Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Vanille Abricot

Wish I could give a 3.5 rating, 3 seems a bit low but it's not quite a 4 for me either. It really is a lovely scent, and longer-lasting than the other CSPs that I have, but it's not my favorite. It's very VERY sweet which I normally like, but I think it might be a little too sweet even for me. The biggest problem I have with it though is that my husband is allergic to it! Good thing I bought the smallest size bottle, I'll use it up when he's not around, but I definitely won't be repurchasing this one.
Eye Shadow -Hard Candy - Eye Candy Eye Shadow - Buttered Popcorn

I have the sample from the goldrush gift bag as well. In the pan this is very pretty, a peachy gold with shimmer, it looks similar to Nars Night Star. I tried one on each eye to compare, and while the Night Star went on sheer and shimmery, the Buttered Popcorn went on kind of chalky and matte with very little shimmer. The color showed up as sort of a dull yellowish peach on my neutral toned PPP skin. It's not awful, but it's not nearly as pretty as it is in the pan. I will keep it in my travel bag and eventually use it up, but even though the Nars is nearly twice the price I will probably repurchase it instead of this.
I've been searching for my HG concealer, and this isn't it. I do like the creamy formula, and I love the twist-up packaging and the brush applicator, but it only comes in 2 colors and the lighter one (lightning) is a bit too dark for my PPP skin. Also, it's kinda pricey for the amount of product you get. I did see that another reviewer said it makes a good e/s base, so I'll probably use up the rest that way; but I won't be repurchasing unless they add more shades and lower the price.
YUCK. I was expecting a beachy, coconutty-suntan-lotion smell, but instead this smells overwhelmingly of BUG SPRAY! Which I guess is a summer scent, but not the one I wanted. Plus, it makes me nauseous-- literally. I've worn it twice and both times I was fighting my gag reflex all day (the first time I figured it was something I ate, otherwise there wouldn't have been a 2nd time). Possibly effective as an appetite suppressant, but definitely not appealing as a fragrance. This one's going back to Sephora!
Makeup Brushes -Hard Candy - tools of attraction brush set

This is a very nice set for the money. The brushes are super-soft and nice quality-- like a cheaper version of the Urban Decay brushes, similar fibers but less densely packed. The set comes with a powder/blush brush, two sizes of e/s blender brushes, a lip brush, and an angled liner brush; in a nylon pouch with velcro closure and a flap that folds down over the brush heads, it also has a mirror inside and a zippered pouch on the front. I bought this as a travel set and it's perfect for that. As the SA pointed out, these are all the brushes that you actually *use* everyday. If I lost this set, I would definitely repurchase. UPDATE: Hard Candy has changed this set. "Tools of Attraction II" has the same brush selection, but they now have pink handles instead of blue and come in a blue quilted satin case with no mirror. I think that the brushes are not quite as soft as in the original set, but it's still a good value as either a starter set or travel kit.
