Polishes -Illamasqua - Venous

This polish is a mid-tone teal polish - not bright, not leaning blue, not garish. The description is bold blue green but i find it not too "bold". It would work on most skin tones. I picked this up on a whim at Sephora and it makes me want to buy more Illamasqua polishes. It is the only polish I've ever owned that goes opaque in one coat with no need for a second. It's thick but goes on smoothly and the brush is amazing - perfectly wide and this makes application simple. It lasts through a LOT of wear and tear (using poshe as a top coat) and on me lasted one very rough travel in a snowstorm lugging a suitcase down montreal side streets kind of week. C$18 and worth it.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Convertible Eye Color

I have the grey one. I like the packaging, it's cool in three parts. It applies easily and the colour is nice - a true grey. Unfortunately the staying power, even with primer, is terrible. It doesn't last at all. Picked this up at Winners for about $8, I'd not have liked to pay full price for it.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher Water Resistant

I normally use definicils, but on a recent trip I forgot mascara and hit Walgreens for a cheap replacement. I picked up this on a whim, because it was on sale. The wand is amazing - rubbery and drags the mascara through lashes to prevent clumps. I got the blackest black shade.' It lasts all day with no flaking and no racoon eyes and truly lengthens and thickens. I love it and will repurchase for sure. And, despite it being water resistant, my cleansing oil takes care of it easily, as does foaming cleanser.

Masks -Rodial - 5 Minute Facial

I ordered this even though it had no reviews figuring I'd take one for the team. It comes in a slick silver tube,and the consistency is like toothpaste. Slather on a thin layer, wait 5 minutes, then when dry start rubbing it off over a sink to exfoliate, and then rinse the remaining residue with water. No real smell, often doesn't dry in 5 minutes, and I'm not too sure the results are worth the price. I do notice my skin is a bit smoother directly after this but the effect doesn't last. There are better products (e.g. muac mandelic peel) for exfoliation that are cheaper. And, it doesn't touch blackheads the same way the aztec indian clay mask or QHMJM does. It's a fun and quick beauty treatment but not a necessary product. Fragrances -Nuxe - Prodigieux le parfum

This is the perfect suntan oil scent a la copper tone. but more complex. It smells close to the oil version but is, again, more complex. This scent is very powerful and lasts a very very long time. I am wearing this in the Fall season and loving it for it's warmth. The review prior to mine does an excellent job in explaining the notes, etc and so I will not repeat...but I do think this is a wonderful addition to any collection and I'm not aware of any other scents like it.

Got this as a freebie (full size) and used it twice a day over 2 months. I don't find it moisturizing and I do believe my eyes look more crepey and wrinkled than before. Nothing special and I wouldn't repurchase this. The only redeeming quality is that it sinks in well and makeup goes over it well - no running or bleeding.

Fantastic. These aren;'t in Canada yet but I dipped down into the states to pick up a couple. This is an awesome sheer red that lasts and lasts. They are a lot like the tarte product but I think these are better: better packaging by far. I got this colour and honey and both are winners. Once they're in Canada I'll pick up more and buy a couple of back-ups of Romantic.

Shampoo -Red Flower - Ocean Cleansing Hair Wash

The scent is very unique, like a floral gingerale. I did not find that it lingered at all. The shampoo doesn't lather well and you need a lot to clean your hair. And, I am finding it's making my scalp flaky. For the price, I'd look elsewhere.

This is for the tulsi-neem soap: there are a few different formulations and some of the reviews below cover some of the other ones. I love the scent, the price is cheap (i get it on iherb). I use it a facial soap currently.

Ok. I saw this online and it's not in canada right now, so during my recent trip to chicago, I went to 5 different walgreens and finally found it. It's gorgeous, wears well, applies nicely, and I get compliments on it - I never get compliments on anything, haha. Mid-tone grey, slight blue undertones, no shimmer/sparkle. Love.

I like this masque but do not think it's more special than the queen helene masque. The packaging is terrible: a hard-walled "squeeze" tube that makes sure you will never be able to use more than 80% of the product without significant effort. I wouldn't repurchase because QHMJM is much cheaper, and I dislike the packaging of this product. It does work as a clay mask does.

Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer in 7 Pink

I have yellow-based skin with big pores and minor discolourations and this really does "microperfect" my skin. I use MUFE face and body foundation over it. I use HD foundation in 119 (probably NC20) and this gives a nice glow. I want to try the other shades, but why fix what ain't broke. Will repurchase.

Deodorants -Lavanila - The Healthy Deodorant

This is just awful. I put it on in the morning and by about 3pm, I smell worse than if I had put no deodorant on at all. Obviously my chemistry reacts with this somehow, and since it was $$$ I'm disappointed. Yuck. Don't risk it.
