Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

I have been using MAC Studio Fix Pressed Powder for a couple of years now. It was one of the better powders I have experimented with, yet not my favourite. PROS: - Stays on a majority of the day (sometimes you need to touch up) - Did not break me out - When I placed in on my eyelids it set my eyeshadow perfectly, and would keep my eyeshadow on throughout the day without bunching up in the creases. CONS: - The first colour I used was N4. I felt like this shade made me look paler than I was so I went a shade darker - N5. N5 was a lot darker then my skin colour so I didn't put on as much. When I used N5 by the time I came home my face had an orange tint to it. So I dicontinued its use. MAC does have a lot of colours available in their makeup so a majority of people can find their colour. Sadly, I was not one of these people :( If only they had a N4.5 ... - Cost about $30. Not ideal, but I will pay a lot for a product that works. MAC did work, they just didn't have my colour. Also, the powder should last about 2-3 months, so I guess the price isn't so bad.

Styling Products -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Penetrating Oil

I recently purchased this product for $8 at Wal-Mart due to the positive reviews I have read on MakupAlley.com. I decided to give this product a try, since I have naturally uncontrollable frizzy curls. I have wasted so much money on hair products, that end up not working, it is unbelieveable. However, I am so pleased with the Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Penetrating Oil. It is literally the only product I need to use in my hair now. Whereas before I would spend like 20 minutes putting on mousse, gel, cream, and spray. I personally think I use a lot of this product specifically to eliminate frizz, and it works! Some people say that using a lot makes your hair look greasy but it doesn't. I put most of the oil on my ends, and only a bit at the roots. I left my hair to air dry and it look like I just came out of the hair salon! This product also leaves my hair SOFT and SILKY and AMAZING. I am definitley going to buy this product again!

Treatments -Clarins - Face Treatment Oil - Lotus
waszakst 11/16/2011 10:27:00 AM
I have been suffering from acne for about a year now, and Clarins is the first line I used to treat my oily skin. I was recommended four products: - Clarins Cleansing Milk w/ Gentian - Alcohol-Free Toning Lotion w/ Iris - Ultra-Matte Rebalancing Lotion - Lotus Face Treatment Oil I was told to cleanse and tone my face 2-3 times daily, and to use the lotion in the morning (before makeup application) and the oil every night before bed. When I first developed acne, it was not as bad as it is now. I only had a few big pimples and my face was a lot better about 2 months after using these products. However, I discontinued using them because the Clarins line is super expensive. The Lotus Oil itself cost $50+tax for 40mL. I was told to use only a little bit of oil each night ("less is more"), I understood this but a few week in I used a lot more and ran out of the oil in about 2 months (I was told it should last about 4-5 months). So I thought I would switch onto Clearasil but when that didn't work I went on Proactiv (which BURNED my skin and made my acne worse after I discontinued use). After the Proactiv disaster I was perscribed Clindasol (I think that's how you spell it) but it didn't do much. I then went onto Vichy Normaderm which did help at first, but in the long run made my acne so much worse. Then I went onto Bioderma which was supposed to make the acne worse before better, but I gave up. I still had some Clarins Cleanser, Toner and Lotion left so I went back onto Clarins. I bought more Lotus Oil as well. What I like about the Lotus Oil is that when I apply it at night before bed, I wake up with the softest skin which I love. I've only been back on Clarins for a week and a half but so far no noticeable improvements (which is to be expected). I am planning on using this product even after the acne I currently have clears. Mainly because the Clarins line is the closest thing I have had to a miracle product. I encourage those of you with acne prone skin to purchase this product. Though it is expensive, it works! Also, the products are in no way chemically treated. It is all natural remedies which is part of the reason I went back on it - NO MORE CHEMICALS FOR ME. As for the: CLEANSING MILK: I personally prefer gel or foam cleansers, however when this milk is applied properly, it is to somewhat "suction" the dead skin cells off your face. TONING LOTION: When used directly after the Cleansing Milk, the toning lotion is supposed to wipe off the excess oil and dead skin cells collected by the cleansing milk. REBALANCING LOTION: Not my favourite day lotion, but one of the better ones. It smells amazing, but I would reccomend Vichy Normaderm Ultra-Mattifying Lotion. It is the perfect cream to wear under makeup.
