Self Tanners -Fake Bake - flawless self tan liquid

I love this product -- best self-tanner I have used. Don't be put off by the occasional negative review by a newbie to self-tanners. I have used a number of the self-tanners but this is the first that gave me noticeable, exceptionally natural color. My skin is medium and I tan very easily. Many of the self-tanners seem too golden or too brown. This one is perfect color, especially on my face -- which looks amazingly like a real tan. I really like the mitt application -- it makes it easy to achieve streak-less coverage and makes application fast. The only thing I wish the product would change is the information sheet. Rather than say, exfoliate before applying, the insert pushes needless Fake Bake products -- all unnecessary, just use your normal exfoliator, moisturizer, etc. I'm a believer!

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation

I really like this foundation. It evens out my skin tone nicely and doesn't look as though you are wearing foundation, my two most important qualities that I look for in a foundation. It doesn't sparkle or shine, either, which I like. Looks very natural while blurring minor imperfections. Very good staying power. Not matte, not too dewy or luminous. If you want luminous, try Giorgio Armani, which I like but lately have been feeling makes my skin too shiny. MUFE Face and Body doesn't look cake-y or settle into my fine lines or pores, either. Definitely recommend.

Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth - Gentle Foaming Cleanser

I love this cleanser. I have normal skin with slightly oily T-zone broke to breakouts. This really works for me. It's very gentle and feels soft and slightly creamy. Washes off nicely. Doesn't dry my skin or make it oily. Just soft. I ran out of this twice and had to use other products before I had time to make it to Sephora to repurchase -- both time, my skin looked and felt worse with other cleansers. Highly recommend. No fragrance, which I love.

I really like this product. Have used it for about 5 months and repurchased twice. Will keep using it. It reduces my age spots and improves my skin texture, evens out my skin tone. I tried going off of it after the second bottle ran out but, to my chagrin, my skin really looked worse. Now I am back on it and hoping to get the glowing skin that many folks commented on when I was using it regularly. I pair it with the Unwrinkle Night Moisurizer and my skin never looked better (well, at least never better in the last 10 years!). Definitely recommend. Doesn't cause breakouts.

I typically react poorly to retinol products but decided to try PC's version b/c the reviews said it didn't bother some people who also had sensitivity to retinol. Unfortunately, this formulation also caused me to break out and my skin to look worse. If you are sensitive to retinol, this product won't change that.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice - RESIST- Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser

At first I liked this cleanser. I have sensitive skin prone to the rare breakout. It feels luxurious and soft but unfortunately it has caused multiple breakouts in the 3 weeks I have used it, after nearly a year of hardly any. I'm going back to Peter Thomas Roth's Gentle Cleanser. It also feels soft but is lighter in texture.

Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer

Buy this. It's the best moisturizer I have ever used -- and I have tried many expensive brands. It feels incredibly silky and keeps my skin really soft. Nearly every moisturizer I have used makes my sensitive skin break out. I have been prone to oiliness but that has subsided and now I am normal-slightly dry. This actually makes my skin feel great -- it's soothing and sinks right in -- kind of hard to explain, but it feels fantastic not to have to worry about breaking out or making my face look like an oil slick. I use this with Skinceuticals CE Feurilc (sp?) in the a.m. and by itself in the p.m. and I wake up with silky soft skin.

Treatments -Peter Thomas Roth - Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads

I love this product! I use the peel pads every other day and after 3 weeks, my skin looked radiant and smooth. A subtle glow. I spent too much time in the sun this summer without sunscreen and skipped moisturizers and wound up with very rough and uneven skin as a result. A couple of years ago I used PTR's 12% glycolic hydrating gel and it worked wonders on my skin -- lots of folks asked what I was using. This time, I tried Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads, based on comments I read here. The combination of alpha, beta, and gamma acids did a great job of smoothing the roughness away, evening my skin tone, and minimizing my pores. I have to say, my skin looks so much better than it did 10 years ago. I noticed an improvement within a few times of use but after 3 weeks, I am even more pleased. And it doesn't make me break out or dry out my skin.
