On a trip to Europe I bought the Great Lash mascara on a friend's recommendation and it was such a disappointment! It did not live up to its claim of giving "Great Lash", it was clumpy and it smudged, even the waterproof version! Terrible terrible. The only good thing about this is probably the pretty tube.
For some unknown reason, my hair has been falling out more than normal for the past few years, and I've tried so many remedies including Nioxin shampoos. What really worked for me was, using a mixture of castor oil, coconut oil and olive oil, I massage my scalp on alternate days, leave it on for an hour, then shampoo it off. After using this method for about 3 months, I'm seeing a lot of new hair growing out, which I'm very pleased with! Highly recommend castor oil, it's so inexpensive and does not contain a bunch of synthetic substances in other commercial hair growth products.
Here's my recipe: 1 tbs quick-cooking oats 1 tsp water 1 tbs plain yogurt Mash up the oats and soften them with water, then mix in the yogurt, easy peasy! Spread the mixture on the face and massage it gently. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes then rinse off with warm water (this helps to remove the oats more easily). This gives really soft skin that's immediately brighter! Ingredients are so inexpensive and works so well.
I used to use this when I had breakouts as a teenager. Mix it with Cetaphil so that it becomes a paste, spread onto the areas with pimples and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Thereafter, apply some water and scrub very gently, then rinse off! This gives smooth skin, and pimples would heal quickly. Don't use it too regularly as it may sensitize the skin. Once a week is the maximum I think.
The ELDW is my first and only high-end foundation and I bought it after reading all the awesome reviews here. I wore it for a outdoor photo shoot to see how it performed. Pros: 1. Long-lasting even in humid and hot weather - it lasted me throughout the photo shoot which took 6 hours in the hot sun, with lots of walking 2. Excellent coverage! Concealed the pores around the nose and hid the redness from blemishes beautifully. 3. You only need a very small amount of product each time since it's so blendable. Cons: 1. I noticed some white cast in a few photos when the lighting wasn't right. This is probably due to the SPF in the product - or the sunscreen which I used underneath the foundation. 2. Classic Estee Lauder bottle design, pouring the foundation out might be a little messy. To overcome this, I poured some into a sample jar and used the product from there. I'm still trying out different foundations from various brands but it's likely that I'll come back to ELDW!
