Tinted Moisturizer -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear
usernameistaken 4/4/2008 5:31:00 PM
*** CONCLUSION *** This is the first (and may be the only) drugstore foundation I have liked. I've been using this for a month and I love it. Great quality for the price, sheer but buildable coverage, and none irritating on my skin. Go out and get this!!! I like this much better than Stila's TM which turned me into a greaseball. I will absolutely repurchase this over and over again! *** PROS *** -- Very easy to blend -- Great price for the quality -- Great staying power -- Moisturizes without turning me into a greaseball (I skip my moisturizer and just use this) -- No breakouts -- Sheer but buildable coverage -- None irritating to skin (I've slept without washing my face a couple of times and still no breakouts, although I am admittedly not acne prone). -- Hygienic squeeze tube container/dispenser. *** CONS *** The lavender scent was a bit strong in the beginning but now I hardly notice it at all. *** CONTAINER AND DISPENSER TYPE *** Squeeze tube (very sturdy - I haven't had any problems with it leaking). *** RECOMMENDATIONS *** This was super watery and runny at first but that was because I hadn't read the box. The box says to shake well before use. If you make sure to do this before use, the consistency is perfect! :) *** INGREDIENTS *** Claims to be 100% Free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives, parabens, GMDs (Genetically Modified Organisms), synthetic colors, and synthetic fragrances. Also claims to be 100% cruelty free. Just an average gloss formula, with a great sheerish color that will go with many looks. I'm on the fence and am not sure I would repurchase. (Leaning towards no because I'm not crazy about the formula).
PROS: -- Great color! On my very pigmented mauvey lips, this color looks like a peachy rosey color on me, with tiny gold shimmer. -- Not as sticky as MAC lipglass. -- Smells yummy, a fruity kind of smell. CONS: -- This gloss is on the sheer side. -- A bit drying on my lips. -- Staying power isn't great. APPLICATOR TYPE: -- Brush RECOMMENDATIONS: -- Looks great with Cargo Topeka or Nars Lovejoy blush. INGREDIENTS: Simethicone, Dimethicone, Carnauba (Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax), Parfum (Gragrance) and may contain (et peut contenir): [+/- Titanium Dioxide Cl 77891, Iron Oxides Cl 77491, Cl 77492, Cl 77499, Red 40 Lake Cl 16035, Carmine Cl 75470, Red 36 Cl 12085, Blue 1 Lake Cl 42090, Red 21 Lake Cl 45380, Red 7 Cl 15850, Red 27 Lake Cl 45410, Yellow 5 Lake Cl 19140, Bismuth Oxycholoride Cl 77163, Mica] PRICE: I purchased this in March 2008 and at the time, the price was $23 for 0.3 fl.oz. On me this gave me good volume. Didn't do much as far as lengthening. The really bad thing about this mascara is that it smudges - really really badly! Will not repurchase.
Decent mascara. On me it was great for lengthening but gave me no volume at all. Unfortunately, I couldn't stand the awful smell and it irritated my eyes. I actually prefer Maybelline Full 'n Soft to this and will not be repurchasing.
This is one of those MAC eyeshadows that get a hard crust on them. I haven't even used it wet, but just from normal use it gets this crusty film on top that I have to scrape off occasionally. This is a light pink color with golden sparkles. Not very pigmented at all. I have to really pack it on to get it to show up on me (NC35ish). But, once on it looks nice and blends well. Just a little less than mediocre for me due to having to pack so much on just to see it. I'm trying to use mine up and will not repurchase.
I don't get the hype over this. Maybe I just got a bad batch. I found it to be really chalky and hard to blend. I demoted mine to eyebrow filler. >:/
Eye Primer -Too Faced - First Base Eyeshadow Primer

This base is terrible. Not only does it make your e/s crease (within, like, 5 minutes! LOL), but it even creases by itself. Utterly useless, both as a base and to wear alone. Such a shame because it is so pretty. Would definitely not repurchase.
Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash Volume Mascara
usernameistaken 3/4/2008 1:43:00 PM
What an awful product. Awful, awful, awful. Did I already say awful? The only thing it did for my lashes was clump them together - the exact opposite of defining OR volumizing which it claimed to do both. Also, the brush is extremely cheap and flimsy and hard to put back in the tube without it bending sideways first. Ugh. Going in the trash. . . . .
This is a very beautiful color. It's gunmetal gray with shades of lavender. My first foray into such a dark color. I took a lippie off because after only 2 days of wear I can already see some wear on the edges, but so far it hasn't gotten any worse. Great color and average formula! If given the choice, I would definitely repurchase this simply because I love the color. Here it is on me:
This is a great taupe, for some reason I didn't like it when I first got it but I recently rediscovered it and think it is all that and a bag of chips. Very versatile, in my opinion, could be paired with pretty much anything. It's more of a brown taupe than silvery taupe, and has a tiny bit of plumminess. Great color, texture, and lasting power. Will definitely repurchase.
I had the hardest time finding a nude lipstick that didn't make me look like a zombie. Imagine my happiness when I finally found THE ONE. This is my HG nude lippie. A great peachy-nude that goes perfect with my NC35-42 complexion. As with all MAC lippies, I love the vanilla scent. While I do find MAC's lippies to be hit or miss in regards to how drying they are (even within the same formula type), this particular one is not drying at all on me. Will definitely repurchase!
I love peachy or corally lip stuff and I was lemming this for the longest time. One day I finally gave in. However, I was sorely disappointed. Although it was a pretty color, it just kinda sat on top of my lips. Wasn't very flattering at all. Given the chance, I would not repurchase this.
Eye Shadow -Fyrinnae - Loose Eyeshadow in Snow Leopard

I usually buy samples first from Fyrinnae, but I bought a full size of this sight unseen based on the beautiful swatches I've been seeing. I am happy to report that I was not disappointed! This is a beautiful, beautiful taupe. I would have to agree with ImCastingMagicMissiles in that it gleams. Not shimmer, not glitter, but gleam! So gorgeous. This is more of a silvery taupe than a brown taupe. Very wearable during the day but can also be used in a dramatic smokey eye. I use UDPP and this lasted on me without creasing for 10+ hours. Good stuff.
Loose Powders -Fyrinnae - Fyrinnae Mineral Finish: Oil Control
usernameistaken 8/30/2007 6:09:00 PM
I love this stuff! I usually have to blot at least three times a day if not more. But with this stuff, I only have to blot once, and at the end of the day at that! Keeps me matte yet not too matte. Love it, I've already bought a full-size after my sample and will repurchase this over and over again.
Wow, super black and goes on like buttah. Wore off on my waterline slowly (didn't disappear all at once) throughout the day, no smudging for me. And it didn't budge where I put it on my lashlines and didn't irritate my sensitive, contact lens-wearing eyes. I would definitely repurchase. But be forewarned, it is LE. LE from MAC? Shocking! (Not!) =P
