Mascara -MAC - Zoom lash
wiggleit76 4/29/2010 5:31:00 AM
I was really surprised that this mascara was quite so clumpy. As soon as you pull the wand out the mascara is in globules all over the not very good brush which makes it really difficult to apply. If you comb through with an eyelash comb after applying each coat it's actually quite a nice mascara, but it's just such a faff. I'm very surprised MAC have produced it as I'm usually a big fan.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
wiggleit76 4/29/2010 5:22:00 AM
I really can't understand the good reviews about this product, I bought it purely from the reviews on here and I am stunned by the aweful results I got. The cold cream can just about cope with removing tinted moisturiser, no foundation heavier than that. More importantly It is utterly useless at removing mascara and eyeliner so I end up having to slather on loads and it's IMPOSSIBLE to wash off! Added to that it gave me a cystic acne breakout which I haven't had for 15 years.

Treatments -Kerastase - Noctogenist Overnight Revitalizing Treatment - FINE hair
wiggleit76 8/25/2009 5:20:00 PM
I have to agree with the great reviews here, this product is AMAZING! When I wake up, my hair is soft and smells so scrummy. It makes combing/brushing much easier, and it really does seem to help keep 'omph' in my hair. You do have to be careful not to get it on your roots as it will make them greasy, but other than that I have nothing bad to say.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Lash Architect Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
wiggleit76 4/2/2008 2:32:00 PM
I was suckered into buying this product when I saw a 3 for 1 offer, and so was tempted away from my usual MaxFactor Masterpiece Max. Firstly the spiral brush is just rubbish, it makes lashes clumpy and gloopy and doesn't deliver the promised 'false lash effect'. After only 30 minutes the mascara starts migrating off my lashes and I end up looking panda-eyed. To top it off I too am having a reaction to it, which is surprising as I've used their Superliner without problem for years. As far as I can see, this is a less than average mascara charging above average prices - don't bother, if you want false lash effect buy MaxFactor Masterpiece Max it is only £1 more expensive and 100% better.

Shampoo -Toni & Guy - Refreshing Dry Shampoo
wiggleit76 2/2/2008 8:56:00 AM
I really love the way this produce does not leave a white residue and adds volume to my fine hair. It is a 'mattifying' product so it will take the shine off your hair, but I think that is a small price to pay. Also I usually have a very sensitive scalp but this does not irritate my scalp at all. The only really negative thing is the smell of this product, it has a musty smell that makes me feel quesy and is the only reason I won't buy this product again, which is a real shame as in other ways it performs so well.

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Repair Serum with Attar of Rose
wiggleit76 9/4/2007 1:38:00 PM
I really really wanted to love this product because of all the good reviews. I have very very dry eczema prone skin so I thought all the natural ingredients would be brilliant... My eye area now looks more lined, is flakier and drier than it has been in years, this doesn't moisturise, it just sits on the skin making makeup application impossible, all eye makeup sliiiides off if used in the morning, and I wake up with puffy swollen eyes if I use it overnight. Considering how expensive it is to buy in the UK (nearly twice the US price - why?!) I'm so dissapointed.

Concealers -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat No 2
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 5:05:00 AM
I know that this is sacrilige but I think all 'light reflecting/highlighters' should be banned from under they eyes. As already pointed out in some reviews this just 'highlights' any fine lines and, it's sold as a conclealer/highlighter (surely a contradiction?), but it does NOTHING to cover dark shadow. You look like a reverse panda and I also agree with the reviews that said this smells awful, plus you can't clean the brush! This is the most overrated underperforming product I've ever experienced.

Moisturizers -Christian Dior - Capture R60-80 Ultimate Wrinkle Creme
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:59:00 AM
My 58 year old smoker mother recommended this for my as I have really deep frown lines on my forehead at only 30. Her skin is beautifully smooth and plump for her age (no I promise she's had no surgical intervention!) I really can't praise this day cream enough, it's nice and moisturizing and does not irritate my dry sensitive skin. And best of all, used in conjuction with Capture Total night cream, but frown lines continue to be significantly reduced, and my make up goes on really beautifully. The fragrance is a little off-putting, but for the results I will happily over-look that. If you want great results fast invest in this and the night cream!

Moisturizers -Christian Dior - Capture Totale Ritual Nuit
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:52:00 AM
I know this is a really expensive product, but boy does this deliver! Firstly the packaging is just beautiful, with the instructions coming in a little envelope and the jar a shiny lilac/purple colour, as well as a scoop so you don't have to put your fingers in the cream. Right onto the cream, I am 30 years old with very deep frown lines and dry sensitive skin that tends to lack radiance. Well after just ONE application, I woke up in the morning and my frown lines were so substantially reduced that I had to get really up close to the mirror to see them! My skin looked a bit plumper and far more radiant. I've only been using it a few days, but if this is the result after such a short time I will stick with this cream forever! My 58 year old mother has also been using this product for a couple of months and she recommended it after I noticed how nice her skin looked, even though she is a smoker, the skin is smooth and not as saggy as it was. If that isn't an endorsement I don't know what is!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:42:00 AM
I've used cheaper brushes before but I will never use them again after using this blending brush! I use this to blend in my concealer, and with just a tiny amount on the brush, it blends evenly and lightly so I can build if I need to. I can't recommend this enough, I can't believe I've gone so long without this brush!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:39:00 AM
Like everyone else I think this is a fabulous brush. I had never used a brush to apply foundation before - what an idiot I've been, this makes my foundation go on beautifully with a gorgeous even coverage, and no messy fingers! Most definitely worth the money

Pressed Powders -MAC - Select Sheer Pressed Powder
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:31:00 AM
I only use this product on areas that need it (t-zone) and I find this a wonderful product, and kept me nice and matt, but still not too dry even when I was quite sweaty under lots of lights on stage. I didn't find this too cakey at all like some reviewers have mentioned, however, I did only apply to my 'oily' areas, so I can imagine if you put it on normal or dry areas it might cake. This is a fabulous product that delivers excactly what it promised.

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:27:00 AM
I love this product it's brilliant! My SA recommended this in conjuction with Studio Tech foundation (spray on brush before applying foundation) and to use afterwards if I needed a moisture surge on my dry skin, and it's a miracle worker. I can see how this may be too sticky for normal or oilier skins, but it's perfect for my skin, and when using it after applying makeup too, my makeup stayed put through getting quite sweaty on stage under lots of lights. I don't have enough good things to say about this product, totally worth the money.

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:19:00 AM
This is my first foray into MAC and I am really impressed! Fabulous colour match (NC30), I told the SA I had dry skin and even though I have quite a good complexion, I needed more than tinted moisturizer coverage for being on stage and this is what she recommended in conjuction wih the Fix+ on my brush before applying and whenever I felt dry (which hasn't happened yet!) I find that the two products together work perfectly for my skin without drying it or highlighting dry/flakey areas, and the foundation itself gives a really nice medium coverage if I want to use it off stage, and is buildable so I can use on stage. I'm definitely a MAC convert!

Moisturizers -Nivea - DNAge Night Cream
wiggleit76 4/4/2007 4:05:00 AM
Hate it hate it hate it, doesn't moisturize enough, has sensitized my skin, and I looked 5 years older afer using for a couple of weeks. Plus it's not even that cheap. Please don't waste your time or money or skin's health on this product.
