This is my absolute favourite HG everyday lipstick! My best friend was wearing it and looked great in it and I asked to try it and fell in love. She bought it for me as well! <3 It is good all year round for her lovely Malay skin and my Chinese sometimes-tanned-sometimes-pale skin. Lovely coral pink colour. More coral than Fan Fare. Moisturizing and lasting.

Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA
rated 5 of 5

Overall: Good for contouring and correcting foundation that is too light for you. Having used E. L. F. Cool Bronzer, I really liked the bottom left colour and was looking for a product that just had that colour. Hoola is really close to it, and I love it! I use it to contour my cheeks and jawline! Have to blend it really well so it looks natural, but it is pigmented and if you wear foundation it blends well. Love that it is matte, no shimmer in it so it is best for contouring. Also, I am Chinese from SEA living in UK so need to deal with being really warm tanned Malay like colour skin to pale grey Chinese skin (and all the shades in between) regularly since my skin tans quickly and fades quickly. Fed up with having to buy a different shade of foundation all the time, I just apply the lighter foundation closest to my skin tone, and use this product to lightly dust all over my face (applying more thickly where I contour). It really helps and is a trick to use in case you buy foundation that is too light for your skin as well! I have pale skin now that it is winter, and do not think that Hoola will be good for contouring once I get tanned in the summer as it is not dark enough. When it comes round I'll probably go back to E. L. F. but for now I am loving Hoola! P.s. the brush sucks I threw it away immediately after I tried it and it Did. Not. Blend. At. All. I had a brown streak on my cheek that refused to budge with that brush.

Bronzers -E.L.F. - Studio Cool Bronzer

Overall: Good for contouring and correcting foundation that is too light for you. I was looking for a product to contour my cheeks and jawline and this is perfect! Have to blend it really well so it does not look like a bruise, but it is pigmented and if you wear foundation it blends well. Love that it is matte, no shimmer in it so it is best for contouring. I love the fact that it has 4 colours, as this means you can pick which shades to pick up on your brush depending on how tanned your face is or how much your tan has faded. For example I do not mix the white and pink when my tan is really dark but I mix in the white when my skin is lighter. I mix in the pink when I want to look more rosy than edgy. It is so cheap and good and has lasted me more more than a year. I bought both the Cool and Warm and honestly have not touched the Warm one. P.s. If you really like the bottom left section of the bronzer and find that you are only using that colour, you might want to check out Hoola by Benefit. I have recently bought it since my E. L. F. was finishing and love it! Hoola is good for me now, as my skin is currently pale, but I will go back to E. L. F. when my tan returns as the top right corner is good for darker skin.

Lipstick -MAC - Fanfare Cremesheen
rated 5 of 5
victoriajosf 1/30/2013 12:04:00 PM

I love this! This (and Crosswires) is now my everyday lipstick. I was looking for a lipstick that is nice but not too bright, nor nude. I tried loads at the Mac counter on my actual lips rather than wrist cause cremesheen lipsticks are quite sheer and looks different on your lips. Tried Creme Cup, Modesty, See Sheer etc but they were not suitable for my skin. I am Chinese from SEA and it is difficult to find a lipstick shade that doesn't wash out my skin and make it look grey during that weird skin colour period I have when my tan is fading. Fan Fare is perfect! It is a warm pink colour that is closer to pink than coral. Love it and it is one of my HG!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Sustainable Shadow Box
rated 2 of 5

Got this in my christmas stocking, very pleased with the funky colours (with interesting names as well!). Lasting eyeshadow. Just the packaging sucks! I mean, at first I really liked the wooden bamboo effect, plus it hasn't fallen apart yet after a few months of using it. However, because it's a swivel cover, I can't help feeling the product keeps getting rubbed off. And it actually has, there's glitter and smears all over the palette... Loss of product = *sadface* Because of the quality of the eyeshadow, I will probably purchase other urban decay eyeshadow products, but NOT this palette. Still, I did get this as a present which I'm really happy with! ^_^

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre
rated 4 of 5

Really love this! Have to agree with other reviews that it is 1. Good for medium/olive skin 2. Clings to dry flakes on lips 3. Mosturising I love this! My first nude lip product as well, since I usually go for darker lip colours. Accentuates natural colour of the lips as it isn't opaque, but sheer. xx

Eyeliner -Collection 2000 - Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5

Absolutely awesome product. I've used it every day for the past two years (on my second one now), and it hasn't dried up on me yet. It is a surprisingly great product for it's price. Easy to use, and dries quickly on the skin. It's even good for fancy dress (my photo with the crazy long eyeliner flick)! Stays on even through sweaty dancing. :D It does get patchy when I rub my eyes, though that's my fault really. :)

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Matte in Smoked Peach 013
rated 3 of 5
victoriajosf 1/19/2012 9:21:00 AM

I love the colour, but it settles too much in the creases of my lips which is very unappealing. However, I make it work by putting on lipbalm half an hour before I apply it, then glossing it up, as you can see in the photo I uploaded (the one with the denim jacket). It's a beautiful colour that's not too nude, not too bright, good for the summer. I absolutely can't wear it when my tan has faded, as it makes my face look incredibly sallow, but it looks amazing with my tan. I'm not sure I'll buy it again though...

Concealers -Revlon - PhotoReady Concealer SPF 20
rated 4 of 5
victoriajosf 1/19/2012 9:05:00 AM

I'm on my second PhotoReady Concealer, and my best friend has also gotten hooked on it from my recommendation! It works perfectly for me, especially for the darkness under my eyes, old acne scars and the occasional dreadful pimple. I feel so much more confident with this concealer. Not only that, but one of these lasts me for MONTHS! There is a lot of product in one tube, and I find that a little goes a long way. I bought one and used it for more than 6 months, about 4 or 5 times a week! Only problem with it is that I HAVE to use foundation with it, otherwise it looks a bit patchy which is why it has gotten a rating of 5. Nonetheless, I love this, and will keep repurchasing it as it is really affordable for its quality. Hope this helps! :)

Blush -Max Factor - Miracle Touch Cream Blush 'Soft Murano'
rated 5 of 5
victoriajosf 1/19/2012 8:54:00 AM

I love this! This is my first cream blush, and I bought it due to reviews that cream blushes have more lasting power. It did not disappoint. Unlike the powder blushes I have used thus far that last a maximum of 3hours before needing a touchup, this lasts all day! 6-8++hours, even on really windy days. I also find that it is best applied immediately after foundation, as it blends best. Without foundation, it is quite difficult to spread, so if I can't be bothered with foundation I apply it quite carefully and lightly. Since this is a cream blush, I was afraid that it would ruin my blusher brush, but have overcome that by using my fingertip to apply it. Indeed, using my finger gives me more control over it.. One thing to look out for is to be careful not to overapply, but this is the best bit. When I find a patch of skin that needs a bit more blush, I lightly tap the pot with my finger tip, and then lightly tap the area that needs blush, and it works perfectly. Miracle Touch indeed. As for the colour, it definitely brings a glow to my cheeks and a salesgirl at a shop actually asked me what colour my blusher is! It is more peachier when applied on the skin than it looks in the pot. Hope this helps! xx
