Cleansers -Olay - Daily Facials Express- Sensitive Skin
rated 4 of 5

I'm not a big fan of makeup wipes but sometimes there's just no other option. I mostly used these after going out to cleanse my face and remove makeup. Since I'm usually big on proper cleansing I wouldn't use them on an everyday basis but they do the job when needed. I have very sensitive eyes and the skin around them gets easily sore and puffy. These didn't overly irritate my eyes especially since the fragrance is so subtle. No stinging and burning, which I experienced with many makeup wipes before. They're not soaking wet but not completely dry either. I could live with them being a bit more moist since stuff like this naturally dries out with time after you first open the seal. The formula itself works well on my skin, since it doesn't feel completely parched the next day even when I don't bother with moisturizing. I now throw them into my gym bag for post-workout sweat removal, which is really handy. I'm not saying I'm in love but they do the job and are surprisingly gentle unlike other products of their kin. The price is decent too. Have repurchased them several times and probably will keep doing so since they're a safe bet when it comes to make-up wipes.

Lipstick -MAC - Hang-up Cremesheen
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/8/2013 6:46:00 AM

Of the few mac lippies I own hang-up must be one of my most loved! It's a deep not to blue based purple. Despite the vampy color it's still sophisticated. Makes me teeth look really white! I mostly wear this with a graphic eyeliner look or just a simple eye makeup on a night out. The finish is very dewy and creamy and as with all the mac lip products the smell is divine! Even though it has a slippery feel to it it's quite long lasting! Lovely product that I would repurchase anytime!

Polishes -OPI - William Tell Me About OPI
rated 5 of 5

I don't own too many high end nail varnishes but this must have been one of the first pricier one's I bought. I used it a few times until, one day it literally va(r)nished - ha ha! I was so upset and looked everywhere but it was gone. About two years later, when we moved out my mother found this under the cupbord. I was sure that it must be dried out by now. But uh-uh! Two years (!), and it was just as good as when I first bought it! Not droopy, or tacky, only one coat needed and quite long-lasting. It's a deep, almost-black burgundy with purple undertones. Vampy yet elegant. Great product and quite cheap considering the amount and quality you get!

Bronzers -Estee Lauder - Bronze Goddess Soft Duo Bronzer
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/8/2013 6:05:00 AM

Big LOVE for this bronzer. I haven't tried too many bronzers so far but I know that I can't get away with matte ones, since it would make me look way too fake-baked. This product sort of crept into my morning routine this winter. I used it a couple of times in the summer for a glowy evening look but when the months become colder I really needed something to warm up my skin again. I found myself using this everyday and it worked perfectly. I don't wear much make up at all everyday, not even mascara, but this was great for dull skin. Despite the shimmer no one ever noticed that I was using any kind of bronzer. The color suits me perfectly and looks natural. Unfortunately it shattered as soon as I hit pan and now it's just one big mess. I'm still using it but it's not going to last too long anymore. Thought about getting a new one but it's just so expensive! I have been eye-balling the l'oreal bronzer though since it looks quite similar. Would love to know if anyone found it to be a good dupe! Other than that this is a great product that I recommend to all of the anemic looking ladies out there!

Eye Primer -Essence - I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
rated 3 of 5
veiolex 3/8/2013 5:49:00 AM

I bought this in desperate need of a primer base. It's a bit cakey and sticky and the smell isn't great too. But what I really don't like is the color. It's not neutral enough, and leaves my lids looking a bit orange. This is not a bad product by any means, but It's not stunning either. I find that it settles into lines quite easily leaving them looking orange. It does an okay job at intensifying pigment. Can't say too much about the staying power since I haven't used this often enough. Definitely a budget friendly buy but not comparable with, say UDPP.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 4 of 5
veiolex 3/8/2013 5:40:00 AM

Well, we all know this product. It has been hyped by everyone and their mother. Unfortunately I can't get my hands on UD in my country and I've been lusting after this product for a while. On my trip to Nice I finally had the chance to buy this at a local sephora. I was so excited to spend my 18 bucks on this little guy. Won't say this is uber-cheap but it's definitely not going to tear a hole on your wallet. It did all that it promised to do: no more creasing, smoother eyeshadow application, intensify pigment, longer hold... I was really pleased. Until, one day the packaging just broke. This was 2 years ago so it still had the old packaging, which is well known for trouble. In my case the top broke off just beneath the screw of the lid. I was a little upset but I'd heard that people we're depotting this product which I followed to do too. Unfortunately this couldnt't be saved. It became tacky quicker than you can say "Urban Decay" and eventually dried out altogether. In the end I only got a total of about 15 uses out of this product and am sad to this day that it had such a short life. Didn't repurchase it, but I might a soon as I get the chance seeing that the packaging has changed!

Makeup Brushes -Essence - Gel Eyeliner Brush
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/8/2013 5:25:00 AM

This is the first an only eyeliner brush I bought so I can't really compare it to any mac or so brushes but from what I can tell this is a great tool to have. I used to use my mac fluid line all the time and this brush did a perfect job for me. I am quite precise with my liner so it had to be able to draw thin lines. In between i also used this on my brows or with eyeshadow which I think wore it down a bit. Now after about a year the ends are kind of flayed out and it's hard to draw a precise line, but hey I did throw it in my hand bag a couple of times and it survived for a year! And for the price it really doesn't hurt to repurchase this every now and then. I might try a higher end one just to see how it compares but this is a great budget purchase!

Conditioner -TiGi - S Factor Serious Conditioner
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/8/2013 5:10:00 AM

LOVE! This is a great great conditioner! I used to always stay away from anything too nourishing but my hair has been so dry this winter that I switched up everything. this is such a lovely conditioner, it made my hair super soft and silky without weighing it down one little bit. I felt as though it even gave my hair some firmness. I used quite a lot just because my hair drank it up immediately but so far I haven't had to wash it sooner than usual, so no extra greasiness. I really recommend this, even for the fine haired ladies out there!

Highlighters -MAC - Prep + Prime Highlighter Pen (Radiant Rose)
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/4/2013 6:32:00 AM

This is a a great brightening product. It works as a color corrector with pinky undertones to lighten dark areas. It doesn't have these useless shimmer particles which i dislike. I use this either over or underneath my concealer and i find to have surprisingly l little creasing. The price/g is great in my opinion since similar products usually offer half the product for the same price!

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Raspberry Pot Rouge
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/4/2013 6:18:00 AM

This is one of my absolute favs in my makeup collection! I find myself using it everyday now. I usually dont wear much make up at all on a normal weekday but this is perfect to perk up that dull winter complexion. The color looks absolutely natural, like i just came back from a walk in the woods. A little product goes a long way and it's long wearing too. Great packaging, i don't need to carry a mirror around anymore! It's so worth the money!

Treatments -Kerastase - Masque UV Defense Active
rated 2 of 5
veiolex 3/4/2013 6:12:00 AM

I honestly didn't like this at all. The consistency was way too runny and i felt like i needed a ton of product to leave some kind of effect on my hair. For how little uses i got out of the entire tub the pricing seems ridiculous! The whole UV line is really not for me...

Toners -Clarins - Gentle Exfoliater Brightening Toner
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/4/2013 1:40:00 AM

This is such a great product, i can't imagine living without it now. My skin gets really dull in the winter and this helps immensely to brighten the complexion and even it out. Due to it's formula it's not drying at all like other exfoliators and surprisingly doesn't irritate me at all. I use it about 2-3 times a week after cleansing, let it sit on my skin for one or two minutes and then follow up with a hydrating toner, moisturizer eyecream etc! Would repurchase this anytime if i ran out!

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 3/3/2013 4:34:00 PM

great product! it takes off all of my eye makeup without having to scrub around or leaving an oil residue. i have super sensitive eyes and when i use lots of makeup my eye area gets so sore. but since i've been using this i don't have that problem anymore. it's also not drying on my face, so when i come home after going out i can just hit the sack without having to wash my face and moisturize. very recommended for the sensitive faced gals out there!

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Mascara
rated 4 of 5
veiolex 3/3/2013 4:26:00 PM

i'm not a big mascara girl but for the weekend or a heavier makeup look i obviously do use it. my friend had given me a sample of this mascara and i loved it so i decided to get the full size when i saw it on sale in one of those holiday editions (w makeup bag, all about eyes serum and eyeliner). it holds a curl well, is quite volumizing and separating, fairly lengthening too without clumping. in terms of longevity it's actually really good. i think this must be one of the most long-lasting mascaras i've tried! i'm not saying i couldn't live without this but it's a nice mascara to have!

Treatments -Caudalie - Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum
rated 5 of 5
veiolex 2/17/2013 6:53:00 AM

another great caudalie product! since i've been using this my skin is not only looking a lot more alive, it's also soothed, less redness and irritation and much finer texture. it just feels really soft. i use it morning and night after my toner and before my any moisturiser. my anyways dry skin also gets really dehydrated in the winter with all the central heating etc and this is helping me combat the effect and avoiding using mineral oil based creams since it preps my skin well for any following moisturiser. if you have sensitive/dehydrated/dull winter skin i highly recommend this serum!
