Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

This foundation is um... interesting. I absolutely love the texture, and it glides on my skin so smoothly without the help of a face primer. I'd say it's a good medium coverage, I almost barely need concealer (and I have acne scars and a bad skin complexion). It also gave my face a natural glow that doesn't look oily. And the finish is very natural looking. Oh, and my color matched perfectly and I have very light skin so that was a plus. Now.. the reason why I probably wouldn't purchase this product again despite everything that's good about it.. is because it splits apart within atleast 5 hours, and gets SUPER oily looking. Like.. it's pretty bad. If I don't want it splitting apart I really have to pack on the powder which is fine by me, but the less makeup I have to go through, the better. I'd honestly rather put up with a so-so foundation that lasts all day rather than a good one that lasts a couple hours.

I think everyone who's saying the old formula broke them out, just didn't give their skin the proper timing to be able to get use to the product. When your skins not use to different types of chemicals, it freaks out and reacts differently than normal. That's why you need to continue using it to GET use to it. I've done this with numerous wrinkle creams and moisturizers. Anyways I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. My skin is baby smooth, it has spf 15 in it, which keeps it safe from the sun. It's not too greasy so I can wear it under my makeup, IT LASTS, and it evens out my skin tone because of the vitamins E and C which is formulated with antioxidants. My skin is dry so it does an incredible job of keeping it moisturized all day. And personally I've never had problems breaking out with it, and I put two coats of it on. under my wrinkle creams, and over top of them.

Alright where do I begin. I've been using this product for about 2 to 3 months and I'd say I started seeing results within a full month of using it. It takes awhile. Also, this product WILL dry out your skin if you don't use a lot of moisturizer over top of it. Let me just go over some of the things I've noticed while using this product. 1) Within the first week of using it, my skin went into freak mode, and turned red and almost a bit rashy because my skin wasn't used to the chemicals in the product, but over time that completely went away now that my skins use to it. 2) It MAY create pimples, i've seen a few zits pop up where I had put my cream on. But it's nothing a little zit cream can't fix. 3) I use it on my crows feet, forehead lines, and laugh lines. I don't use it directly underneath my eye, because I believe the chemicals are too harsh for that. And about a full month after using it everyday to every other day, I saw results. 4) Now, when I put my wrinkle cream on, I can barely see my laugh lines. I have to smile to be able to see them now. Which is fantastic. My forehead lines are a bit deeper so it's taking longer for those to fade, but I can most certainly see them fading. And as far as my crows feet go, I haven't noticed too big of a change in that, which is odd, so I'm still kind of waiting. 5) I use to use the product on my neck as well, but my neck started getting little bumps on it, which it never did before. So using the cream on my neck is on hold for a little while. Although I did notice fading on my neck as well. 6) This product can either do two things if you don't take care of it: It can either ruin your skin, or heal it. What I mean by ruin is that you HAVE to use deep moisturizers on top, and underneath of the product. If you don't you WILL notice your skin looks even older than before from how dried it will be. I put my moisturizer on first, then my wrinkle cream, then more moisturizer. And don't worry about the cream not being as affective this way, it still works for me, but keep in mind I'm only 19 with fine lines. So all in all, I love it. I see results, and I will be purchasing it again. My skin is literally baby smooth, but it's because I take such good care of it. Moisturizing is key. DO NOT put this product all over the face, unless you have wrinkles in those areas, and you have a good moisturizer. Also, don't try and put this product on your chest either, it won't be a good reaction, and your chest WILL break out. (believe me, I've already tried) Be patient, the time it takes for this product to get use to your skin, and work, will take around a month or two, but it is completely worth the wait. :)

Liquid -L'Oreal - Infallible 16hr foundation

Pro's. 1) Dries very quickly, without sinking into the skin. You don't need to use much powder, which is always a plus. 2) I don't know if 16 hours is how long I'd say it lasts, but it definitely lasts a very long time. Just don't be rubbing on your boyfriend all night like I do. 3) Gives medium to full coverage, and it's buildable. 4) Goes on smooth and creamy, not too heavy, not too light, and not too sheer. (It's pretty perfect) 5) Great packaging, with a pump. Cons 1) When the foundation first dries, It's difficult to apply more foundation because it's almost as if it takes off the foundation you just put on. You have to apply the foundation while wet. 2) This foundation does nottttttt blend well with concelears. What i mean by this, is that it rubs together with the concealer in the wrong way. It starts to come off the skin, and won't blend. 3) If you put too much powder on, the foundation will appear a bit rough on your skin. Not just from the powder, but from the actual foundation. You only need a light amount of powder or else it will counteract with the foundation, making it appear rough. That is all :)
