Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm

I don't know if a lip balm with peppermint oil is a good thing or not, but I like this one. It's not my favorite, but I find it pretty moisturizing and I love the tingly feeling. I do find I apply it often, but I apply any lippie often. I'm addicted :-P It's thick but not waxy, and not sticky. I think it's almost the perfect consistency (perfect being their pomegranite one). For what it's worth my boyfriend hates mint but loves it when I wear this balm :-)

Polishes -OPI - Nail Polishes

I had read about OPI on MUA and seen it in countless side-ads in magazines, but never had the pleasure of working with it until I got a professional pedicure and they used one on me... Polish never stays on me for long. Ever. But it was several weeks before the polish even *started* chipping, and I was sad to finally have to remove it. So what do I do? I bought more! Yay! It applies nicely and the pro-wide brush is awesome. But my favorite quality is just that. The quality. This polish stays forEVER and looks fantastic doing it. They have all sorts of beautiful shades and I just got Personal Jet in the mail. Can't wait to try it! Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite fragrances... I'm bummed that I can't find my bottle after moving! I love the notes, though I had to take off a lippie because it didn't last too long. But that could be my body chemistry! Who knows? I called up the customer service line and told them I was planning a wedding and looking for attendant gifts, and thought this fragrance would be nice, but could they send me some samples so I could get an idea if my girls liked it before I bought them each a bottle? Boom. A week later I had 8 samples. Awesome! Even the sample was so much it could be used repeatedly. It wasn't a towelette, or a pad like some samples. Nope. This was a blister-type pack of what looked like a mini version of the bottle on a foil background. Adorable! If I can't find my full-size bottle (which, in and of itself is adorable!) I will buy again!

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - WetSlicks Amazemint

I love this lippie! I have one and I can't remember which shade it is but I decided to try it when I heard about it on Top Model. I'm such a consumer whore LOL I LOVE this! It goes on nicely and has a nice subtle color to it with a sheen but not too glossy, and is a wee bit tingly on the lips, and makes me confident enough to get closer to people. I will definitely keep getting these as long as they make them! :-)

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Moisturizing Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap

I don't usually use soap but this is an exception. I find soap too drying so when I found this I was excited to try it. It's in my favorite scent (big bonus!) and from B&BW which is an auto point-gainer. It's great! Leaves my hands smelling yummy for a while and doesn't dry my hands out. It's the only soap I use :-D

Eye Primer -L'Oreal - De-crease Eyeshadow base

I normally don't plagarize but word for word, Hoverfly put it PERFECTLY. I will, thusly, quote her, giving her full credit because it's exactly what I would have said, but she put it how I'm not sure I could have: "This product is inexpensive and keeps shadow in place somewhat well. However, by the end of the workday, I still tend to have shadow snakes in the creases of my eyelids. It's better than no product at all (and better than layering shadow over foundation) and it's inexpensive--but it just didn't last long enough. I also avoid the inner ends of my shadow area as that area is slightly more puffy and wrinkled. If I accidentally get any shadow into this area after applying the De-crease product, I can't get it off and it really highlights my flaws. Sparkly shadows in this area just make me look old by highlighting all of my baby-wrinkles." All in all, I do love the shape of the container and it makes things lasta wee bit longer so I would buy again. Unless I got something better in a swap haha

Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Minerals
rated 3 of 5

I've tried this and the blush and have the same comments on both: The brush is a freaking joke. I gave up on it the first time I used it. The damn thing HURT! So I use my own foundation brush and it's OK And if you want to dip, swirl and tap (or whatever BE says but it works for every loose powder!) there's no place to do it included in the packaging. But say you do finally get it on your face... it feels really weird. Granted, I'm not fully used to loose powder foundation yet, but... it's just weird. I dunno, kinda icky. It was powder but felt kinda damp on my face throughout the day, whether I'd used moisturizer or not. But I love the loose powder concept which is why it got 3 lippies. It did even out my skin tone some, but CG TruBlends does so better, and with room to tap off the extra.

I like these... I have several colors in individual pots. I use the flesh colored one as a base. I don't know if it's only the shades I had but they didn't react well to being applied wet. But for a good simple base or something to toss in my weekend bag, they're it!

I don't really use this for my lips, actually. I have about 75 lippies for that. But I love the smell of this and it hydrates really well. In fact, I've used it on cracked nostrils for a flu, and even wound care. This stuff is great!

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Smackers
rated 5 of 5
wendy645 2/19/2009 6:27:00 PM

I own approximately 30 different Lip Smackers. No joke. I love the fact that they hydrate my lips better than I ever expected. They all add a tiny bit of sheen and color and are great to keep everywhere. Something I love is that they have basic flavors and also interesting ones (Dr. Pepper! Cherry Vanilla Coke! Berry Peach!) and they're dirt cheap, so you can have one for every mood! :-)

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash
rated 3 of 5

I like the green tube, but the wand is really weird. I don't cate for it much. The mascara itself is pretty good, though I always prefer a waterproof mascara. It didn't have the longest staying power, but it was pretty nice.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Love Spell
rated 4 of 5
wendy645 2/19/2009 6:14:00 PM

I love the smell of this stuff! I only wish it lasted longer, which is why it only got 4 lippies. The other problem I have is that every girl and her sister/mother/friend/cousin/roommate wears it, so I skip out on it more often than not so I don't smell like everyone else. I do, however, LOVE putting it in my hair because the smell of it with my shampoo is amazing and wafts about every time I move my head :-)

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Discovery Mascara
rated 3 of 5
wendy645 2/19/2009 5:42:00 PM

What I like: --> The tiny brush really helps get the teeeny lashes that make a huge difference in a look --> it gives a natural look (no spider-legs here!) What I don't like: --> The tube feels weird in my hand, and I don't like it. --> my lashes felt dry after applying, and gave me that familiar tightness/sting I don't like. One of the many mascaras I've tried and moved on from. But not too bad. I keep it in my train case, so that's something.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Dr. Pepper lipsmackers
rated 5 of 5
wendy645 2/19/2009 5:38:00 PM

This has been a staple of mine since 4th grade... and I'm 25! :-) I love the printing on the tube, and the fact that they made it glittery (the tube, not the balm) only adds to its appeal in my eyes! The color itself is subtle, the smell is devine and it even tastes decent! Stays on a good deal of time and will always and forever be a staple in my lippie arsenal!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
rated 4 of 5
wendy645 2/19/2009 5:34:00 PM

I go through different mascaras like water, so this was only one of many I've tried, used for a while, and forgot about. I kept it longer than I usually do, though, which is saying something. It had a longer-than-usual rotation in my makeup bag. I like the tube, it's pretty. And it was my first rubber-brushed mascara. I like it! It went on nicely and stayed for a decent amount of time. It didn't give me crazy dramatic lashes, but that wasn't was I was looking for! Rather, they emphasized my naturally long curly lashes and looked like an extra oomph onto nature. :-)
