Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Cabo Coral
rated 4 of 5

Overall, I think this works amazing as blush. Its looks very nature. It reminds me of that glow you get when you workout but without the sweat! I do consider this my HG blush product. It also stays on me for awhile, at least 8 hours. Application is also easy. I just use my fingers because it's so easy to manipulate within the first few minutes and then it dries. I only like Cabo Coral. It fits my skin tone. I am asian on the tanner side. I did try all the colors, but none of the others work for me so definitely try the colors at the counter first. Since everyone has different tones on their skin, the color doesn't look like it does in the pot as it does on your cheeks. The only reason why I give it a four is because it says it works for lips too but doesn't. For me, it actually makes my lip drier. If you ever used chanel's ultrawear lipcolor, it's like wearing that without the gloss.

Eyes -Urban Decay - Best of Urban Set

I got all 4 products for only $15.99 at Ulta in this set I love it and for the price it's a deal! You get a full size eyeshadow in half-baked and heavy metal liquid eyeliner in baked. You also get half a size of eyeliner in bourbon and 1/3 size of primer potion. A pretty good deal if you ask me!!! The liquid eyeliner alone is $18 and the eyeshadow goes for $16! Now about the products: I love them! The eyeshadow goes on smooth and no creases. The primer potion is awesome and a must have for everyone. The eyeliner in bourbon stays on pretty well (although the chemistry of my skin is pretty anti any eyeliner during summer so slight smudging after a long day is WONDERFUL!). The only product that I like but have really no practical use for is the heavy metal liquid liner. I'm unsure how to use it because it's a little tacky being the fact that it's so glittery! (in a business and work sense of way). I have to admit though for being glitter, it sure has staying power! It stays on pretty well for being glitter but yeh sure enough a little piece of glitter went into my eye and made is itchy. But to be fair, any glitter product would eventually get into your eye so you should know this already when putting it on. However, I can't think of why I would use the glitter eyeliner again because it doesn't work for everyday but for maybe on halloween, a party, or at the club.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Rich Cream Crayon in Perfectionist
rated 5 of 5

I love this eyeliner. So far this is my HG of all eyeliners. It's quite interesting because L'oreal in general has carried two of my favorite HG products for eyes. I must warn you though, that you have to work with this eyeliner quickly. If not then it doesn't look as good so you have to be patient and practice. If you are good with makeup than I assume this will be easy for you. This eyeliner stays on all day for me. It is a little harder to remove which is a bit annoying but what I do it dip a q-tip in my eye makeup remover. Then I dab it and swipe. You have to rub a little to remove it but it's worth it. Forget smears, raccoon eyes, and crying is permitted!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes
rated 5 of 5

This is definitely the HG of all mascaras! I've been testing it out by wearing it early in the morning and it stayed on ALL DAY! So I got excited and decided to wear it to bed and when I woke up the next morning my eyelashes were just as the were when I had applied it. No flakes or smudges for real! The mascara also looks super natural. This is by far the best mascara I've ever used. I've tried expensive mascaras from Chanel, YSL, benefit, ...you name it. None of them work as good as this mascara! I got mine for $10.99. Sounds a little bit much but it's worth it and you get a lot of mascara! Cleans really easily also. I let the warm water from the shower soak my face and body. Then I was able to gently remove the mascara with my fingers. I have short lashes but now I have super long lashes. They honestly look natural too. No clumps or gross spidery lashes, it just looks as if I was born with long lashes and I applied a little bit of mascara to hold the curls. Just the mere fact that it doesn't clump, flake, or smudge makes it a great product but to also give me beautiful lashes makes it the HG of all mascaras! Trust me, for the price and how well it works you won't be disappointed!

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Babecake eyeliner [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
trammaz 12/1/2007 4:17:00 PM

Babecake eyeliner by Benefits is wonderful!! The duo colors of course will work on anyone since it is black and brown. I use it wet and the eyeliner stays put and barely bleeds (usually it doesn't but we all have our days when our skin likes to change on us). The packaging is very slick, with a little mirror, and I think it is a perfectly sized. Althought I want to give it a 4 the only reason why I'm giving it a 3 is because it breaks too easily. I already brought two of these babecakes already but that also tells you how much I love it to buy it again! However, I realize you don't need to carry it around with you unless you are traveling because it lasts all day! How I use mine is I use the brown and black dry on top of my lids and use the black color wet on the bottom. Like I said before, it lasts on me all day! I do wish it was a little bit darker. I'm still looking for the perfect liner out there. I would recommend that you don't wet your brush too much. If your brush is too wet then the cake soaks up the moisture and becomes more fragile in the long run which makes it more prone to breaking.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Eye Shadow

I was drawn to MAC due to the hype and raving I heard from other consumers. The first one I brought I ended up not liking but I still went ahead and brought another one to give it another try since I needed a bright blue color. To my dismay, I found myself not caring much for MAC. MAC definitely has a lot of colors however a lot of other brands are starting to come out with extreme colors also and in better quality. I'm a big fan of Nars, YSL, Lancome, and Chanel since they all have eyeshadows that blend very well and feel light. MAC feels a little heavier on my eyelids then the other brands and some colors crumble. However, the biggest problem is that I notice that MAC actually bleeds and fades even with the base. It just doesn't last long enough. What I do notice that is good about MAC is that they hire great make-up artists that really know how to put on makeup well. All the makeup artists that I know can put cheap eyeshadows that are $2 a pot and make you look fabulous for a photo but that doesn't mean the eyeshadows are going to last. I wouldn't buy MAC again. I think the pigment is pretty but the quality isn't better than NYC. I give it a two because of their wonderful make-up artists that work there and their packaging! However, I say save your money, and buy something that lasts on your eye lids. If you want unique eyeshadow colors, I recommend paying a few extra dollars and buy NARS or Makeup Forever Brand because the colors don't make your lids feel heavy and they do not crumble. *little side note* Personally, I had to use base to make sure MAC stays more put. I notice high quality eyeshadows like YSL and Lancome look and feel good even without putting on base (alone even!) so it saves you a step if you are in a hurry.
