This was a really painless way to touch up my roots. I have been colouring my hair for almost 10 years, and I was pleasantly surprised by this product. My hair doesn't feel all dried out, and my scalp isn't stained. It was so fast, and the results are just like what I get from products that take 25-40 minutes. The product is a bit overpriced and the packaging is excessive, but this is still a great product. I will definitely stock up when this comes on sale.
Primer/ Corrector -Fyrinnae - Fyrinnae Rice Powder Primer

I didn't have high hopes for this powder, because I've had bad luck with primers in the past. I ordered it because it was so inexpensive. I used it this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I have oily combination skin with occasional breakouts of hormonal acne. I also have big pores. I applied a light layer of this before my maybelline pure makeup liquid foundation. My skin stayed fresh and matte all day! I usually have to blot constantly, and my foundation fades. This kept is nice and neat and unshiny. I will order this again when I run out.
Lotions/ Creams -OPI - Avojuice in Grapefruit Juice

I got a sample of this and went back to buy a big bottle. I have very oily skin, so i usually don't use a body moisturizer. Everything else I've tried leaves an oily film on my skin. This absorbs very quickly, and never feels greasy. The scent is very light. My skin feels comfortable and moisturized all day long without that icky feeling that other body lotions levae behind. the only drawback is the price ($11.95 CDN for 200mL). The bottle doesn't last very long. But it's worth it for a body lotion of this calibre.
I usually have my legs sugared professionally, but I was in a bind and needed to do them myself at home. I bought the strips for body (large size). It took two boxes to do my half legs. I was surprised at how well these worked. They didn't leave any hair behind, and all the sticky residue was easily removed with the azulene oil that comes in the box. The strips were easy to trim to fit smaller areas, like toes or around the knees. I used a hairdryer to heat them up, applied the heated strip right away, and then removed it right away. I am very happy with the results I bought, and would buy these again.
Shampoo -L'Oreal - Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Normal to Fine Hair
valentine 8/15/2007 6:42:00 PM
This is a pretty decent shampoo and conditioner. It left my hair very shiny, but not "cashmere soft" as promised on the bottle. The scent isn't overpowering, and it rinses clean easily. It's not a great replacement for my beloved fresh vive (which was discontinued), but overall, it's a pretty good shampoo.
Self Tanners -Biotherm - Summer source for medium skin tones
valentine 7/25/2007 6:48:00 PM
This is my HG self tanner. I thought that I couldn't use self tanners because they always turned me orange. I tried this one after it was recommended to me at a drugstore. I am a PPP, but I bought the one for medium skin because I wanted deeper results. The colour is lovely and goldeny, not orange at all. It is a progressive self tanner, so you don't have to be as careful when you're applying it. It's very moisturizing, and smells light and citrusy when you put it on. It gets a mild fritos smell as it dries, but it's nothing too bad. It was $31 CDN for a bottle which lasts about 2 weeks if applied every day to the whole body. I would recommened this to anyone who has been scared off of self tanners. Will definetly buy again!
Self Tanners -St. Ives - Healthy Brilliance Firm and Glow moisturizer
valentine 6/16/2007 9:04:00 PM
I'm not sure why this isn't more popular! This is the only self tanner that works on my pasty skin. It gives a nice golden colour that's not orangey. The colour builds really slowly, so I didn't have any problems with streaking. It is also very subtle. It moisturizes really well too. I'll buy this again when I run out. At 7.99 CDN it's a bargain.
This did what I wanted it to do...cover up my auburn hair and leave it black black black. I'm not sure that I noticed the "built in highlights" that the box described, but it gave AMAZING coverage, and my hair wasn't too dry once the whole thing was over. The only problem is the smell. It burned my eyes while I was using it.
This is an incredible product. You apply it under makeup, all over your face. My foundation went on very evenly, and the base helped to keep my makeup from getting greasy. I've worn this stuff all day in very hot weather, and I notice a dramatic diffenece in how well my makeup stays put. It didn't break me out or dry up my skin. If you can get your hands on this stuff, stock up.
Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Hair Serum
valentine 1/23/2003 6:32:00 PM
This is an incredible product. I've never bought it before because I thought that it was expensive, but just a little bit makes my puffy hair behave for the whole day.
This cream has a really incredible scent. It also absorbs pretty quickly. I've only used it for three days, and my feet are much softer.
This lip balm is really thick (it lasts overnight). It doesn't taste that great, but it did an excellent job of restoring my chapped lips.
The Strokes is a pre-shampoo moisturizer. It has Irish stout, olive oil, and lemongrass in it. I used this on my recently colour-treated hair, and I couldn't believe the difference. It felt like someone else's hair! It adds body and smoothness without weight. The scent is amazing. I would highly recommend this. product.
I rarely wear blush, but I've worn this every day sice I bought it. It goes on nice and sheer, and gives my skin a natural, flushed look. It hasn't given me piples yet, which is a good sign. This will definetly become a staple product for me.
I bought two of these because I really loved the unusual colours. They chipped on the first day, and didn't dry as quickly as promised. Still, they're cheap and fun, so there are tradeoffs. Maybe I'll try them with a heavy duty topcoat.
