I'm disappointed in Maybelline for misleading consumers and attempting to falsely advertise with this product. It does not crackle or shred and is horrible, horrible, horrible nail polish. I used it exactly as the directions instruction -- there are no directions on the bottle which makes no sense but rather on their website -- and it did not do a darn thing. It is thin, cheap and looks like someone's nails are smudged or not applied properly and the consistency is very matte like chalk and is unattractive. I've never disliked a nail polish like this before and have never had to return nail polish before this one. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this waste of money. Shame on you Maybelline!

Eye Makeup Remover -Arbonne - Wipe Out Eye Makeup Remover

I have never used an eye make-up remover that has actually burned my skin like this one has and I'm shocked that Arbonne, a company that prides themselves on using only natural ingredients, could put out such a product when it clearly isn't safe for the masses. It irritated the corners of my eyes so badly that they were red for a week after I stopped using it. I've used a plethora of eye make-up removers over several decades, and never has a product burned my eyes like this. I will say that it removed my eye make-up and left little trace of mascara but at a big cost. I wasted money on this product and because of this experience, I will never buy another Arbonne product.

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Daily Protective Lotion for Sensitive Skin SPF 15

I was excited to try this product since it got great reviews and was for sensitive skin but I was kind of disappointed. It has a very watery consistency and is difficult to apply evenly. White patches remain on my skin and it's difficult to rub in. If I need sunscreen I use something much stronger as SPF 15 just isn't enough but I'm glad it's in there. I'll finish the bottle but I won't buy it again. I'm giving it three stars because it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

Masks -Avene - Soothing moisture mask

This mask feels more like lotion than a mask and it starts to evaporate if you leave it on for a long time but it is soothing. I use it when my face starts to get irritated and red and it helps calm the skin. I find I have to use a lot in order to really cover my face so you don't get your money's worth in my opinion but I would still buy it again because I need something to soothe my sensitive skin when it gets irritated.

Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin

I really like this cleanser. It has a soft feel on the skin and I like the gel texture. It is a large bottle and you only need a dab to clean your face so it will last a long time. It cleans make-up fairly well although I'd recommend a scrub and/or toner to follow up to really remove traces of all facial make-up. I have normal/dry/sensitive skin and use this cleanser without any problems. I bought this one in particular so it wouldn't have any oil in it and it's fine for my skin.

Eye Shadow -Arbonne - FYI Eye Q Cream Eye Shadows

I'm extremely disappointed with this eye shadow. I expected more from Arbonne and quite frankly if this is what I can expect from their make-up then I'll never buy make-up from them again. The eye shadow doesn't come with an applicator which is crazy for such an expensive item. I have to apply it about 10 times just so I can see the color and even then, it creases in about an hour (which I don't experience with any other eye shadow brand), and it doesn't last very long. In fact, don't expect the eye shadow to last more than a few hours. This eye shadow is overpriced and didn't perform. I won't be buying it again.

Lotions/ Creams -Sukí - Hand and Body Butter Creme Salve

The smell is horrendous. I can't wear it when I know I'm going to meet people because it's that overwhelming (in a bad way). I hate how you have to grab a chunk (it's like hard wax) then rub it between your hands to get it smooth enough to use on your body. It's not the easiest application and it's time consuming. It does moisturize but it's kind of greasy and overall, I just wasn't impressed. I want a moisturizer that doesn't require a 10 minute application to moisturize my entire body and one that isn't so stinky that I can't go out. I would not purchase this again.

Lip Treatments -Sukí - Suki Naturals Lip Repair Butter

I was extremely disappointed with this product. It's expensive and I thought it would actually do what it claims to do but it does not. It is a thick, wide stick so if you don't have Angelina Jolie lips, it's hard to apply. It does not moisturize my lips at all and it is very matte, which consequently makes my lips feel even more dry. I hate, hate, hate this product and really wish I didn't waste my money buying it. Sure it will last a long time but who cares? It doesn't work. I've never used a lip balm that actually does the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Don't waste your time. P.S. I live in a warm, humid climate and have never had any issues with any other lip balm in terms of moisture so it's definitely a Suki thing.

Concealers -Lancome - Effacernes

Like many others on the MakeupAlley site, I bought this product based on the positive reviews I read. Unfortunately it did not live up to its expectations. I guess if you're young and don't have bad genetics then it's fine but for anyone over 40 with genetically dark circles (or who gets very little sleep), this product isn't a magic worker. It is expensive but most department store products are. The sales woman tried to talk me out of the waterproof version but after she applied the waterproof and the non-waterproof, it was obvious the porcelaine/ivory of the waterproof was a much better match and the non-waterproof version showed a ton of wrinkles I didn't even know I had. At first I was impressed because it brightened the area under my eyes, but like others have said that didn't last long. And the true test is what your eyes look like in photos. Sadly, this concealer didn't make my eyes look any better than drugstore concealer. I'll most likely be returning this product because for the price, it just doesn't live up to its expectations.

Polishes -Zoya - Professional Lacquer

I don't know how on earth anyone would give this brand any positive ratings. This is the worst nail polish. I bought mine at Whole Foods thinking it would be better for my nails and last longer, but I was wrong. It chipped the very next day despite my applying a base coat, two-three color coats, and a top coat. Like others have mentioned, it takes forever to dry and it does dry unevenly. The colors are great, but the product is pure crap. How they manufacturers allowed this product to go on the market is a mystery. It's over-priced and really just something you'll wind up throwing away. I will never, ever even consider throwing my money down the drain with this brand.

Mascara -Neutrogena - Healthy Volume

I'm desperate to find a mascara that actually lengthens and adds volume, but unfortunately this one isn't it. The worst part about Neutrogena's health Volume is that it does NOT come off with regular eye make-up remover. You have to use oily mineral oil based make-up remover to remove this stuff. It's not even the waterproof kind so I was surprised when I attempted to take it off with my normal eye make-up remover. The only way I can get any volume is if I apply several coats and keep the brush against my lashes for at least 15 seconds to 'set' them. And forget about trying to coat your bottom lashes with the big, thick brush. It's nearly impossible and it just winds up all over your eyes. I won't be buying this again, but I'm happy about the fact it doesn't seem to smudge, although a few bits land on my cheek at the end of the day.

Liquid -Almay - Line Smoothing Makeup

I'm pretty sure they mis-labeled this product because it's anything but line smoothing. It's quite the opposite in fact. It is not hydrating and like others have said, it settles into the lines making even small lines look more noticeable. It is very heavy and gloopy and hard to apply because it is so thick, and very hard to get out of the bottle. I think Almay needs to take this off the market and reformuate this foundation. It makes Almay look bad.

Moisturizers -Almay - Anti-aging Night Concentrate

I have extremely sensitive skin and it's getting to be a bit dry because I'm close to 40 so I thought I'd try Almay's anti-aging night concentrate since Nivea Q-10 changed its product slightly and now feels icky on my skin. I thought Almay's Anti-aging Night Concentrate was very emollient when applying it at night - in fact, it makes my skin look very hydrated at first. However, my skin does not feel hydrated when I wake up in the morning. It feels a bit sticky & dry. I'm not breaking out from it but I'm not sure it's doing much of anything. I do like he feel of the cream so I'll continue to use it, and wait until I finish the tube before assessing its anti-aging effects.

Treatments (Eye) -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Eye Brightening Cream

I bought this product because of the Aveeno name and reputation that goes along with being kind to sensitive skin. Because I have such sensitive skin, the strong products that have a tendency to work better are too harsh and cause redness & irritation hence my wanting to try an eye cream by Aveeno. This eye promises big things but doesn't deliver. It seemed to bring out more under eye puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles. On the plus side, it did not irritate my skin but it was truely worthless in every other way. You might as well save your money since you'll be throwing it away otherwise.

Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Lip Butter - Mango

I also had a bad allergic reaction to this product. I broke out in little sores all over my lips and the lip butter also dried them out. I wrote to the Body Shop and sent the product back to them and they refunded my money but I'm shocked that they produced such an inferior product when their Body Butter is awesome! I hope that the Body Shop either takes this product off the shelf and re-works it or just removes the lip butter from their line all together. It poorly reflects their company and it's a shame since they are fabulous. My advice is not to purchase the lip butter but to go for a regular lip balm with shea butter instead.
