I have this in Champagne colour which was matched to me. i hate liquid foundations and don't have much luck with mineral powders due to lack of coverage and staying power! I tried this and fell in love with the coverage and natural colour everything i've been looking for " Forward 2 hours" I felt like i'd been sunburnt on my face, my skin felt dry and tight like i'd over sunned myself all day. i began to rub E45 cream in at first just around my hairline and nose ( where the sting was more prominent) after i washed this product off my face felt so dry ( which isn't normal for oily skin) I cleansed, tonned and moisturised as normal but still my face was left so dry and stinging for 2 hours after. I reapplied more moisturiser which didn't have any affect. I then slapped on E45 cream which helped a little. I'd never buy this product again i think I may have had a reaction to the ingredients though! Be warned my symptoms didn't start until 2 hours after applying this product both times so don't be fooled whilst having it put on by a SA. If it doesn't sting your skin and dry it out it's a fab product. I'm truely sad it didn't work for me. if anyone knows of a similar product that stops shiny faces but doesn't over dry or sting let me know x

I used this product for the 1st time yesterday. It left my hair feeling quite sticky, coated. I did use a treatment for the 1st time too, so that may be the problem. i was told at the salon it lasts up to 5 day's so u don't need to apply every time you wash. however, this is not on the website. they may be told to tell us this as you don't get much for the price which may put customers off, and this is their way of making the product seem a bargain!!!! i don't like the fact that after i wash my hair again i don't need to use the product, I feel i'm ironing my hair with no protection (that scares me) but i've been told i don't need to use it every time i wash my locks... I think i prefer redken heat glide as i can use it every time on wet and dry hair so b4 i blowdry ( it doesn't say you can use this product on dry hair befre you iron), and before i straighten, it also doesn't leave a coated, sticky feeling on my hair. i'll update in a few day's

At first i thought this conditioner was really good for the price, and moisturised well. However, after continued use my hair went very very dry. i seem to get this with all drug store conditoners i have used. They r good at first and then dry your hair out. i now stick to salon products as they tend not to do this as much.

Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner

I bought this as i was attracted to the pretty colour of the packaging! I also wanted to try a brand that wasn't fom the salon, just to see if I was wasting my money. I tried both, shampoo and conditioner. The smell was lovely. However, the results were rubbish. It left my hair dry and brittle, My hair was snapping at the ends after one wash. it didn't feel moisturising enough at all. I'm sticking to salon brands, their worth the extra cost. If i used this more than once i don't wanna think of the condition my locks would end up in. Don't waste your money if you have chemically teated hair, it's not up to the job - maybe good for normal hair, my friend loves it!

Styling Products -TiGi - Catwalk Fashionista Smooth and Shine Heat and Iron Safe [DISCONTINUED]

This product i use on towel dried hair and then again before straightening to protect from heat. It's really light so doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. However, the last 2 bottles i've had had lasted me a while and i noticed, along with my partner a strange fishy smell. i opened the bottle on both occasions and it stank of fish. my partner thought it had gone off as it takes a long time to use up. but i'd only had this bottle 2 weeks which was a replacement for the old smelly one. i could not put this stinky stuff in my hair. i now use redken smooth down which is heavier, but used sparingly it's fine. I am going to try kerastase ciment thermique next. i have to say i have had no luck with kerastase products but this has good reviews and i have a voucher too

Conditioner -Redken - All Soft Conditioner
wellymacky 11/11/2007 5:48:00 PM
This product is the best I have found. Better than kerastase, paul mitchell, mop. Let my hair feeling like silk, light, not weighed down, it had volume and body and de tangled. However, when I went to re purchase this lovely stuff, I was given the new version with silk luxe!! i tried it expectin the same results, if not, better. This stuff made my hair dry, crispy feeling, tangled and worst of all, weighed down, it had no body or volume, just limp. I was so upset that i'd found the best conditioner for my hair and it only lasted one bottle. if you agree, write or email redken and try and get the original formula back.

i was given this free as a hairdresser destroyed my 6 years of perfectly normal highlights in 2 hours!! she blamed that the damage to my hair was not the fact that she'd bleached over previous bleach and left it on for 2 hours!! ( never in my life have i been in a salon for highlights and 4 hours later, my partner worried where i was. calling me. i was still in the chair) she blamed the fact i was chewing gum and it was the chemicals in gum that caused this bleached hair to fall out! ( total nut job this woman) anyway, went home in tears with this product to try and mend the damage. absolute rubbish i couldn't comb my hair through when i got out the shower and when i managed to dry it it felt terrible knotty, sticky like hairspay. never ever using again, it also snapped my hair off using along with extreme redken ( only ment to be used for max of 4 weeks ( doesn't say that on bottle) hair snapped off from almost waist length to 5 inches from the root!!!

I found this product way to light for my hair. i'd wash, dry, straighten. as soon as i'd step outside the door and the wind blew my hair, it would just kink and never stay straight. it's the only condish i've had that problem with. my hair just had no weight to it at all, therefore was always out of control. maybe should have tried the treatment and seen if this was heavier. i don't mean heavy as in weigh hair down so it's greasy and flat but to have some hold when just styled. didn't find it very moisturising though i have to say

Hair -Kerastase - Ciment Anti-Usure
wellymacky 11/6/2007 4:48:00 PM
This made my hair so soft it just "hung" flat to my head, was un stylable, had no body or volume. my hair looked like it was greasy the way it hung so flat and limp. it makes your hair so soft, which is great but it just cannot be styled. my grown out fringe is parted in the middle, when i use this product it will not stay parted but just hangs over my face so i cannot see. it looks a mess, will not style as hair is so fine and soft and look flat and limp. won't buy again. good for making hair baby soft so u can do nothing with it. i may use to soften and then wear hair all pinned back!!

Mascara -Rimmel - Extra Super Lash mascara
wellymacky 11/3/2007 12:03:00 AM
brilliant product loads of comments cheaper than max factor 2000 calorie but only started wearing max factor again recently but when i first started wearing rimmel i would say i got the same ammount of comments every day for 3 weeks. things like are they real, what mascara do u use ,are you wearing false lashes. either are brilliant but comments die down after a while as people naturally won't comment about the same thing evry time they see you. nice to get compliment though

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Mascara
wellymacky 11/2/2007 11:58:00 PM
I use to wear this every day, then found a cheaper version rimmel extra super lash with same results. however i'm on holiday and they do not do rimmel over here. so, after years i went back to max factor 2000 calorie. no word of a lie every day for 3 weeks without fail i had at least one comment sometimes 3 in one day commenting on if i had false lashes and were they really mine, what mascara do u use etc. this brought back memories of when i use to wear it years a go too. i got comments with rimmel extra super lash but not as many as when wearing this in such a short ammount of time. for me this sold it high price or not. rimmel if great too and cheaper. i'd use either as got alot of comments when wearing both however, i noticed i got alot more with maxfactor in a shorter space of time. where as rimmel i had worn for years and i gues the same ppl aren't gonna comment again and again worth the money if u like compliments every day!

Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
wellymacky 11/2/2007 11:49:00 PM
I bought this product as i had used the same powder, and hated it for years rimmel stay matte and it was time for a change. i went to the local beauty outlet who plastered my face with a foundation ( even tho i asked for a powder) because the lady applying it loved it. i looked in the mirror and looked like casper the ghost!! she's applied such a light colour i looked ill. immediately i said no i don't think this is what i'm loking for colour wise. i explained, again, that i wanted a powder as i don't like caking makeup all over my face as it's so un natural, unless i'm going somewhere v important or out in evening( i think she took immediate offense as her makeup looked so orange and caked on it was about to crack! i later learnt that to work in this store they make you wear alot of product as advertising). eventually she took me to the l'oreal section as apparently they specialise in makeup!! i explained tht i have a pink complexion and wanted a more yellow tone to try to hide this. she tried the w3 on and said try it throughout the day and see how it goes which i must admit, i thought was nice of her not trying the hard sale. must say i had reminance of foundation on my skin and it did appear to have alot more of a thicker coverage then when i bought it and applied it onto freshly cleaned skin. I am v happy with the colour and coverage. my last powder hid nothing and was so pale too. this hides rose colour well. my skin get's greasy and i find if you apply more powder onto greay skin it can go orange. just wipe excess oil with tissue b4 pplying powder and this problem is solved it only can look a bit greasy after 7 hours so pretty good.

Conditioner -Kerastase - Nutridefense
wellymacky 11/2/2007 11:35:00 PM
This is probably the most expensive conditioner i have ever bought. i only ever use salon products because my hair is highlighted and wanted to keep them lookin nice. my hair was destroyed whilst on holiday after 6 years of perfectly normal highlights a hairdresser in N.Z totally destroyed my waist length hair. ( they are the worst hairdressers i have ever come across. There is also some kind of law protecting them so you can't complain or sue them if the ruin your hair!!) should have read the warning signs with that! anyway they talked me into buying a pot of this which cost me $56 NZD or £20GBP. I thought, for the price this stuff would work.however, i had previously bought a shampoo and conditioner in the kerastase range and was not happy with results, though it wasn't as expensive as this. i used this stuff and almost cried at the result and my wasted money. i cannot belive something so expensive could not deliver fantastic results. absolutely gutted. i thought if i continue using it the results will build up slowly. no! just goes to show the more expensive brands don't work for everyone. i'm still looking for a great set. everything after long use either makes my scalp sore or dry's my hair out. gonna try redken all soft next and use paul mitchell instnt moisture conditioner as a treatment as it's a good product used once a week ,to seal split ends and make hair healthy. used daily makes scalp sore but this may b the shampoo not condish.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Instant Moisture Daily Shampoo

This product is terrible. i think it's really too harsh for me. it gives me such a sore scalp if i use it more than once. not sure if it's the shampoo or conditioner. love the conditioner as it makes my hair strong, healthy and makes split ends vanish. maybe i'll try with a different gentle shampoo and see how i get on.
