Brows -Laura Mercier - Brow Definer in Warm

This product has no bad reviews or cons from me. The packing is excellent. It comes in a glass jar with a plastic twist and tighten lid, preventing the gel from premature drying. The gel works just as well as the gel in the Benefit Brow Zings, but the pot runs 10$ less than that kit, with twice the amount of product. I want to say this product is waterproof though it doesn't claim that. I wore it to Disneyland's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, as well as in the ocean and both times had my head submerged in water for prolonged periods, and it stayed on. Obviously I didn't rub them, but this product will stay on in 'extreme' conditions. =) I have and will not search for another product for eyebrows. The only thing you need, obviously, is a good eyebrow brush to apply. You can find this at Sephora or Bloomingdales.. Wherever Laura Mercier is sold.

Brows -BeneFit Cosmetics - Brow-Zing in Dark

Love this eye brow kit, for various reasons. Price runs high for just an eyebrow kit, but if you delve further, you will see why. Kit comes with: 1 eyebrow tweezer - have had mine for 3 years and it has not 'dulled' like some tweezers over time. Only con is that it is particularly small so your hands might cramp up from tweezing for too long. 1 eyebrow powder/1 eyebrow gel - If you put just gel alone, you get a very natural look. Add powder over it and the color darkens I want to say by 2 times. This look ends up looking very unnatural if you have on light make-up just for a stroll in the park, so to avoid that I'd use the gel alone. However, a heavy night out clubbing or out in town, the powder helps set the gel and lengthens the wear. 2 eye brow brush applicators - One brush is angled, and you can use it for eyeliners too. The other is flat. Both come in handy for application with either gel or powder. Great quality. Casing is black and has a mirror on the inside so you can do your brows anywhere - subway, park, class =). So you can see that while the price is moderately high, for what you get, it is worth the price. I believe it's around $30 or high 20s. If you use this product and are satisfied with just the gel and have no need for the other accessories it comes with, Laura Mercier has an eyebrow gel pot, that comes in three shades. it runs at only 20$ and has twice the amount of gel product than brow zings, so that can be your other vice.

Mascara -Lancome - Cils Booster

Surprised at the bad reviews. Maybe people are not using it right. Has anybody ever felt that sometimes products tend to work better one or two weeks later? I have this feeling with mascaras and primers. Anyhow -- on with the review: Have been using this primer for 2 years. Results it gives me are thicker, longer lashes and it holds my mascara, preventing it from flaking off. I used to have short lashes but since using this my lashes have gotten noticeably longer, to the point where my best friend recently asked me if I was wearing fake lashes. Some people exaggerate the results but I am not one to do that as I am very critical. Before with other mascaras and without a primer, my lashes would constantly break and I never really achieved full thickness like I did until I used the primer. The science behind it is that it conditions your hair and protects it from the drying effects of just mascara alone on your lashes. Think of it as how hair spray makes your hair stiff, and can result in hair breakage. What if there was a 'hair' primer, where you can spray it on your hair, it protects your hair and adds another layer so upon application of hair spray your hair is not only thicker but also protected because of the extra layer. That's how I can think of describing what the use of a primer does. The only con about this is that it comes at a high price of 21$. The brush is good, I have no complaints. Packaging is good. This is the first and only primer I've ever used, and recently I got a gift from Clinique for their primer which only runs for $14. I will try it and write a review within the next few weeks as my Lancome Cils Booster primer is running low. Overall, great primer and key pros are it has protected my lashes from breaking leading to longer lashes, and adds fullness and length to my mascara.

Eyeliner -MAC - MAC Liquid Liner

I LOVE this formula -- Have been looking for a true to advertised waterproof and smudgeproof eyeliner and this is it. I wore it to Disneyworld's two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.. Was there for 4 hours.. Dunked under in slides and at the 'blizzard pool'.. Stayed on. I also went to the beach and swam, and it stayed on as well. If that's not convincing I don't know what is. I have officially stopped searching and have 5 tubes of this on my shelf.. Just in case! You never know when they discontinue something for some odd reason. Only negative about this is the applicator.. The brush might be great, I think it's just the formula maybe.. It's really thick and tar like which is probably what attributes to the staying quality. I love it though so I overlook this little flaw. Not everything can be perfect.

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Curling Mascara

I use this mascara in conjunction with my Lancome Cils Booster - as I do with all my mascara - so take that into consideration. I found the mascara to be great at lengthening and thickening, also doesn't flake. I loved it upon first application -- I got a sample tube. It's only $14 so that is dirt cheap for a brand name mascara.. I used to use Definicils by Lancome which comes at like $24 a pop.. Only thing I didn't like about the mascara is that it 'chunks' off your eyelashes.. Weird removal results. I'd say that is the only negative thing about this mascara. Kinda removes like a waterproof.
