This green pencil glides on smoothly, sparkles with fine-grained gold shimmer. I wear it as an eye liner, and it complements many colors of shadow. It's deeply pigmented, so I get a lot of applications out of it before I have to sharpen the pencil again. I think it looks good with my hazel eyes. The color sets up without smearing and lasts all day.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - ABC Gum Matte

Got this on sale from Urban Decay's website for $9, half off its usual price. This matte peach/beige color matches my skin tone well enough that I like to use it as a concealer around my eyes, when I want to brighten up the dark circles (under) and corners of my eyes. I don't like using it as eye shadow because I think my natural coloring looks better, plus it makes the skin under my eyebrows look dry (probably because it is). Since this eye shadow has me dabbling in cover / correction / foundation, I'll probably try to find a different product that does the same thing, but with all-natural, organic ingredients.

Lipstick -Urban Decay - Pistol

I got this on sale at their website for $3, which I think was a great deal. Didn't know what I was going to get, but figured it was worth a try for a few bucks. I was happily surprised with what I got! The color is very sheer, looks natural on my lips. Well, it looks like lip gloss, actually. In fact, I think it is more like a lip gloss than a lipstick - it's soft and moisturizing, looks wet and shiny. Part of the shine comes from multi-colored micro-glitter. It's actually pretty subtle. But a little sparkly. I have long hair, and Urban Decay lipsticks go on wet enough that strands of my hair stick to my lips if they wander in that direction. So I don't wear them unless I have my hair up. I love the sugary smell of UD lipsticks. I notice little flavor; definitely no bad flavor.

Lipstick -Urban Decay - Revolution

So, I thought I'd give this red, red lipstick a try. Bought it online. Put some on. Looked rather bright and unnatural... not something I'd normally feel comfortable in, but I thought I'd be bold (well, in the safety of my own home - I didn't go out with it on). Husband comes home. He pretty much never comments on my makeup. Took a look at me and said, "You look like a clown." Well... I appreciate the honest feedback, I GUESS. Decided that color is not for me, haven't worn it again. Well, that's not quite true - I did try to put on just a tiny bit, using it as a stain... it still looks too bright, somehow, on me. It's just the color that I don't like. I should add: on me, this is not a red red, it is a pinkish red. But I'll always think of it as clown red :-)

Wow, what a bargain! And great colors! Not a color I don't like. Unfortunately, I dropped this the day I bought it. The red/black eyeliner on the left went everywhere, and kept infecting the other colors (until I added rubbing alcohol and gave it a good press). The brush looks pretty cheesy; haven't tried it. It's soft and sparsely bristled. Ended up removing the pans and putting them into a magnetic case. The pans seem to be aluminum - flimsy and not magnetic. Glued magnets to the bottom and they're working fine (they're not as deep as Urban Decay pans). I like that Wet 'n' Wild doesn't test on animals.

I like the way this eyeliner comes with its own dedicated brush. It makes it more of a bargain, since I'll still have the brush when the product runs out. Not that I think I'll ever hit the pan on this one. It is very soft and creamy, and does not harden up once it is applied. So don't use it as a mascara, as you might do with a liquid eyeliner - it will just make a big mess. It's a good idea to rub off excess with your finger or the smudger on the end of the brush, to avoid smears later in the day. It has no sparkle or shimmer. I wouldn't buy it again because I think I have enough dark brown eyeliners to last me a long time. I think I prefer a lighter color, like Whiskey.

This pencil does not glide on smoothly - I have to apply pressure, and then it goes on unevenly. I'm mostly disappointed in the color - this looks blue when it is on my eyelid, not silver. The color isn't a bad one, though...just not what I expected. It's darker than I expected, too. On the plus side, it does have staying power! I also like that the column of color freely slides out of the pencil; that means that when the time comes for me to sharpen it, I won't lose any color to the pencil sharpener. Not sure whether that was intentional and they're all like that or not.
