Bronzers -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Bronzer #1
trishouna 11/19/2010 1:31:00 AM
I had already purchased the #5 bronzer, but felt like I needed to own the #1 bronzer since that was the one everyone was raving about. I was super excited to try this product, but I can't seem to get it to show on my face. After reviewing all the positive reviews, seems like most people who love the product have fair skin. I'm #3 in their Face Fabric line, so I think this product is just too light for my skin to show. When brushed on my hand, all I can see is a super super sheer hint of gold, but no color change. For $50, I think In need something with a tad bit more color. This will be going back as I have no use for it. Too bad! I'm still undecided about #5, it shows slightly more. People aren't joking when they say how sheer this product is. I don't know if I have time to build up color every morning with multiple swipes.

Primer/ Corrector -Paul & Joe - Protective Foundation Primer SPF 30
trishouna 6/10/2009 10:30:00 PM
I've tried so many primers and while some do their job, the P&J primer alone instantly makes my skin look amazing! Once I apply this, I get this beautiful glow and my skin looks more even, almost read to go with just a touch of powder. In addition to the brightening effect, it also keeps my makeup fresh up to 12+ hours. Awesome! And you gotta love that it has great sunscreen project. This is definitely a HG item and will always be an essential in my makeup bag.

Fragrances -Diptyque - L Ombre Dans L Eau
trishouna 10/3/2003 3:06:00 AM
fabulous fragrance to wear as we head into fall. the fragrance is sweeten by fruity currants, but the sweetness is toned down by the green herbal scent and the bulgarian roses just rounds it out into the most lovely scent. its such a pleasure so smell a whiff of myself every so often, it makes me smile. its the best thing when you find a fragrance you love AND it last!

Scrubs -Origins - Incredible Spreadable Scrub
trishouna 8/1/2003 5:13:00 PM
this is the most amazing scrub! it really is kinda incredible like its name. unlike most scrubs out there, they make a greasy greasy mess in the shower and half of the sugar falls off your body before you even actually do any scrubbing and they leave you with an oil slick on you body. THIS scrub on the otherhand is thick and gelly (almost a jam like consistency), but moves around nicely and is gentle enough that it doesn't hurt, but gives you a good rub down. the granules are kinda round too, so its not as "scratchy". and the BEST part is when you wash it off, your skin is so soft and smells like the most amazing ginger-citrus fragrance... and not oily!the fragrance itself is so relaxing...very chi chi spa-like. the only drawback is the price, $25 for 8oz. ekk! oh,well...its darn good and i deserve it! i think they're having promos right now, so you can probably get a sample of it to try. oh, and they have a minty one too, but that's kinda 'eh, to me at least.

Fragrances -Jo Malone - Amber Lavender
trishouna 7/27/2003 10:55:00 PM
I absolutely love this fragrance! I bought it especially to wear before going to bed. There's something about the scent that helps me fall asleep, probably the lavender and the warmth from the amber. It feels like having a luxurious cashmere throw over your body when wearing Amber Lavender! This would be especially nice to wear in the cooler months of the year as well. The body creme is nice too, but a lot softer. Both last incredibly long.

Candles -Tocca - Candle in Stella
trishouna 7/14/2003 5:48:00 PM
i'm onto my 3rd tocca candle this month. i was looking for something a little bit less sweet and more refreshing. Stella seemed to fit the bill. It smells lovely up close, but for some reason, the throw isn't nearly as strong as Kyoto & Grace. But when i do get a whiff of it here and there, i smell the juiciness of the oranges and a tinge of tartness as well. would love it if i could smell it better!

Candles -Tocca - Candle in Kyoto
trishouna 7/6/2003 2:12:00 AM
i'm in love! i will eventually own the entire Tocca candle selection, or at least most of them. they are absolutely addictive! while they are expensive, they are a tad cheaper than some other high end candles and totally worth the price. kyoto reminds is a warm soft apricot scent that permeates my living room without being too strong or heavy, the scent gently lingers throughout the room catching whiffs of it here and there. if you're looking for a scent similiar to the osmanthus flowers, this is pretty close in my opinion! i'm SO happy to have a recreation of the osmanthus scent ... its heavenly! my obsession is finally fulfilled. :) now i need a lotion & fragrance to match.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Gardenia Lily body splash
trishouna 6/11/2003 3:49:00 PM
i've recently became a fan of gardenia since discovering Marc Jacob's perfume. i usually find gardenia's fragrances too be strong and heavy for my taste. While Gardenia Lily isn't an exact dup. of MJ's fragrance, it is similiar in its watery gardenia scent. its smells very light and refreshing and its perfect to wear in the day. i also like that the scent isn't overcomplicated with all sorts of weird smells. an excellent light floral!

Gels/Soaps -Fresh - Sugar lychee soap
trishouna 6/11/2003 12:22:00 PM
this is a lovely bar soap that feels incredibly creamy and lathers nicely. the scent is very delicate and soft, but definitely doesn't smell anything like real lychee. actually its a slightly fruity ivory soap to me. i think next time, i'll get the lemon scented one. but overall, its wonderful!

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - NOT 2grrls, FRILLS Pineapple Sugar Scrub
trishouna 6/5/2003 12:08:00 AM
this stuff is probably the most awful bath product i've ever come across!!!!! when you first use it, it actually seems like it'd be a nice scrub. its thick and so the scrub actually allows for a thorough exfoliation. the problem starts when you try to wash this stuff off. it is absolutely awful!!! its like i dipped myself in lard 10 times. trying to wash it off was impossible. i literally had to use dish washing soap to try to take off the layer of grease and even that was troublesome!! i don't know what they were thinking when they put this stuff out. doesn't they test this stuff first? my goodness!! absolute junk!

Liquid -Sonia Kashuk - Hydro-Tint SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
trishouna 5/31/2003 3:38:00 AM
was hoping this would be a cheaper alternative to my BB tinted moisturizer ... but unfortunately it didn't work out. first of all, i was kinda annoyed with the lack of control with the pump. the "no scent" smell kinda stunk and wasn't exactly pleasant. and lastly, the color was a big off. i went for the medium figuring i should be ok, but it leaves an ashy cast on my skin. i don't get it, i'm a BB light, so i would imagine medium would be just right! go figure. i'll stick to my BB tm, that gives me perfect skin, and goes on a lot better & smells better.

Blush -Sonia Kashuk - Cheek Sheers sundrenched 01
trishouna 5/21/2003 5:17:00 PM
i've been wanting a gel blush, but the price of them are SO expensive! then one day i wonder into target and find this darling little chubby tube from sonia kashuk's line. i wasn't too sure about the color as it looked a bit brownish red in the tube. but once i put it on, it imparts the most fabulous pinkish bronze color to my cheeks. it blends so easily and it actually last for a good while. best of all, its only $7.99! A good deal compared to Stila & Tarte's price.

Fragrances -Jo Malone - Orange Blossom
trishouna 4/29/2003 9:39:00 PM
I had fallen in love with this JM scent when i sampled it in April. It smells just as heavenly and real as a tree full of orange blossoms! In addition to the orange blossom, there is a slight hint of tea, maybe jasamine like the other reviewer said, but i just know it has a "tea" scent to it. The fragrance is light, fresh and pretty. Perfect for spring & summer when you want a refreshing scent. only thing is it doesn't last very long on me.

Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Moisturizer [REFORMULATED]
trishouna 4/24/2003 3:23:00 AM
Looove this! I don't know why i waited so long to try this. I've tried all sorts of foundation and still never achieved the skin i wanted. Foundations always seem to sit on the surface and don't quite blend into my skin. But when i applied the BB tinted moisturizer, i'm left with the most amazing skin. It looks healthy, radiant & natural. Best of all, it looks like my own skin. Its the best feeling when you find the product that does EXACTLY what you want it to.
