose and doesn't feel secure. So far it hasn't fallen apart in my bag, but I will keep this in a plastic bag when carrying it around with me for possible touch ups as a precaution. Edit: I don't know what happened, but It seemed as I used up the top layer, it stopped working as nicely as it was. I am still kept matte, but only for a shorter timeframe compared to all-day like it was. I am also experiencing dryness and flakes at the creases of my nose and believe it is because of this product or it may be because of the change in weather. I will update it if it is bc of this or not.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser
xChocobunny 3/20/2012 3:59:00 PM
To clarify, this is a review for the green bottle. I really like this along with the scrubber it comes with. I use it twice every day and did not experience any drying like some MUA users here with my combo skin. The cleanser has a light flowery smell I would say. It's gel like and foams nicely. The scrubber is effective and gentle to use and it seems to make my other cleansers more effectively when I ran out of this product to use it with. This cleansed my skin and has dramatically cleared my light-medium acne like none of the other cleansers I have tried so far, possible because of the saylic acid in this one. While it treated my acne, I believe it also helped prevented pimples. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed with none of the filmy after-feel.

Cleansers -St. Ives - Apricot Cleanser-Blemish Fighting
xChocobunny 3/13/2012 10:16:00 AM
The smell was a bit overwhelming for me, but I continued using it (about half the tube now) hoping for results. This did absolutly nothing. I mean, it didn't help with my blemishes like it claimed or created any..it was just..eh. The scrub in this line is much better.

Lips -Sally Hansen - Lip Inflation Extreme
xChocobunny 3/12/2012 5:22:00 PM
I love this lip gloss! I recieved this as a gift so I'm not sure of the price. I have this in Sheer Cherry and the colour is sooo pretty and flattering, as well as glossy. It's slightly a lighter colour than what it shows in the glass tube, but definatley sheer. The glitter you can see in the tube will not show on your lips. It does feel tingly for a bit- as the packaging states, and my lips do look fuller! Stays true to it's purpose. It also seems to smooth out my lips (even if it was chapped to begin with), moisturizing, and has that glossy feel while it is NOT sticky. Packaging-It has a brush instead of the spongey tip- no big deal. It is in a clear, glass tube with a gold top for the applicater. Although it is cubed/not like most lipglosses where it is circular, it is always closed perfectly and tight- no awkward closure.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV Lotion SPF 15
xChocobunny 1/28/2012 4:19:00 PM
I love this moisturizer. It's lightweight, has a smooth texture, and a light fresh scent. It absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling smooth, fresh, moisturized, and looks great under my makeup. This is my first lotion with spf and I'm loving it so I can't really compare to others. I also noticed a slight reduction with my blemishes as this is the ony thing I changed in my routine (I don't think my diet changed mich either). I also really liked how it is in a bottle with a twist-lock feature- hygenic! Will continue repurchasing!

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer - Noir
xChocobunny 1/27/2012 1:18:00 AM
Really pigmented. Useful sharpener at the end when you want to get those really thin lines- it hasn't failed me yet. I don't like the smudger though.. as I prefer it to have more precision like Covergirl's pointplus how it is a slanted-cut. However, it did smudge under my eye in about 3hours. I also noticed I bought the waterproof version..was absolutely not. It comes off with ease with water.

Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen
xChocobunny 1/25/2012 3:17:00 PM
Terrible. The pigmentation wasn't enough to live up to its name; blackest black. It easily comes off and is a streaky mess. I always thought Revlon products were over-priced, but this was on sale when my usual eyeliner was out of stock and I decided to give Revlon another try. Big mistake.
