Hair -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan Oil Hair Serum

I bought this product because of its impressive ingredients list. I love using Moroccan Hair Oil on my hair for the added moisture and shine it gives me. I assumed that this would be even better--it is organic, vegan, formulated without parabens and not tested on animals. That, plus the pretty packaging, makes it appealing to me. I loved the packaging. It has a pump. I have very thick, wavy hair and I need 3 pumps worth of product to sufficiently coat my ends. It also has a very pleasant scent which is not as strong as the scent of Moroccan Hair Oil. However, it did not seem to help with my frizzy, dry hair at all! It did not seem to add very much moisture or shine. My guess is that it would be much better for hair that is not dry and ravaged by winter weather. I do not dye my hair but I do use heat styling products once or twice a week. It is a nice serum, but I am going to stick with Moroccan Hair Oil.
Blush -Make Up For Ever - HD Microfinish Blush in #4 Walk of Shame

This is the nicest liquid blush I have ever tried. It is in a pump dispenser, and one pump is more than enough for both cheeks. It's bordering on wasteful. It lasts several hours. I apply it with my fingers, doing three dots on the cheekbones and blending it in. I have not yet tried using powder on top to see if that makes it last longer. The look is very natural. I am not someone who usually.wears blush without a foundation base underneath but this product makes it easy to do so. It's a very fresh, pretty look. The color is a true baby pink. It looks great on my NC25ish skin.
Like all Liquidlast liners, the wear on this is unbelievable. The color is very neutral, and I use it as an inner-eye/tear duct highlighter. It's my HG for brightening up my eyes and making me look awake. It works with any eye look. I know people hate the brush, but I generally don't mind it. For the inner eye, I use the brush to paint a < shape and then smudge it with my fingers into the lid and below the brow bone. So easy!
Although this is a lustre, it doesn't live up to that finish's reputation for being sheer and bland. It's an eye-popping bright coral that makes me happy to look at in the mirror. The name is a little misleading. There really isn't much red in this, but it's a great color!
Lip Gloss -Lipstick Queen - Big Bang Illusion Gloss

I love the texture of these glosses. They are so smooth, lightweight and comfortable to wear. The shea butter that they contain is really evident, as they are very moisturizing. They come in a plastic tube with a small doe-foot wand applicator. Each tube contains .37 oz of product which is very generous! It works out to about $54 an ounce which is very cheap when compared to other high end lipglosses. Although these glosses don't have much discernable plumping power, that would never deter me from buying another. I own Energy [a true, very pigmented red] and Creation [a gorgeous rose]. I would definitely re-purchase and plan on checking out more colors soon!
One sniff of this will take me right back to 8th grade. Several years later, and I often find myself going back to this scent. Ah, it is so nice and unoffensive. Lots of happy memories for me.
Eye Makeup Remover -Revlon - eye makeup remover pen
trendoid 1/31/2009 6:24:00 PM
This is a must-have for any makeup bag. Perfect for if you smear your eyeliner, mess up your mascara, etc. And since it's just a little pen, you can keep it in your purse and use it for emergencies! I get it when Revlon is BOGOF, because otherwise you could just put a QTip in your eye makeup remover.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss (general)
trendoid 1/31/2009 6:12:00 PM
These are the best drugstore lipglosses out there, in my opinion. Great range of colors, easy accessible and often available on sale! The tube is cute, too. Small enough to fit in my pocket. The gold strip reminds me of my beloved Glossimers, but it's shorter and chubbier.
Eyeliner -MAC - Penultimate Eye Liner - Rapidblack

I suck at applying eyeliner. Liquid is the hardest! But after someone on the boards said "it was so easy to use they could get a straight line even if they were drunk"? I had no choice but to go snag one. It makes a very nice subtle wing. When I swatched it on my hand at the mac store, it seemed very black. But it doesn't on my lids. It should be blacker, imo. I would love if they released this in more colors. EDITED: I had to take one lippie off because the lasting power of this is not as good as I expected. It faded after a few hours.
I love the color of this blush--it makes my NC25ish skin look really alive and fresh. However, it is so soft! I knocked it over and lost a huge chunk. I would buy it again and use it for day looks very often, but the breakage did bother me.
I love this kabuki and plan on buying another as soon as I see it at my drugstore again. It's sleek packaging, easy to use and made of synthetic bristles. I paid about $7USD. Much more affordable than the Too Faced Retractable Kabuki and just as good!
This is the best foundation in my arsenal. HG material. I stray sometimes, or use tinted moisturizer but afterwards, I always look in the mirror and wish I'd used my TI. It has a subtle glow to it that highlights my cheekbones, very nicely sheer but buildable coverage and has never caused any breakouts or clogged pores, for me. I know some people have issues with the packaging: it comes in an elegant little jar. You can't put your fingers in or pump it out: you have to turn it over and tap the bottom for product to come out. I do like pumps, but I actually think this is pretty easy and sanitary. I just tap it onto my foundation brush and voila!
Pressed Powders -Chanel - Poudre Douce Almond Powder
trendoid 12/23/2008 11:32:00 PM
The absolute best pressed powder. It has the most subtle shimmer--just enough to catch the light and make you look extra beautiful. This is perfect on me, for reference I wear 0.8 gentle ivory in TI foundation.
For any girl who loves a bold lip or even just a basic MLBB lipstick, this is a must-have in the arsenal. It is, in my honest opinion, as important as an eyeshadow or foundation primer. If not more so, because it helps eliminate all those issues that give lip products a bad name. It cuts down on fading, no feathering, and no drying. I could go on and on, but basically this is a holy grail item for me that I can't live without. As for the packaging, why can't all black basic MAC stuff have glitter, too? Just goes to show you how special it is.
Highlighters -Yves Saint Laurent - The Bow Collection - Touche D'Or

I am so in love with this and hope they make it perm. It is the perfect highlighter. When you think gold, you don't think neutral or subtle. This is both!
