Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
willozza 9/27/2011 2:24:00 AM
The one thing that is preventing me from using this top coat again is that it makes my nail colour skrink after 1 day. It's okay if you have a light colour on but you have a dark colour, it looks really bad. Like you haven't bothered to paint your whole nail. The other thing I don't like about it is that it tends to peel alot.

Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint eye pencil in Engraved
willozza 9/27/2011 2:20:00 AM
This eyeliner is very soft and easy to apply. I keep the eyeliner on for at least 12 hours and it does not smudge or go into the corners of my eyes. The bad thing is that when you go to sharpen the eyepencil, there is abit of wastage so you need to be careful not to over sharpen it.

Eyeliner -Australis - Eye Pencil
willozza 7/27/2010 1:28:00 AM
This eyeshadow has lasted me for over a year. I use it approx. 3 - 4 times a week. It's soft and easy to apply. I just need to warm it in my hand before applying. I think this is good value for money. The only bad thing about this is that it smudges pretty badly. By the afternoon, I can seethe corner of my eyes smudging.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Priceline - Cucumber Gentle Cleansing Wash
willozza 7/27/2010 1:24:00 AM
I hav been using this for over a year now. It's such a great cleanser. It cleans without stripping my already dry skin of its moisture. Usually, when after I cleanse my face and before I put my moisturiser on my face will start to feel really dry and comfortable. But not with this cleanser. Plus it's cheap as well.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
willozza 1/15/2009 6:54:00 PM
I love this brush. I got it as a result of the high reviews on MUA and I don't regret it one bit. I use it to apply my foundation and powder. It gives my face a soft airbrushedlook. You can also use it to apply other products like blush, bronzer etc. However, the problem with that is that the brush will get quite dirty with all these products on it. So, it's probably best to get a 2nd brush if you would like to use other poducts. But that's only if you have extra $$$ lying around becuase this brush is pretty expensive!!!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
willozza 10/2/2008 6:09:00 PM
I love this brush. This is a must have if you like to apply more than one colour to your eyes. I use it exclusively for blending after I have applied my colours and it blends effortlessly. The brush does not actually collect the colours from your eyes (which is what eyebuds does for those who have tried blending using this). It distributes the colours so nicely end effortlessly and it removes those harsh lines that separates my colours. You can either use the brush my swiping it over your eyes or use the windscreen method by circling it in sections along your eyes. Love it. Highly recommended. Just don't buy it in Australia. It's such a rip off. I got my friend to get for me overseas.

Polishes -Essie - Huckle Buckle
willozza 9/1/2008 11:41:00 PM
This is a purple lilac colour. I applied one thin coat followed by one thicker coat adn the colour came out nice. It's sheer where the white part of my nail was growing out. Other than that it was fine. It's not a very exciting colour. I had the colour on for 2 days. I think it would last at least 3 days before it started chipping.

Polishes -Essie - Curve Ball
willozza 8/28/2008 6:05:00 PM
This is my first Essie nail polish. It's more of a 75% pink mixed with 25% purple. It's a nice colour on my pale hands. I had it on for about 3 days before I saw the end of one nail start to peel a little bit. I would say you can probably last at least 4 days before the chips become visible and you would need to take it off. I found the application very streaky at first which is typical of the Essie brand. After playing around with a bit and asking people on the Board, I started applying one thin coat and then one thicker coat. This works well.

Mascara -Australis - Mega Lash Mascara
willozza 8/25/2008 2:09:00 AM
This is such a good value cheapie mascara. It defines my lash without giving me the clumps. Don't expect to see a huge difference. Great for work. My lashes are still curled by the end of the day.

Polishes -China Glaze - Don't be A Square
willozza 7/20/2008 6:16:00 PM
This is my first nail polish from China Glaze and I love it. The colour is a pinky sort of colour with plenty of glitter and sparkles. So far I have only tried it with one coat and the colour is already quite visble. This is easy to apply and there are no streaks at all. I'm not sure whether its my bottle but I did find the formula to be quite thick and runny. Maybe I need to put some thinner on it. But I still found that it was quite managable. It also dries really quickly. When I finished painting my last finger and went back to the first finger I painted, it had already dried. I then add Sally Hansen's Insta Dri Topcoat and I'm out the door. So easy. However, I'm not sure about how long this will last for before it starts chipping because I only wore it on the weekend. I had to take it off on Sunday because I work in a conservative enviornment.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner-Black
willozza 7/17/2008 2:44:00 AM
The sales assistant recommended this to me because I said that I wanted something to line my inner rims. I usually use MAC's fluidline but I don't like using the gel and brush on my lower inner rim so I thought I'll get something that was a bit softer. Everything about this Revlon eyeliner is great except for one thing. It tends to tug my eyelids abit when I try to draw the line on the top of my eye. I think I'll keep this until I finished with it but I don't think I'll be repurchasing because of the tugging factor. Also, you need to keep the eyeliner sharp if you don't want to have a space between your liner and your eye.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Dry Kwik Nail Color Dryer
willozza 7/15/2008 9:31:00 PM
Silly me! I saw that Insta-Dri had great reviews but forgot to bring the name of the actual product with me when I went shopping. Instead I got this Dry Kwik thinking it was the same thing. Anyways, I have used it twice so far and it doesn't "Dry Kwik" at all. I applied it one minute after I applied my base coat. Then after 5 minutes I touched my nails and felt that it was dry to touch. So I went to bed. The next day when I woke up, I saw smudges and a few bubbles on my nails. That just wrecked one hour of painful painting the previous night. What a waste of money! Now I wished that I should of been more patient and waited until I bring the correct name with me to the shops.

Top/Base Coats -Maybelline - Colorama - Give Me the Chills (topcoat)
willozza 7/15/2008 9:19:00 PM
I have to agree with what the other reviewers have said. This does look like tiny strands of yellow hay on your nails. It's more visible when on top of another colour. I tried it alone and it wasn't too bad but it had a yellow tint to it so it made my nails look dirty and unhealthy. I got it because it was cheap but I don't think I'll use it again because it just doesn't look good on nails.

Top/Base Coats -Maybelline - Colorama - Frosty Pink (topcoat)
willozza 7/15/2008 9:10:00 PM
This is one of my first nail polishes. I haven't tried the other big brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie etc. I like the colour of this top coat. When applied over an opaque colour, it gives out these little red shimmers. It makes an otherwise normal nail colour more interesting. But the shimmers doesn't stand out like the new holo top coats stuff other companies are making. I got this because it was cheap (AUD$2) compared to the other drugstore brands like Revlon, Maybelline, Rimmel. But I don't think I'll buy again because I have found this wholesaler that stocks the big brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Orly at cheaper than retail prices. I think I will start experimenting with the colours from these big brands instead.

Polishes -Maybelline - Colorama - Pink Cadillac
willozza 7/15/2008 9:00:00 PM
This is one of my first nail polish purchases and so I can't compare it to the more popular brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie etc. This is a really light pink colour. Good if you work in a conservative enviornment. With one coat, you can only see a sheer pink tint. With two coats, it's more of an opaque colour. But bear in mind that you can still see the white ends of your nails under the two coats. So I would not recommend this if you are use to something more noticeable because this is definitely not noticeable unless you put your hand in front of someone's face. But I still like it because it makes my nails look nice and clean and gives it that little bit of colour. In terms of wear, I have had it on for about 3 days now and still no chips. Even if there were chips, it won't be too noticable because of the light colour. I find that there are no streaking as long as you apply thin coats. It's a small bottle but I don't think I'll be purchasing it again because I don't think I can use it all and I would like to try other colours from other brands.
