Gosh, I hate to be the odd man out so to speak, but I purchased this with the shea butter on-line after so many rave reviews and I am SO not impressed. Here's why...I wanted this for a facial wash after having problems with dryness and bumpy skin after using several different products. The first time I used this on my face, it stung and left my face very tight and dry which surprised me considering the addition of shea. Same thing on the body; no emollient properties whatsoever. All this considered, the thing that put me off the most was the smell...OVERWHELMING and reminded me of an old fashion barber shop filled with oily haired, over cologned with cheap after shave old men...I just could not get over the smell...in fact, I had to shower again just so I could sleep as the noxious odor kept me awake. More power to those who like this stuff, but for me it's a major NO GO...

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]

I SO agree with Goldenstar. I went to Macys to buy my 4th tube of my once HG Shiseido lash primer and the sales gal told me they changed the formula and wand. They didn't have any of the old formulation left so I bought the new one and it is PATHETIC! It's thin and watery, the wand does nothing to deposit the product and I get no lengthening, thickening, NOTHING! Shiseido, what were you thinking??? Now I am forced to find a new HG lash primer...any suggestions?

How to explain a frag that is all things wonderful?...spicy, yet clean, slightly sweet, yet fresh...slight incense, yet not... foody?...no, not really, although it certainly makes me hungry for more. I am slightly reminded of Donna Karen Black, but only due to the initial spice, however the fresh component on this puts me over the edge with delight...I am smitten...

I guess I'm in the minority here. This frag is uninspired and completely forgettable. I get gardenia and coconut. Totally mundane and frankly, quite cloying and annoying. How many fragrances have I smelled with this same, boring composition...if I'm tempted to delve into my stash of "tropical" delights (I'm a Hawaii native), I'll gravitate towards Kai, Child or even Moynette...this one will never even register on my radar...ho hum and overpriced to boot...to give Bond kudos though, Chinatown is amazing....good try, but no buy on this one...

While I'm not as eloquent as other reviewers in describing fragrance, I can only say that as a critic of many touted fragrances, this one knocks my socks off. Peppery, clean, sultry, fresh...perfection to the extreme. I find myself reaching for this time and time again whether I'm wearing jeans or cashmere; it's just that good. I have never received as many compliments as I get when I wear this stunning fragrance. Never overpowers yet completely unforgettable...if only I weren't so fickle, this would be my HG of all perfume...
