I'm halfway through my second bottle of this and I've been using it for about a year. Its the only foundation which I trust to wear through 12 hour shifts and important events. I even wore it snorkelling on vacation and it stayed put!! Although I keep trying other foundations in the hope that I'm suddenly going to look 10 years younger, I ALWAYS end up wearing this when I know it's going to be a long day with no touch-ups whatsoever. It gives an even, no fuss, medium, not too heavy coverage. Is fast and foolproof to apply, doesn't enlarge pores and sits really nicely with MAC blot powder. All in all its a fantastic, practical, every day foundation. The bottle will last around 6 months which makes the price worth it. Its a really really good product.

I've been using this for a few days and am delighted with it. I have fair skin, reddish cheeks, combination skin with large pores. It gives enough coverage and sets really fast. Feels like when Mac face and body starts to set as you apply it, but it's thicker with better coverage. With a light press of powder, it really minimizes the old pores. Unlike foundations, it has a certain opacity to it, doesn't look so much like youre wearing a powdery foundation, and it doesn't emphasize lines around the eyes as foundations with powder over them can do. Best of all I can use it on it's own. No moisturizer first. Mistake proof. Excellent colour match, I bought the light. Not at all greasy like other bb creams either.

Spurred by glowing reviews I raced across the border to the US to buy this as it doesn't seem to available in Canada yet. 15 minutes and one confused American Border Guard later, I am perusing the Life changing possibilities that await me in the Target cosmetics dept. There it is, bathed in glowing light. An orchestra crescendoes in my ear as I reach in to pick up the shiny new glass jar. First off, it weighs a ton. One reviewer pointed out that it was not like it weighed two pounds or anything. Actually it might. I could put this in my purse if I wanted to defend myself from a mugger. Not swayed by the astonishing weight of the jar, I continue to the cash register and pay my $12 or so for sand beige. Excited with my much longed for purchase, I rip open the plastic and start smearing the smooth foundation on my face in the car. Older ladies, if you want to have pores at least 50% bigger then this is for you. On my way home, I am surprised how sticky the product remains, and continually astonished at how huge my pores have become. Upon my return home, I check my face one more time. My lips are pale and make up smeared . I have also apparently managed to gather a swarm of small black flies, stuck to the foundation in the manner of insects on a windshield following a high speed highway adventure. Added to this is a large black smudge on my top lip. My grown up daughters gaze at me. Knowing I have done something different, my eldest remarks that she likes my hair today. I spend some time in the bathroom picking off flies. I couldn't brush them off as they are stuck, like to fly paper. I try to rub off the black smudge but the greasepaint holds it there. My daugher tells me I have something on my upper lip. This is almost exactly like walking around with honey smeared on your face. Shiny, incredibly sticky and makes your pores shiny and MASSIVE. I might use it to catch ants.

My latest impulse buy but i am really liking it! Got it in light/medium and it makes my skin lovely and smooth. Ir practically vanishes on application but gives a nice coverage. With a little bit of Mac blot powder to finish I keep looking at myself! Pores are vastly diminished in appearance without actually looking like I am wearing heavy make up. Natural look, light and comfortable. Wooop!

Lip Liners -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipliner in Toast 25

Have been using maybelline lip pencils for years. I much prefer the pencil types tp the push up types as they usually go on more easily and dont break. I loved the 20 shade in nude but I went to get another one as it was only 1" left and they didn't have it. So I picked up toast 25 and I have to say I think I prefer it. It's very natural looking. Lip pencils really help to make your lips look fuller and the colour remains most if the day. None others that I have tried have been as effective as maybellines. I'm a lifelong repurchaser of these!

Pressed Powders -MAC - Blot Powder

BUY ITTTTTT!!!!!! Solves ALL previous hideous foundation purchases because everything looks better with this over the top. Now I can use up all the foundations which I have bought, enough to last at least 10 years. This powder is sheer and extremely matte and lasts ALL day, like I mean 24 hours. Pores, redness and shine are DEFEATED mwahahaha. Don't worry about adding colour, I bought medium dark and I have fair skin with pink cheeks. It works like a bloomin' charm! Just buy it! I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I liked ir at first but after a few uses it seemed to be really greasy. When I put it on in the morning I just kept thinking...no, just no, and took it off again! Greased up by the end of the day too.

Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector

As I have tried so many foundations recently I wondered if maybe I should just try a primer and then maybe the foundations would look better/stay on longer/be more mattifying. Wrong. I always thought my skin was dry or combination. But with all the products I've tried recently I now know that I have very combination skin with dry cheeks and eyes and oily t zone. I never get spots, even as a teen I only ever had the odd white head! The only sensitivity I have is to some shampoos or conditioners like fructis which gives me bumps on my hairline! My skin is quite transluscent, you can see fine veins through it, very fair with pink cheeks. When I come out if the shower I am bright red! I tried this primer for a week and my nose has never been more greasy and I have lumpy itchiness on my cheeks and the sides of my nose. I even got a bright red zit on the end of my nose and yesterday my cheek flared up all red and sore. As I usually have problem free skin apart from being a bit pink, this is a horrifying result lol. Don't waste your hard earned cash. I'm off out to buy a light moisturizer for sensitive skin now!

This is a beautiful foundation. Perfect coverage and texture not too heavy or too sheer. Really really easy to blend. You could probably put this on in the dark and it would still look okay! I feel like it doesn't last all day but it's so easy to touch up during a quick bathroom break that it's no big deal. You don't have to mess around blending and powdering. Also you only need a tiny pump for half a face. Super, natural finish and my skin feels comfortable with it on. This one is a winner. I really love it. I just wanted to update...this is an AMAZING product. Out of all I have tried since they discontinued my old fave. Ive tried revlon colorstay, photo ready, EL double wear, bare essentials, maybe line fit me, Lise waiter and i even paid a fortune for christian dior..can't believe how many I have bought. This foundation is gorgeous, and natural. Gives a very young glow, when I put it on my skin looks like it did when I had just washed my face as a child, it just has a lovely finish and looks like you are wearing no make up at all. Today I slapped this on then worked 6 hours straight in the backyard, cleaned the gutters and cut the grass...my skin still looked great no oiliness or patchiness, it wore really well. I have my new fave.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Waterproof Voluminous Carbon Black

I have been using this mascara for several years now and honestly no other mascara comes close for thickness and staying power and just plain blackness! I have longish lashes anyway but I still need mascara. This stuff is always what I go to. It's indestructible even during a long work day, swimming, vacations, everything. And it's just so....black!

Bronzers -Bonne Bell - Gel Bronze

Just discovered a minor miracle today! After reading good reviews on the lip smackers and the gel bronzer I picked them up at walmart today...less than $5 each. The lipsmacker is the most amazing flattering sheer colour I have ever tried, and the bronzer is just amazing. All you need is a tiny dot just dabbed onto your cheeks and nose. Gives a lovely healthy glow and dries on your skin like a stain no powdery or creamy heaviness. I love them both and I love the price! UPDATE: I think my twenty something daughter has stolen this as I can't find it anywhere....told you it was good.

Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads

I have been using these and similar make up remover pads for years and years. They are just pads soaked in mineral oil but are the only thing I've found which will ever soften and remove majorly waterproof mascara without any dragging of the skin. It just melts it right off. Leaves a huge oily mess on your eyes but you're supposed to wash it off or at least wipe it off with a tissue! Leaves my eyes and lashes nice and soft and supple, no stinging at all. it's exactly the same as baby oil-mineral oil.

I am shaking with excitement. I LOVE this!! Have no idea why I didn't try this before and I have a whole boxful of discarded liquids, powders and creams. This goes on well, dries quickly and needs no powder! Great sheer coverage and builds easily to maximum coverage and it totally stays on. I like it sheer and it leaves a good matte finish, not at all sticky, feels like your own skin. All I need is to moisturize and then slap this on with my hands and i can GO. It takes 2 seconds. I don't have to do anything else totally one step which has been my mission since they discontinued the color stay mineral foundation powder. I like it better than the powder because it's not so drying and is way longer lasting but it's still natural looking. The best part is when I splashed water on my face to wash it off, it didn't budge! Obviously not everyone will like the total waterproofness but I do! Buy it! If they discontinue this one I may have to kill myself. Edit. Ive changed my mind a bit on this one. I put it on one evening for a night out and when I saw myself in the washroom mirror...eeek, looked like an old woman wearing shovelfulls of make up. Shining with huge pores. It's very heavy looking. Haven't worn it since!
