This was my first eye primer, and I'm sad to say it didn't work for me at all. I don't naturally have an issue with shadows creasing on me; I wanted this product more to bring out some of the vibrancy of my shadows. Imagine my displeasure then, when I found that this supposedly 'anti-crease' product actually CREATED creasing issues where I had none before! No matter how sparingly it was applied, how long I let it dry, and how much I 'kneaded' the tube, it always creased. I've tried it on my sister, and it seemed to work better for her, so it must just be my skin. :(
This was one of two of my first MAC shadows and at first I was disappointed that I got 'suckered' into buying purple, as I already own a lot of purple shadows because I like it on my hazel eyes and wanted something different. Anyways, I love Sketch. I use it all the time to deepen my crease/outer-V and it just adds a really nice dimension. A little goes a very long way, and as long as you use a soft hand, there is no trouble with blending.
I just started my MAC collection and was under the impression that Shroom was a great 'beginner' colour. After receiving it and trying to work with it, however, I couldn't disagree more. I cannot for the life of me even get this product on my brush, it's such awful texture. I've tried wet, I've tried dry, I've tried my finger - this eyeshadow is terrible. I'm very disappointed that I wasted my money ($15!) on this shadow when I could have gotten something else. **EDIT** I've changed this from one lippie to three. While my pan of Shroom still doesn't live up to the hype, I have found uses for it in my routine, and the more I work with it the more I seem to be able to pick up product. Still, it's taken a lot of effort for such a highly rated product.
