Lipstick -Avon - Ultra Color Rich -Pout

On me, this is a nude pink with a peachy tone. Which just happens to be my absolute favourite colour for lipstick. I like that they can look good on a naturalface or with a funky or smokey e/s. I have very pigmented (sometimestje almost look purple!) and this covers that beautifully, but doesn't make me look dead :D I have over 20 Nude lipsticks (to give you an idea of what I like a few are mac cherish, honeylove, jubilee, etc) and this is my favourite. It isn't too matte or too sheer on me, and I'm sorry to hear other reviewers have had this problem ruining this beautiful l/s. My previous favourite was MAC jubilee, but I like this better and the pricing is just a bonus! I'm on my second tube, have tube 3 ready and will continue to repurchase. Very happy :)

Eyeliner -Collection 2000 - Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this before! I have been using this eyeliner for YEARS every day (in brown) and I think it's such a staple, I don't even notice it is there anymore. Easiest liquid eyeliner I have ever used, and TBH, the product that made me realise that liquid isn't hard to use. I have bought other liquid eyeliners, from Avon to Lancome and many in between and I don't know why really, as this gives me the best, smoothest result without faffing around! A real bonus, considering it's also the cheapest I have used at only £2.99 a pop! The brown shade is perfect - no one would notice that it isn't black, but without the harshness that black can give me these days! PERFECT!

Palettes -Sleek - Storm Palette

I bought this after a recommendation by my niece, and I am so glad I did! Highly pigmented, great colours, and lasts really well. It's also a nice slim palette with a HUGE mirror, so I have taken to carrying this around instead of my usual selection of MAC shadows. For £5, you can't really go wrong!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Light SPF10

EDIT: much as I loved this, my skin isn't great and I have gone back to regular DW. Iknow it can be drying, bit it's worth it for the staying power and coverage. I moisturise and prepare, then I'm careful with application around the eye area. Have used DoubleWear for YEARS, but I always wanted something that had that same amazing wearability but without the sometimes heavy/powdery look - I have bought (and mostly returned or given away) soooo many others including Shiseido, Chanel, YSL, Revlon, Lancome, Avon, MAC, Clinique etc .etc. looking for that close to DW but not quite so obvious....and here, EL have come up with it anyway!! I LOVE this. I got exactly what I have always wanted. I foundation that still covers well (it's marketed as light-medium buildable but covers redness/scars as well as the original), that this time doesn't settle into fine lines or make me look drier and older, that gives that perfect look, but that LASTS (and it really does!!). Also the colour match for me is better than my original - I understand that this might not be the same for everyone with only 6 "intensities" to choose from, but as a normal near Ivory Beige/NC30/YSL6 (if you want other comparisons from other makes, let me know) the shade 3 is perfect - slightly lighter or at least less orange than Ivory Beige. I am so pleased with this, and have had compliments on the good skin, which is always a bonus! Basically, I could have shortened this with just writing HG, but I wanted to go in to why....so basically......BUY IT!!!!! :D Happy foundation wearing everyone! xx

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide on eyeliner in bourbon

I recently found this whilst on a browse only session and had to purchase and I am so pleased that I did!! A gorgeous sparkling brown, which is similar to, but gives that little bit more definition than MAC Teddy (my old favourite). Love it.

Concealers -Yves Saint Laurent - Anti-Cernes Multi Action Concealer #1
rated 5 of 5
wendy77 7/16/2007 10:13:00 AM

I use shade #2 rather than #1. This is my favourite concealer. It is creamy, has good coverage for redness / spots and for darkness around the eye area, it doesn't settle into lines, lasts nicely and has beautiful packaging. However, the shade range isn't great (there are only 3!) I know that I am lucky to find a shade that suits me so well.

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
rated 4 of 5

The best under-eye brightener I have used. On my 5th one now, and I have given all my others away, as they were nothing compared to this. I don't expect it to conceal my terrible under-eye circles, as it is not truly a concealer, but for brightening/highlighting it does it's job excellently and makes me look so much fresher.

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Mascara
rated 4 of 5
wendy77 7/16/2007 9:58:00 AM

This is a really good mascara, if you don't like the fact the YSL false lash dries out so fast for the cost. It gives great thick lashes and it comes in a nice 2nd, but I won't repurchase due to the fact that I am in love with another :)

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

On my 3rd or 4th. I love this. I have tried to but other blushers which are similar (Bourjois, Urban Decay, Chanel being the best alternatives) but this is the best. Beautiful pinky/peach with gold shimmer that makes me look alive. My sister loved it so much she got one - then her mil loved it so much she got it too!

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
rated 5 of 5

**HG!** This mascara is beautiful. I have used it ever since it came out. I still buy new hyped up mascaras when they come out, but they all fail compared to this. It gives me the lashes I want and due to the lovely fragrance and packaging, it makes me feel good to do it! If you are looking for a high volume high drama effect, there is nothing as good as this. I do think that mascara can vary very much form person to person, so at least for me, this is THE ONE! It does dry out too fast for the price, but it is still worth it imo. If you really really can't afford this one, then MAX factor 200calorie or Rimmel Volume flash are the next best and don't dry out as fast - but you wont get that "wow!" factor that this will give

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear (old formula)
rated 5 of 5
wendy77 7/16/2007 9:40:00 AM

I always go back to this, and have done for years!! It's the only foundation that really stays put on my skin. I have tried so many foundations, but this is still my favourite despite the colour choice being rather lacking - I am somewhere between Fresco and Ivory Beige and currently have 3 different bottles (Fresco, Ivory Beige and a home mix of the 2!) which I alternate between depending on my colouring (NC25/30). If you are looking for a longwearing foundation, then tbh, I wouldn't bother looking elsewhere! Like a few others in here, I use a MAC pump. EDIT: I've had a couple of years away from this, trying Guerlain parure extreme (3), Armani lasting(6.5 I think??), revlon c/s (warm golden) and MAC prolongwear (nc30) (which I admit to really liking and keeping as a number 2) - amongst others! - and I've just come back to it again. I really don't have the time to touch up my face these days (SAHM) and this is face confidence in a bottle - in that I put it on (no nerd for concealer) at 7am and it's still there when Ive put the kids to bed over 12 hours later. I admit it can be ageing around the eye if Im not careful, so I'm careful, as it's worth it. Back up to 5 lippies.

Moisturizers -Avon - Retroactive+ Repair Cream
rated 5 of 5
wendy77 7/16/2007 9:33:00 AM

Loving this!! Thanks to the reviews on here I bought this a few weeks ago and I am so pleased - finally a moisturiser that smoothes, soothes and moisturises but doesn't make me break out!! My skin is looking better every day. This is a nightcreme, but I have been using this day (under EL Doublewear) and night and it's lovely to wake up with no new spots and smooth skin.
