Moisturizers -Zia - Everyday Moisturizer
rated 2 of 5
twig 7/5/2006 7:31:00 PM

I should have gone with my gut and bought Zia's Ultimate Oil-Free Moisture instead of Everyday Moisture but for some reason I was thinking that since it is for sensitive skin which I most definitley have then it wouldn't cause acne. WRONG! I broke out very badly from this which is so sad because it is truly a good moisturizer I would use it very thinly on a wet face and my face just felt so nice afterward. I do adore Zia products though just not this one I'm buying the Oil Free Moisturizer tomorrow.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

Absolutely the best eyeshadow base that I have ever used. My eyelids are extremely oily and my eyeshadows have always creased no matter what I put on under them. But this little beauty of a product is a miracle worker. No more creasing for me ever! Trust me it works all day long from 7am to 4am no creasing. Please don't discontinue this Urban Decay!!! Only improvement would be to put it in a pot or something it is hard to get every last drop out of this container.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - Special Sauce - Matte
rated 1 of 5

It is very odd for me to not like an Urban Decay Product but Special Sauce in Matte sucks!!! In fact it actually made me more oily than before I used it, and the texture of the product is disgusting it literally feels as if you are rubbing Crisco on your face. So back to Sephora it went and I am still searching for an oil eliminating holy grail. :(

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Lounge Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
twig 12/16/2003 12:44:00 AM

Looks like I have found a new favorite Urban Decay Shadow. Lounge is such an unusual shadow it goes on sort of a light coffee sort of reddish brown with an amazing green sheen to it. The color itself is not nearly as dark as it looks in the pot it goes on much more sheer but the effect it gives from a far is an amazing smokey look. Looks amazing on hazel eyes it really makes them pop. Overall this is just a truly amazing shadow I wish I could find the words to explain it better. So I just suggest trying it.

Blush -Urban Decay - X [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
twig 8/7/2003 4:49:00 AM

I absolutely adore this blush!! Ever since I bought it I have completely ignored every other blush that I own. I was weary about it at first because of the gold shimmer gold never really flatters my porcelion pale skin. But all of the amazing reviews it has gotten I just had to try it and I am so thrilled that I did. This blush is beautiful the gold shimmer is incredibly subtle and it just gives off a beautiful rosy glow. It looks simply amazing on 100 times better than it looks in the pan. I just love it I have to buy triples of it in just case I ever run out or gasp it's discontinued.

Moisturizers -Urban Decay - Guardian Angel Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
twig 7/2/2003 4:36:00 AM

Guardian Angel is the perfect name for this moisturizer because it truly is my Guradian Angel *grin* I use the Oil-Free version and it has truly worked miricles on my complexion. I rarely break out anymore where as before I had at least 4 or 5 at all times on my face. My skin is softer and the tone of my skin is more even and radiant. I can't say enough about it I will never give this moisturizer up! If only you would get more for your money that is the only thing that could be improved. But luckily you don't really need but less than a dime sized amount to moisturize your entire face still more is always nice. :) Another fabulous product from Urban Decay!!

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 5 of 5
twig 7/2/2003 4:24:00 AM

Is it possible to worship a mask? LOL Because Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque has made me start. This mask is amazing it wipes weeks worth of grime and grease from my face in one shot. I feel like I have a brand new face after I use it. Keep in mind this is coming from a girl with super sensitive skin who breaks out in hives on her face from practically anything and everything. This mask just rocks I don't know how else to put it I love the gentle tingle and the smell and the baby soft skin I have after using it. I love using it after a crappy week it just makes you feel like you are starting again. If I could give it one million stars I would. Try It! Seriously Just Try It!!! :)

Lip Gloss -Jane - Megabytes glossy gloss in STOP WINEING
rated 4 of 5
twig 6/7/2003 5:45:00 AM

Well I have good and bad things to say about Megabites Glossy Gloss in Stop Wineing. I'll start with the bad the smell is overpowering, and grrr... I have always detested the smell of mango. So umm.. yeah that kind of sucks. But that aside the color is gorgeous. It looks like a dark wine shade in the tube but it goes on a beautiful muted shiny pink berry it is a sheer color with the perfect amount of tint. I am loving this color it is a color that I have been searching for and was definately not expecting to achieve with this gloss. So that being said I will repurchase this color the scent will just have to be ignored! *grin*

Blush -L'Oreal - Blush Delice in Strawberry Tart [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
twig 6/1/2003 6:52:00 PM

I guess that I should start by mentioning that I am extremely pale with a slight rosy complexion. That being said I adore this blush everything from the packaging to the scent to the beautiful light pink glow it gives your skin. If I could give it a 10 I would, and all of this is being said by a girl who has detested blush her entire life! For a girl with an already rosy face why should I wear blush? It just makes me look like a ran a marathon no point, but Strawberry Tart is different for me with a few lessons in applying blush I learned how to give myself a more defined rosyness but best of all a fabulous pink glow. It matches my natural rosyness perfectly but it just makes it better, the glow it gives is just wonderful I can't say enough about it. I definately would love to try more of these.

Gels/Soaps -Neutrogena - Body Clear Body wash
rated 4 of 5
twig 5/14/2003 9:35:00 PM

I really love Neutrogena's Body Clear Body Wash I have used it for years on my upper body (back, chest, and arms) it does a nice job of keeping your body clear without drying your skin out. I am not a huge fan of the orangey citrus smell, and because of this I have been searching for a better smelling version in another brand. But alas I have found nothing that works as well as Neutrogena's. Believe me everytime that I have strayed to another brand my body has paid me back with a few *disgusting friends* (aka zits) here and there. So I have decided that smell doesn't really matter considering you only really smell it while using it, it doesn't make your body reek of oranges or anything, a perfectly clear body is much more important to me and I promise you Neutrogena I will never stray again. lol!! I promise really I do!!

Powder -Urban Decay - Surreal Skin Foundation
rated 5 of 5
twig 5/14/2003 9:00:00 PM

This review is coming from a girl who absolutely hates the look and feel of makeup on her face, but unfortunately despite that she still needs something with good even coverage to smooth out her skintone and disguise redness. Given the large amount of powder foundations that I have tried everything from MAC, to Cover Girl, Max Factor and Loreal. Urban Decay's Surreal Skin Powder Foundation is the best I have used so far. Apparition #1 is a beautiful match for my porcelion pale skin. It gives a fabulous smooth, and even coverage, looks as if you are wearing nothing yet it truly covers my *imperfections* lol beautifully. I hate the look of powder build up on your face and I have never had this problem with Surreal Skin no matter how much of this product I cake on my face. I choose to use the dry method and I feel it does a nice job of covering whatever needs to be covered with the help of a little concealer here and there, on the truly troublesome areas. Women who need lots of coverage should probably stick to liquid or cream foundations because no matter what brand you use, or what way you use it using a powder foundation will never give you full coverage. I love the adorable silver compact and the lavender sponge it comes with despite the fact that the product is great I love pulling this out of purse because it is just so cute hate to be vain, but who actually likes owning ugly products. This is once again another amazing product from Urban Decay and whenever I run out I will rush over to Sephora and pick up more.

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - XXX Shine Lip Gloss in Love Junkie
rated 5 of 5
twig 5/14/2003 7:57:00 PM

Love Junkie is by far one of my favorite glosses. It tints your lips a beautiful pouty and shiny berry red shade. Perfect amount of stickyness so it stays on a long time. I love the minty tingle it gives, and it just makes my pathetic thin little lips feel, and look huge and pouty. mmm... love my new *kiss me now lips* :) lol! Another winner for Urban Decay!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Baked Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
twig 5/14/2003 7:03:00 PM

Baked is the shinest most metallic coppery bronze shadow that I have ever seen! I absolutely adore it just as I adore every Urban Decay Eye Shadow! Baked is probably one of the most highly pigmented satiny shadows (no glitter just loads of metallic shimmer) in their line. I really love it, it works beautifully for a dramatic yet still natural eye popping look! :) I love to pair Baked with a nice sheer berry red pout like Urban Decay's XXX Shine Gloss in Love Junkie.

Polishes -Maybelline - Wet Shine nail color
rated 2 of 5
twig 5/1/2003 2:42:00 AM

All that I have to say about Wet Shine Nail Polish is that there are far better nail polishes out there. I have this in Pink Splash which is a beautiful shiny pink. The collection has beautiful color choices except for the fact that the polish sucks. It goes on extremely uneven, and gloppy even when using thin coats. Also it takes 3 coats of this stuff to get a relatively smooth fully coated surface, but even then you can still see the streaks running down your nail. Overall I don't mind applying 2 coats, but 3 and it still looks horrible is seriously pushing it. I will not buy these again.

Lipstick -Urban Decay - Naked pleather pencil
rated 2 of 5
twig 4/29/2003 5:37:00 AM

Unfortunately though I adore Urban Decay's Pleather Pencils the color Naked was a huge dissappointment for me. I guess you could say I was expecting a light nude pink color, but instead I got brown with a very very slight cast of pink to it. This was much darker then I was expecting and just not very flattering on my porcelion pale skin. So sad but true this is being returned to Sephora for something more flattering.
