Eye Shadow -Vincent Longo - Autumn Rhythm Eyeshadow Trio
rated 4 of 5

Normally, I stay with the my traditional pink and browns. I'm Asian and feel too much color makes me look too made up. I was suspect of Autumn Rhythm. Purples usually stand out on my eyes but the purple is so subtle it's even more natural than the pink and brown combo I usually use. It's light enough that it looks natural but dark enough that my eyelid does look like a uni-lid. (Asian girls can understand my plight). With all Vincent Longo products, you can use this wet or dry. Dry gives you a natural look and wet intensifies the purple for a nighttime look.

Eye Shadow -Vincent Longo - Timeless Eyeshadow Trio

Great trio of shades. Perfect for evening and smoky eyes. It's perfect for that smoky look. It's a bit too much for summer looks for me but it is definitely a staple. I also use the black as a softer alternative to eyeliner.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stains
rated 5 of 5
wgrape 10/15/2006 3:13:00 AM

Have this in Flush. The push pop packaging is great except in warm temperatures, it can leak all over you make up bag. I suggest keeping it upright and in a cool environment. If you have to pack it with your other make up, wrap a kleenex in the inside and around to avoid staining bag and other makeup containers. Overall, it's a thick stain that appears sticky but after a minute, the stickiness disappears. The stickiness though helps to hold any shimmering powder you use on your apples. The push pop lasts forever. I've had mine for over a year and only recently have I had to worry about running out. If you are afraid that you may put too much on, use your fingers to apply instead although gently pressing it to your apples works too.

Lip Gloss -Tarte - Andie and Duckie
rated 3 of 5
wgrape 10/15/2006 3:04:00 AM

I really wanted the colors to work for me but only Andie made the cut for me. This is a thick gloss so be prepared and use sparingly. The wand seems a little too short because you need to tilt the gloss over to ensure getting all the gloss towards the end of the bottle. For the price you pay, you should feel you are able to get the most out of it but the wand just falls short. It's a heavy gloss so be prepared for the added weight.

I keep this in my purse as my lipstick. A perfect shade that works for day and night. Non-drying and lasts a long time. Doesn't flake the lips.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Color Juice in Watermelon Crush
rated 4 of 5
wgrape 10/15/2006 2:54:00 AM

Received a tube for free. I'm not a tube gloss fan but the color and light fragrance makes it a great backup in the office or gym bag. It's a pale color that works as a stand alone gloss or over a stain or lip stick. It doesn't clump or dry out your skin and although it's thick it isn't so heavy and gloopy that it feels like it's just sitting on your lips.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
rated 5 of 5
wgrape 10/15/2006 2:49:00 AM

The HG in skin cleansers. 2-3 drops deep cleans your face without drying. It's also gentle enough around the eyes. The smells is not overbearing and evokes a clean, freshness without perfuminess. Like all philosophy products, a little goes a long way so be miserly and the bottle will last you a long time!

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types
rated 2 of 5
wgrape 10/15/2006 2:46:00 AM

Great consistency but I couldn't stand the smell. It made my skin soft though. Maybe I bought a bad batch, everyone I know seems to love it but for the price I paid, I'm reluctant to give it a go again. If I get a free sample, I may give it a second try.

Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Help Me
rated 5 of 5

Very expensive but a whole tube can last over 6 months! Use sparingly. This stuff is powerful! Great for dark spots and large pores. Also works wonders for dry patchy areas but remember to use sunscreen!

Moisturizers -Philosophy - when hope is not enough replenishing cream
rated 5 of 5
wgrape 10/15/2006 2:42:00 AM

My favorite face cream. Non-oily but just the right consistency. Not heavy. Smells divine, much better than hope in a jar. Like most of philosophy's line, a little goes a long way. In the morning, your skin feels soft and silky. A HG in my skin care line up.

Lip Treatments -Too Faced - Lip Injection Extreme

I couldn't get past the putrid smell. I tried hard but I couldn't help but inhale it. The best description of the smell is chemical solvents being mixed. I had to wipe it off so I couldn't tell if it really plumped.

Lipstick -Vincent Longo - Lip Stain
rated 5 of 5
wgrape 2/16/2006 2:34:00 PM

This is a great product that provides just the right amount onto your lips and cheeks. One tube lasts forever and the the color can be as dark or as light as you wish. The applicator is perfect for lips and cheeks. It doesn't dry out your lips either. On a standard day, the stain lasted for most of the day. It even lasts past lunch for me. The amount in each tube isn't skimpy either and I love that you can visibly see how much is left in the tube.

Lip Treatments -City Cosmetics - city lips
rated 3 of 5

Although the tingling wasn't severe, I didn't see much of a difference after a few weeks. I continued to use the product as described but by the end of the tube, I felt like it was just a moisturizer and nothing else. It's a great moisturizer but I'd rather spend my money on a Burt's Bees lip balm if that's all it does.

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
rated 4 of 5
wgrape 2/16/2006 2:24:00 PM

I'm always in the kitchen and so my hands are usually dry but in the winter time my cuticles get ashy and unruly. This is less a creme and more an balmy like texture. At first I felt like it was doing nothing but making my cuticles smell like key lime pie but I continued to use it. I began carrying it with me and throughout the day, I would periodically rub it onto my cuticles. I know this sounds time consumming but it isn't. I now find myself naturally pulling out this tiny case and rubbing my cuticles while reading or checking my email. It has been over a month now and I can truly tell when I've forgotten to moisturize. My cuticles are softer and hang nails have dissappeared. My nails have also seem stronger. This isn't a overnight magic trick. You will need to continue to use this product. I suggest moisturizing your hands with Neutrogena Hand Cream, placing a bit more around your cuticles. Place your hands in gloves and go to bed. In the morning your hands and cuticles will be soft and lovely. Then use Burt's Bees Cuticle Creme as a maintenance product.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - City Lips Collagen Lip Plumping Treatment
rated 3 of 5
wgrape 3/5/2005 11:06:00 PM

I'm generally apprehensive about lip plumping formulas but I received a freebie from Sephora and decided to see what the hype was. If you are looking for a lip plumper, this thing did the trick. My one gripe is that it stings like there is no tomorrow. I haven't tried any other plumper so I'm not sure if that's normal but it is odd to feel like a bunch of stingers are hitting your lip. Personally, I only need it on my top lip but I only use it occasionally. When it runs out, I'm not sure if I'll purchase it or a competitors product. Maybe over time the stinging will be commonplace to me.
