Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent - Teint Touche Eclat Foundation
tranlily 5/17/2013 9:33:00 PM
This foundation looks absolutely beautiful on. That is, until after an hour or so and then your t-zone is crazy shine. Being on the dry skin side, I don't usually have a huge t-zone oil issue, but this definitely made me shiny. I also felt like I was wearing a mask - regardless of the application technique. Beauty blender sponge, brush, fingers -- I still felt like I was wearing a mask. Not a huge fan.

Blush -La Femme - Glow On Rouge Nectar Peach

I've tried many different blushes, even Chanel's... and I must say, this is my GO-TO for an effortless nude look. It looks dull in the pan, but it really lights up your face. I'm MAC NC20 for reference.

Treatments -DermOrganic - Leave In Treatment with Argan Oil

I love this product. Makes my fine, over processed hair feel smooth when I blow it out. I tend to keep it away from roots as it can weigh it down a little if you use too much near roots. As with any product. One of my faves- trust me, I've tried a LOT of salon products!

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Airflash
tranlily 5/14/2013 1:19:00 PM
I went to one of the few DIOR Beauty counters - the whole shop is a beauty counter in Las Vegas. The SA put this on me. I was happy to purchase it because I had heard so many good things about it, but never got around to it. Anyway, it gives you a nice "made up" look. I sprayed it in the Z pattern and blended it on my face. I definitely look like I'm wearing makeup when I spray this on my face. I haven't tried photographing with it on. For the price tag, there are many better alternative options IMO. My top 2 foundations right now are Armani LSF and MUFE HD. I just picked up Koh Gen Do Manfianshi (?) fdtn and have yet to try it. So many things to try, so little $$!!

Concealers -Cinema Secrets - Foundation/concealer
tranlily 1/24/2012 1:51:00 AM
Best concealer I've used, and I've tried my fair share of HE concealers! I also use this around my nose area as it has some darkness around it. Because it is more pigmented and more creamy, it can accentuate dry patches. For ref. I'm an NC20-25 with yellow undertones. I use PS507-45. EDIT: i will say that the color above has slightly more pink undertone, even though i'm more golden. it's not too much pink where it looks bad. i wear it because it helps offset the greenish/purplish dark undereye area. if i used a yellow i would probably look more sallow and greenish in the undereye area.

Liquid -Jane Iredale - Liquid Minerals
tranlily 4/4/2011 12:11:00 AM
I do not like this foundation. The consistency came out as a mousse and went on a little thick. I just tried this again after not using it for a while, and it is clogging my pores as we speak. Heading to the sink after writing this review. I also used this on my friend for her wedding makeup without testing it first :( and midday it was separating on her face and started looking blotchy. We had to go wash her face and put her Bare Minerals foundation on instead, as that was all we had with us! Terrible. Given that there are no preservatives, parabens, etc etc... this will probably go bad pretty quickly.

Polishes -Essie - Topless & Barefoot
tranlily 2/25/2011 10:20:00 PM
Picked this up today along with Sand Tropez. Topless & Barefoot is a warm/neutral nude. I love this color and have been looking for this sort of color w this opaqueness for quite some time. The color is great. Application is a little difficult - agreeing with the other reviewer. Essie has beautiful colors but application is not so great... On a related note: Sand Tropez was a cooler/ashy taupe color. Hated this on my NC20 skintone. Can't imagine it would look good on anyone elses hand either. edit: i love this color but it is SO difficult to apply. second time i used it it was all crazy blotchy.

This is my favorite OPI Polish!! Everytime I attempt to pick something new at the salon, I end up picking this one based on what I like. I have it at home too and it is a dream to apply! Hot hot hot!

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Hydra-Renewal Continuous Moisture Cream
tranlily 4/9/2010 12:29:00 AM
So far so good. I have been using Clarins for years while trying other high end products, yet still had problems with dry skin and flakiness. Even with La Mer.. it would be too much or too dry, odd. Whenever I went to the beauty counter at Nordstrom, the Clarins lady would say... "You need to exfoliate and moisturize." I'm thinking... (I did exfoliate, wtf.. and I'm wearing Clarins moisturizer ughh). I'd then pick up a different product either from that counter or another line, e.g. Dior HydrAction Serum. It served me OK but my face would get flakey and skin dry and crusty at times. Thought I'd give it a pass at a drugstore product since my situation was nearly hopeless. It had been a while since the last time I used a DS product, it sorta irritated my skin. I picked this L'Oreal Hydra-Renewal moisturizer up at Wal-Mart and really liked the $7 price tag and the description seemed to fit what I needed. I think I hit the jackpot!! This goes on nice and smoothly, though it does look a little greasy/shiny... I wear foundation over it, so it doesn't matter. It didn't burn or break me out, which I was thrilled about since I have pretty sensitive skin. For example, Olay Sensitive Skin cream burns a little bit when I put it on. Even Bobbi Brown night cream. But this - this cream is not so thick but it seems to moisturize my face well. I can even wear makeup without having it flake on me, which is amazing. I do notice that the pores on my nose are a little clogged, but probably nothing my Clarisonic and face masks couldn't remedy. I'll update if anything changes. I also purchased Neutrogena Intensified Day Moisture SPF 15 for sunscreen.

I used this a few years ago and my hair felt coated like cheap silicone filled conditioners would. Afraid to try it again.

Conditioner -Pureology - INSTANT REPAIR LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER
tranlily 2/17/2010 3:31:00 AM
I love Pureology products but this was a disappointment. I have over-processed lightened hair that is in need of major moisturizing, so I tried this. As soon as I put it in, my hair felt really dry.. but I figured maybe it was because I also used Pureology Styling Lotion (which was also a new purchase). Tried it again this second night leaving out the styling lotion and it is definitely this... it made my hair so DRY and FRIZZY that I had to add some Dermorganic Argan oil (love) to tame it.

Conditioner -Aquage - Healing Conditioner
tranlily 2/16/2010 5:06:00 PM
I used this after clarifying with Kenra Clarifying Shampoo and it was not enough moisture. My hair still felt dry. I feel like this is better as a daily or every-other-wash conditioner rather than a 'healer' or any sort of 'deep conditioning' treatment. **Edit: Adding another lippie because while I would not use this after clarifying, it is a really good twice a week conditioner!

Treatments -Joico - K-Pak Intense Hydrator
tranlily 2/9/2010 2:51:00 AM
This saved my hair! I walked out of the salon a few days ago with my hair feeling like straw from having all-over foil from dark brown to blond. My hair was already previously damaged from bleaching and coloring prior. I've had this product for a year and not sure why I stopped using it, but I always turn to it after some intense hair bleach processing... It really brought my hair back to life. It's still not perfectly healthy but but it's in WAY better shape, and I'm confident that if I keep using this my hair somewhat return to it's original health :)

Foundations -Giorgio Armani - Face Fabric Second Skin Nude Makeup
tranlily 2/4/2010 2:17:00 AM
I have really dry skin so it looks a little flakey on me. It feels great putting it on though, so I could see how this would work really well for others with combo or normal skin. I'll try using it in the summertime when my skin is not flaking nor peeling like it is now.

This was a terrible cream/moisturizer? It smelled good, but that's about it... and I can see how it would eventually become overwhelming. My bf was duped into buying this from some salesperson on his travels. I guess I'll use it for my neck
