Honestly, this is amazing. It's important to me that I buy cruelty-free beauty and hygiene products, so for the past couple years I've been using Alba Botanica and Yes to Carrots lip balms, and before that, I've tried every brand at the drugstore. I had no complaints with the Alba and Yes to Carrots balms, but my friend convinced me to try Hurraw. She made it sound like a godsend, so I ordered some from their site (Coconut, Grapefruit, & Black Cherry) and I absolutely agree. I woke up the morning after the first night I used it and my lips felt SO smooth. Their website describes it as "super smooth, not draggy, not sticky, not sweet, not too glossy, not too smelly, never grainy, long lasting." When I read that, I was thinking, "What...?" When I got it, it totally made sense. It really is perfect, and it really is all of those things. Whether you're into vegan products or not, if you like lip balm, this is for you. I feel like you really have to try it to understand -- it feels perfect on your lips. It has the best consistency for a lip balm, the packaging is sleek, and the company offers a lot of great and unique flavors. I never want to use anything else on my lips again and I think this is a perfect go-to for a gift idea! Try it and you won't go back!

Self Tanners -Banana Boat - Summer Color Sunless Lotion Deep Dark
rated 5 of 5

I absolutely love this product. I've tried several drugstore self-tanning products over the past few years (Jergens, L'Oreal, Neutrogena, etc.) and this is worlds above anything else I've tried. The color is amazing. I can achieve a really dark color with a few applications, but it's natural-looking and not orange-y or tacky at all. When they say "Summer Color," they really are dead-on. That's the best way to put it. The lotion itself is tinted which helps with application. I generally get little to no rub-off onto my clothes, but I do wait several minutes before dressing. The times I have had rub-off are due to sweating a few hours after applying...like, if I'd put it on in the morning and be outside during the afternoon on a hot day. Even then, it wasn't anything too drastic or permanent. It took me a little trial and error to figure out how I like to use it best, and I prefer to apply it before bed. The smell is so great compared to some other kinds I've tried. Anything with DHA is gonna give that weird smell to some extent, but I don't think this is harsh or unmanageable at all. For me, it doesn't fade completely evenly, but I have this problem with everything I've tried. I do exfoliate prior to application, but I'm pretty confident that this is an application error rather than a product error. Doesn't bother me much, though, cause I can just exfoliate and re-apply! I pay $8.99 for this usually but other reviews say it can be found for a couple dollars less, so I'll probably look around for better prices because this is something I purchase regularly. For a drugstore self-tanner, I'd say the price is average. In the world of self-tanners as a whole, it's definitely cheap. Sometimes I'm tempted to try higher-end or department store tanners that run $40+, but since I love this so much and have no complaints, I really don't need to! If they made a bigger-sized bottle, I'd be set! Love it & totally recommend!!!
