Eye Shadow -Flirt - Dreamy Eyes eyeshadow in Honey Lemonade

This is my favorite eye shadow EVER. It's a unique white gold eye shadow and looks amazing on my upper lash lines. It really brings out my eye shape and makes my green eyes pop like crazy. I always get complements when wearing this stuff, and I could see this making dark eyes in general pop as well. This is my go-to if I'm wanting to impress. I can see why people wouldn't like the packaging, but I personally like it, it's unique.

This specific product has such a cult following that I was SOOO excited when I found out that my Ulta had it. This is the best inner corner highlighter ever, its foolproof, just a smear in the inner corner and blend and it looks awesome. I also like using this on my upper lashline with a white gold eye shadow on top, looks really amazing when used this way.

Foundations -Wet 'n' Wild - Intuitive Blend
rated 5 of 5

This is the perfect foundation for someone that is a beginner. That is what I am and that is exactly what I was looking for when I went to the drugstore. I wanted something foolproof and cheap that I could practice with, and this is what I found. May I say that Wet N Wild's stuff in general continues to impress me, for the price you get a bang for your buck. I also bought this stuff because it's primer and foundation in one, so it's literally foolproof. This stuff blends like a dream, and adjusts perfectly to my skin, which I really really liked because most companies make you go through all this guesswork with a zillion foundation shades. I think that makeup companies should make more foundation like this, it just makes sense to me. It gives nice coverage, evens out my skintone, and gets rid of shine. The only thing that I did not love is that I can't use it with a brush, which if you're trying to practice applying foundation with a brush than this stuff isn't for you. Because it is basically foundation beads set in primer, it makes it impossible to apply with a brush because the beads sink into the bristles and than all that's left is just straight primer. So this stuff does have to applied with your fingers, which I hate doing, but for the price this gives me really great practice at blending and such.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Eden
rated 2 of 5

I was SOOO disappointed in this product. This had so much hype and I was so excited when I got a sample of it. It is my first eye primer too. So I was disappointed when my eye shadow still creased after a couple of hours. At first I just assumed that maybe all shadow primers did this and that it was impossible not have eye shadow crease after a few hours. But my mom ended up getting a Benefit shadow primer sample and when I tried that, guess what, it hadn't creased at all after a full day! So yeah it's just Urban Decay's primer. Really disappointing too because UD has seriously been my favorite brand since middle school. Don't let this review scare you away from their other products, it's just this one in particular that is problematic. The one thing that I liked about this product is that it does a good job at mattifying the lid. This is good for covering up eye lid veins and soaking up eye lid oil, which would be great if you were just looking to wear eye liner and that's it.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Liquid Liner in Radium
rated 5 of 5

If they ever discontinue this, I will scream. I LOVE this stuff, I always get complements when I wear it. It's a liquid eyeliner in a bright shade of cobalt blue, VERY beautiful color. And it goes on so easy, it doesn't do that weird streaky thing that a lot of dirt cheap liquid eyeliners tend to do. I love this because I can seriously have no other makeup on, I can just throw it on let it dry and go, and I will still get complements. It's the kind of makeup product that can stand on its own.

Pressed Powders -E.L.F. - Complexion Perfection

I am in love with ELF in general, I always stock up on their products when I go to Target. Their products tend to be hits and misses though; some are absolutely amazing for the price, and others aren't amazing at all. But this one in particular has become a stand-by for me. I have a huge problem with shine on my nose, and this powder mattifies my face like a dream. Just a sweep of it over my face and my face just looks better somehow. I can't say much about the lasting powder as I have never put it to the test but it's like $3 so for the price it's pretty dang nifty. I keep this in my purse with a cute powder puff as an alternative to oil blotting sheets. I personally don't like using oil blotting sheets because for some reason to me it's embarassing when rubbing it on in a public bathroom and you can see all the oil coming off. Eeeew! So I would definately recommend this to ANYONE, cause hey it's only $3! If you don't like it than you can just keep it around for emergencies.

Polishes -NARS - Midnight Express
rated 4 of 5
whiterose20 1/30/2011 11:12:00 AM

I LOVE this navy color. It's very unique, and I was wanting something that was dark like a black polish but that didn't scream "emo". This navy can be sophisticated and punk at the same time, which I love, it's very versatile and can be worn with many different outfits. I love the smoothness of the application. The only thing that I did not like about this is that it takes FOREVER to dry. I let this dry for a good half hour and laid down to take a nap and my nails got scuffed while I was sleeping. And especially for the money that I spent on this, which was even more because I had to order it online, I would expect this to have better drying power. Not sure if I would buy this particular nail polish again, am going to look for a similar navy color in a nail polish that dries faster.

Polishes -OPI - Will You Mari Achi Me
rated 5 of 5
whiterose20 1/30/2011 11:04:00 AM

This is a great alternative to nude nails. I was looking for something that wasn't as boring as the usual nude color, something with a little pizzazz to it. I went to get a manicure and saw this beautiful color and afterwards I bought it immediately. It's a very beautiful gold-pink pearl with a hint of lavender. It makes me feel very luxe and fancy when I'm wearing it, and goes with everything I wear. A lot of drugstore brand nail polishes have pearl colors but I usually don't buy drug store polishes in general because they always do this weird bubbling thing. I don't have that problem with this OPI polish, it goes on smooth and dries fairly quick. Would definately recommend this for someone that is trying to get out of a boring nude-nails rut.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection
rated 5 of 5
whiterose20 1/29/2011 11:35:00 PM

First I got this in Verve and then went back and got this in Divine, and I am already planning on going back and getting more. These lipsticks are awesome, they are super moisturizing and last an impressively long while for a drugstore lipstick. Verve is a frosty Barbie doll pink that looks great with bronzer on my cheeks, and like another reviewer said it gives my face such a nice glow. I put Verve on right after I bought it and went to work and got a complement almost immediately. I think the best confirmation that a product was worth buying is when you get complemented on it. Moving on to Divine, this wasn't what I expected but I still LOVED it. I was expecting the color that was on the tube, a fuchsia violet purple. When I put it on though it was a bright berry pink with a tinge of purple. Not disappointed at all though! This gives my lips the effect that I get when wearing those color-changing lip products that adjust to give you a custom shade of pink. I put this on, ate dinner, took a nap, and my lips were still stained a beautiful natural-looking berry pink. LOOOOOVE these lipsticks, am going to buy so many more.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Peach Petal
rated 5 of 5
whiterose20 1/29/2011 11:20:00 PM

GREAT nude, perfect with Kat Von D Agatha lipstick underneath. I underestimated the pigment of this lipstick, I thought it was going to be cheap and sheer but this has great color pigmentation on its own. Not sticky, which I LOVE because I hate lipsticks that feel like glue. I have yet to carry this in my purse so I can't say if the packaging has any leakage problems or not, but I love the look of it. I like how Revlon does their packaging in general, they manage to make everything look posh and expensive for a nice price. Would definately buy again.

Lipstick -Kat Von D - Agatha
rated 5 of 5
whiterose20 1/29/2011 11:13:00 PM

I LUUUUV this product. I can understand why people would give this bad reviews because it is a very very pale nude, but for me personally that's exactly what I was wanting. I have been searching for a pale mod nude lipstick FOREVER and this is exactly what I was looking for. It's a pale nude with a hint of pink, and looks amazing with a smoky eye and with Revlon Peach Petal lipgloss on top, very Kim Kardashian style. As I said earlier, I personally was looking for something that would purposely lighten my lips, so if you are looking for something that matches your natural lip color perfectly, than this probably wouldn't be for you. As for the product itself, the lipstick is moisturizing, moderately longlasting, and I love the tattoo-style packaging. Would definately recommend this for someone that doesn't want to bother buying a nude lipstick unless it's going to stand out.
