Lipstick -Milani - Color Statement (all)

These new lipsticks from Milani are stellar...matte, satin, semi-sheer...you name it, Milani has it. The pigment is awesome. I love the reds, pinks, browns, and nudes. I often find these on sale at CVS so they're a real bargain. Seriously, if you did a blind test, Milani would be like applying a $40 lipstick. It's that good!

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Sexy Booster Bronzer
westside 4/24/2013 12:49:00 PM
I got these new PF "Sexy" bronzers during a half-off and coupon sale at CVS,and I'm glad I did! The "light bronzer" provides a soft, shimmery golden finish. The "bronzer" shade is deeper and tanner, more like a traditional bronzer color. The colors don't turn orange or muddy throughout the day. I would prefer it without the vanilla extract smell, but since it's not an irritant, I don't mind too much.

Lip Gloss -Avon - Totally Kissable Lip Gloss
westside 4/23/2013 3:52:00 PM
I am so impressed by these new lip glosses (and lipsticks of similar name) from Avon! I tried four shades which I liked all: mauve kiss, butter me up, plum bitten, and succulent fuchsia. They are some of the most moisturizing and buttery-textured glosses I've ever applied! I liked them better than Revlon, Loreal, Maybelline, and some other high-end products I've bought. They are generously packaged in these adorable tubes in the amount of 0.24 ounces. The glosses are on sale for $2.99; I think I will buy all 12+ shades :) at this rate.

I am so impressed by these new lipsticks from Avon! I tried just one shade: nude and naughty (just like the name implies ;), and it was one of the most moisturizing and buttery-textured lipsticks I've ever tried! I liked it better than Revlon, Loreal, Maybelline, and some other high-end products I've bought. The lippies were on sale for $4.99; I can't wait to try more!

Lotions/ Creams -Sebamed - Moisturizing Body Lotion
westside 4/23/2013 1:23:00 PM
I recently broke out with eczema all over my face, ears, neck, chest...you name it. I'm not sure if the cause was chlorine from the pool or bad detergent...anyway I used prescription creams and antibiotics, which I found didn't really work well. 10 days into treatment, though, I saw a big display of Sebamed at Costco. (I had tried their moisturizer when it was BOGOF at CVS). The vendor at Costco gave me a good deal and I walked out with (4) 1-Liter bottles of Sebamed products for $100. The face and body wash, shampoo, and body lotion have all REALLY helped relieve my eczema. I like the multi-use of the products, the lack of fragrance (though the face and body wash does have a bit too much of medicinal smell compared to other Sebamed products), and how clean and comfortable I feel afterwards. The body lotion is creamy enough for the the whole body, but I use it on my face too. While it may be a bit greasy, it settles into the skin pretty quickly. My new favorite product, though, is the shampoo! I get a thorough rinse that seems to last a lot longer than other hair products I've used. I also appreciate finding something that doesn't smell like everything else, you know, the flowers and peaches :) I am now a devoted Sebamed user and will shell out a few hundred dollars a year because the products work!

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
westside 4/17/2013 5:53:00 PM
I've been using this foundation faithfully since it came out in 2013...it's that good :) Medium beige is a good match for me; the foundation offers medium to full coverage and has a soft, matte finish. The pump bottle packaging is ideal and very practical. It was kind of expensive as CVS ($11.99), but I got if half-off with some coupons and a sale. I highly recommend this foundation!

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Bronzer SPF 30
westside 4/10/2013 5:59:00 PM
Another bronzer winner from PF! These are huge---0.42 ounces each. I got both the "light bronzer" and "bronzer" colors. I love the satiny-matte finish...it applies beautifully and warms up my light-to-medium skintone. My face does look like it's been airbrushed! I got these for half-off, $7, so no complaints about the sale price :)

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - How-To-Wear Bronzer
westside 4/10/2013 5:55:00 PM
These are brand-new bronzers from PF, my go-to bronzer brand. These bronzers are so finely milled and easy to apply. The "light bronzer" I use as an all-over finishing powder on my light-to-medium skintone because it warms up my skin. The regular bronzer color is about three shades darker and works well as a matte, satiny bronzer. I can't detect sparkles (which I wouldn't mind, anyway). The packaging is cute because it looks like a pocket-jean, but I don't know how durable it would be traveling. These run about $14, but with sales and coupons I usually get them for half-off.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster™ Glow & Mood Boosting Baked Bronzer
westside 3/13/2013 3:54:00 PM
Yes, this new bronzer is very cute and smells great, just like the other Happy Booster products. My skin is very light right now, and the bronzer doesn't show up that well at all. So, I just use it as a highlighter over peachy blushes and the effect is much better. As long as you don't expect this to be a traditional bronzer, but a highlighter with a soft, shimmery finish, it's actually very nice.

Powder -Physicians Formula - Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Powder
westside 2/19/2013 12:22:00 AM
I like this powder foundation BB! It has full coverage, so I had to apply with a lighter hand, compared to other powders I've tried. Medium to deep was too dark for my pale, wintry skin, so I went back and got light to medium, which is perfect. I actually like the white compact because it doesn't seem like there are many white compacts left anymore:) I got it for half off at CVS, so it was a good deal.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Airbrushing Bronzing Veil Deluxe Edition
westside 1/26/2013 3:33:00 PM
I was so excited to spot these new bronzers at Rite Aid. They retail $16, but with a sale and some coupons, they're almost half off. I got both the "light to medium" (a tan bronze shade) and "medium to dark" (a coppery bronze). These bronzers are huge (hence the deluxe in the name) and have a beautiful starburst like design. The finish isn't shimmery or matte, but "glow-like." They're both very pigmented and because my skin is so light now (due to the wintry season), I had to be careful about my application. I wished PF had also come up with a peach or even red-tone bronzer/blusher...otherwise, these new bronzers are a must-have!

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Physicians Formula Bronze Booster - Glow-Boosting Season-to-Season Bronzer
westside 4/3/2012 3:41:00 PM
All these PF bronzers' names are starting to sound the same, but I'm pretty sure this is a new product. http://www.drugstore.com/physicians-formula-bronze-booster-glow-boosting-season-to-season-bronzer-light-to-medium/qxp392581?catid=183546&fromsrch=physicians%20formula%20booster%20bronzer I bought both the light to medium and medium to dark shades at CVS. The lighter one gives more of a golden dusty shade, whereas the darker one looks more like your typical, tanner bronzer. I think the look of having all four different colors with the seasons labelled is an interesting concept. I just blend all four shades together! My only complaint is the smell...kind of old and overly powdery. I'm not sure if the product is defective, but the darn smell won't go away!

Blush -Nuance by Salma Hayek - FLAWLESS MINERAL CHEEK TRIO
westside 4/3/2012 3:35:00 PM
I'm so pleasantly surprised by this blush! I picked up Apricot 295 last week when CVS was having a really cool $6.99 sale plus extra bucks! I think this trio normally retails for $12 or more. With it, I get a generous amount of peach blush, a highlighter portion, and bronzer. I love it how all the sections are divided evenly so when I swipe them with my blush, I get a beautiful flush of all three shades. I'm pretty light-skinned right now, but I can layer to really deepen the color. The whole trio applies beautifully!
