Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - laquer shine

I found this at the Dollar Tree & figured 'what the heck!' I'm glad I gave it a shot...I love it! I purchased two colors, one is sort of a red/pink color (not sure off-hand what the name of it is) and the crystal color (clear) which I use daily. I'm not crazy about the brush applicator, but the fact that it is thick & kinda sticky is great...it stays on my lips for hours. I'm hoping I can find more of them again for just a buck!

"Sexy" is definitely the word for this perfume. I've been wearing it now off & on for nearly 5 yrs. I get multiple compliments on this perfume, mostly from men. It is a bit 'heavier' scent so probably more of a winter perfume. Very sensual, sexy, sophisticated & any other "s" word I've forgotten!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Dianoche by Daisy Fuentes

This is the BEST perfume I have EVER purchased! I have gotten so many compliments on this scent (mostly from men). Overall, the scent is light, with jasmine type undertones. I love the fact that there are two-in-one scents here (day & night sections - the top & bottom pull apart for two different perfumes). I think I paid roughly $40 at Kohls almost a year ago, still have half of each portion, yet I wear this scent nearly every day. The only negative is that it seems to wear off by the end of the work day...i guess that's not so bad though.

Treatments -Garnier - Fructis Sleek & Shine LEAVE-IN CONDITIONING CREAM
rated 4 of 5
vgrantham 3/17/2010 3:49:00 PM

Been using this for one week. I love the scent; it is light & pretty. Love the way it makes my hair feel...very soft & smooth. It really tames frizz & fly-aways on my color-treated, dry hair. I put it on when hair is wet and either air dry or blow dry, works either way. I also often straighten or loosely curl my hair & have noticed that I do not need a smoothing serum to complete the look. And for the price, you just can't beat it!

Treatments -Garnier - Fructis 3 Minute Undo Dryness Reversal Treatment Triple Nutritrion
rated 3 of 5
vgrantham 3/17/2010 3:39:00 PM

I used this for about two months or more until the product was used up. It was a great moisture boost on my colored, dry hair but it didn't seem to last more than one or more day - as far as the moisture part. It was just a temporary fix, which I guess they all are but I wasn't moved by this product. I would purchase again if I absolutely had to; I was neither here nor there with it in the end...it was just 'ok'.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Thermal Recovery
rated 4 of 5
vgrantham 3/17/2010 2:53:00 PM

I've been using TRESemme shampoo/conditioners sporadically over the last five or so years. I do like all types that I have used, however, this particular type is by far the best for me. I have thick fairly straight hair which I blow dry and straighten or loosely curl often. I was starting to see the signs of heat damage on hair that I'd always treasured as one of my finer assets ;) I can tell that if a clarifying shampoo is not used weekly, I would have problems with buildup, but there are just too many pro's than there are con's with this shampoo/conditioner. I don't even use a smoothing serum after styling my hair anymore; this shampoo/cond leaves my hair so soft, smooth, and frizz-free. **To remove any buildup, I have a spray bottle of 1/2water & 1/2malt vinegar, spray this into wet hair & leave in while showering, then rinse. Hair feels clean and amazing!** Oh and the only reason I did not give this a '5' is the fact that the bottle are now a few ounces smaller and come without pumps, but we're still paying the same price...go figure =)

Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
rated 2 of 5
vgrantham 3/17/2010 2:40:00 PM

This is my first 'mineral' powder. Overall, I do like the powder, but I don't love it enough to buy it again. I think I'll be looking for another powder sooner rather than later. I found the brush that comes with it coarse, hard to use, & held a lot of powder. It is easy to over-apply this and it does look very cakey. I have oily skin so throughout the day I use blotter sheets, yet I don't notice it wearing off which is a plus. I'm glad I check my face/skin out in the mirror because only after an hour or so of wearing this, you can see how the oil on my face and the makeup have caused weird streaks in certain areas. I say 'oily' skin but dang, it's not like my face is dripping with grease, so I don't know why the makeup reacts like that. Anyway, I won't be buying this again.

rated 4 of 5

A bit pricey (I'm a single mom on a budget) but definitely a great purchase. Did what I wanted and made my skin GLOW!! I got so many compliments. Not oily or drying, worked perfect as a moisturizer day and night for me.

Treatments -AMBI - Fade Cream
rated 4 of 5
vgrantham 3/5/2010 3:29:00 PM

**UPDATE - It's been a couple of weeks now that I've been using this fade cream and I love it! I was using it day & night but have since changed to using it only at night (it can be a bit heavy during the day with makeup) and can see a significant difference! For $4.99+tax...you just can't beat this fade cream. My oily skin has not yet broken out from it and in fact, I have not been so blemish free for so long...I love it!!** I've been using this product for one week and in only a few days I have seen a significant difference. Since having my daughter nearly 2 yrs ago, I have had problems with melasma and blemishes leaving dark spots. The only other item that has worked is Clinique's Even Better, which was awesome but being $40-something is a bit pricey for me. I thought I'd give Ambi Fade Cream a shot, especially for the price, and I'm super happy so far with the results! I have very oily skin, but purchased the 'regular' type of fade cream; it does not make my skin any oilier than usual, in fact I think it has helped tame the oil production. Fingers crossed that I remain happy with it!

Shampoo -Mane 'n Tail - Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
vgrantham 3/2/2010 4:47:00 PM

I used this for a couple of months until one day co-workers asked me what was in my hair. Apparently, the shampoo/conditioner had caused build-up and then started flaking off (looked like dried glue, sheets of white junk) my hair and scalp. I was mortified! After having gloriously beautiful hair for the few months before this incident, I stopped using this product all together. A clarifying shampoo cleared up all the buildup in the end.

Cleansers -Noxzema - Original Skin Cream
rated 4 of 5
vgrantham 3/2/2010 8:38:00 AM

I've been using Noxzema original cleanser now for over a year and love it! The tingle is definitely invigorating and the scent adds to the over-all clean feeling. I have terribly oily skin and have tried pretty much every cleanser out there with no noticeable positives (other than Neutrogena cleansers-which can be pricey) So, for the price, deep cleansing, and noticeable positive difference...this is it for me!
