Treatments (Eye) -Derma E - Pycnogenol and Hyaluronic Acid Eye Creme
urbana 1/27/2013 3:42:00 AM
This doesn't irritate my eyes and I really like the packaging. I've also noticed a moderate improvement while using it and if I forget to for a day or so my under eye begins to look a little haggard. I'll definitely repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter
urbana 1/27/2013 3:36:00 AM
This stuff smells and tastes sumptuous. It's like an Andes Candies without the calories. I use it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It works better than average and the squeeze tube is both hygienic and practical.

Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Softlotion - Bedtime Lotion
urbana 1/27/2013 3:29:00 AM
Generally, I hate using lotions, but I adore this stuff. It sinks in really well without feeling sticky and smells nice without being overpowering. I do believe it helps me sleep better and it definitely makes me feel pampered. One of my favs!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
urbana 11/17/2008 4:08:00 AM
This would be an OK product if it did not without fail produce raccoon eyes . I have tried it numerous times in numerous formulations (waterproof/not waterproof) and colors and worn it under numerous conditions and it always, always leaves huge smudges. That said, it does look nice when first applied and is my sister's go to mascara for falsies. I don't find it very dramatic on it's own though.

Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Angel
urbana 10/6/2007 3:43:00 PM
I'm not particularly fond of Angel. It has some pleasant characteristics, but I feel as if it overwhelms rather than melds with my skin. It is just too pungent for my own personal taste/chemistry. Even a spritz makes me feel like I belong in a brothel. However, EVERYTIME I wear it I get positive comments from men, and I would be lying if I said I only wear scent for myself, so it's good stuff.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Brown Sugar and Fig Body Splash
urbana 9/29/2007 3:39:00 PM
It seems people either love or hate this one and I am not afraid to tout myself as a card carrying member of "team love". I am fickle when it comes to scent and this is really the only one that I find myself reaching for day after day. I have gotten positive comments from both men and women on the scent. I even had someone sniff me and go, "mmmmm that's what a woman should smell like!." To my nose this is a sweet scent that manages to project warm thoughts at the same time. There is a smoky element to the mix as well. These figs and brown sugar were definitely thrown into a fire. That said, I do spray it sparingly and can see why people claim it is pungent. Maybe it isn't full-on incensey or full of expensive spices but it gives me the vibe of hanging out in Greece or Turkey in the fall.

Fragrances -J. Lo - Still
urbana 9/29/2007 3:21:00 PM
To me this smells like Chanel Chance, but less sharp and strong. Despite this it has good staying power. I don't feel it is particularly remarkable, but it straddles the line between mellow and formal perfectly.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Elle
urbana 8/8/2005 4:18:00 PM
I must steal a song line from Disney's Aladdin to encompass the grandur of this gloss. Elle lipglass is, "Shining, Shimmering, Splendid." Yet perhaps more importantly it still manages to be subtle. It's not super frosty and it lacks those obnoxious chuncks of glitter that MAC is notorious for. Instead it is infused with red pearl particles. Since it's basically clear kicked up a notch it's pretty much failproof and would suit most skintones and situations. In other words: I wish they would make this a part of the permanent MAC line.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Stick
urbana 5/11/2005 4:59:00 PM
This is one of the only products I have finished up and repuchased. I am currently on my third tube of this. I use the cocoa butter stick on my lips both in the morning and at night, yet a tube lasts me a year or two. Although I primarily use this as a lip moisturizer it has a myraid of uses. At times i've used it to remove or freshen eye make up, as a moisturizer for dry spots, and on my cuticles. With it's virtually ennumerable uses this stuff is the WD40 of personal grooming products. It will always have a place in my makeup bag.

Blush -L'Oreal - Pinch of Color
urbana 2/3/2005 12:32:00 AM
I have this in blushing and sweet peach and I adore both of them. I agree that they do dry quickly but I don't find it to be a problem. I have very pale lips and these provide a nice natural flush that lasts. I just add coco butter for some shine and to tone them down. Sometimes I also use them as blush or on my eyelids. The only problem I have with the product is the packaging because I am forever worrying that I will accidently knock one over and spill them. However, I do like the brush, which makes it very easy to outline my lips or use them as eyeliner. This is one of the only products in my collection that I can forsee using up.

Lipstick -Urban Decay - Lipstick in Jezebel
urbana 2/3/2005 12:16:00 AM
I agree that this is a very classic true red. I adore both the color and finish this provides. If UD had not discontinued their lipsticks I would probably easily go through a tube of this. However, I only use it occasionaly for fear I may someday find myself without it.

Lipstick -Urban Decay - Gash lipstick
urbana 2/3/2005 12:09:00 AM
Gash is a very metallic candy apple red with slight fushia undertones. When I wear it I feel like my lips resemble the finish of a sexy red car. It looks great contrasted with pale skin and dark hair. Unfortunately it has been discontinued, so I use mine sparingly.

Blush -Milani - Smooth Finish Blush - Luminous
urbana 2/2/2005 11:56:00 PM
This is really a fantastic blush. It is very pigmented and the color (pinky-peach-gold) is suitable for a wide variety of skintones. The only qualm I have with it is that although it is gorgeous the shimmer impedes it from looking natural. However it still remains my favorite and most used blush.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Wet/Dry Shadow in Sandstorm
urbana 12/29/2004 9:11:00 PM
When I saw this Revlon quad on sale for three bucks I just had to pick it up. I'd been lemming the MAC Jet Black palette and the colors in Revlon Sandstorm were pretty similar and much, much cheaper. For drugstore shadows the quality is superb. To boot this quad is very complementary with my coloring (Hazel eyes PPP skin). I don't find this quad too shimmery for everyday wear and pigmentwise it shows up on my lids the same color as it does in the pan. This is definitely a new staple for me.

Fragrances -Clinique - wrappings
urbana 12/27/2004 8:57:00 PM
This is a very potent scent. In the bottle it smells like bug spray, but on skin it smells divine. It reminds me of blue spruces, and lillies and ocean air mixed together with a dash of rose petals and tea. I'm not sure if that is the most accurate description, but I must say I've never smelled anything similar that you can buy in a bottle. It is a very clean rather than seductive scent. It is also one of those scents that makes you feel more awake after spritzing yourself. I have bad allergies to many perfumes and I find that this one doesn't irritate my sinuses in the least. I like the lotion as well. You can only buy this during the holiday season.
