Skincare - Face -Equate - Proactiv knock-off system

I am so thankful for Makeupalley. It was because of MUA that I decided to try Proactiv five years ago, and when it broke me out, it was because of reading reviews here that I decided to try just the repairing lotion, which cleared my skin up. After about four years I was growing tired of the lotion. The fact that you had to buy the entire system from Proactiv. I had been buying the lotion on the Bay, but that was iffy. People were selling expired bottles, over charging.. It was just a pain in the butt. I had put off buying a new bottle and was sporadically using a bottle that expired 3 months ago. I've been in Walmart many times and never noticed this Equate system, which looks almost identical to the Proactiv system. AND, they sell the items as a set or individually for about $4 a bottle. So I purchased the toner and the repairing lotion and after two days my skin is looking great again! Proactiv was the ONLY thing that worked on my skin--everything else broke me out. This system works just as well, is half the price and easy to find. I'm amazed and VERY pleased that I can now buy everything I need for my skin by driving ten minutes from my house. And I never would have known about this if it weren't for this site, so thank you!

I love this body mist! I bought this for $2 at Payless (150 ml) and can't believe how much I love it. It is the perfect blend of blackberry and honey. Not too sweet, neither overpowering the other, but both detectable. I have searched for a good berry scent for years and can't believe I found the perfect one at Payless! The honey is beautiful too--this is what I expected, but didn't get from L'Occitane's Honey Gentle Water. Not perfumey at all, just a light and sweet berry honey. I've had soooo many people tell me I smell good. So glad I found this. Went back and bought a second one!
I had to say Yes, I would buy this again (even though I didn't buy it the first time). I am one who loves the scent of vanilla, but have never felt the need to own more than a couple. I've never smelled one that stood out too much from the rest. All very pleasant--some more or less than others--but still, it's just vanilla. THIS vanilla is different. I smell all the notes, blended beautifully, yet individually noticeable. No one will ask who smells like a cookie when you enter the room. This is really lovely. Smells similar to Bois d'Armenie. If I could afford to buy a bottle, I would.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Sweet Pea Limited Edition Eau de Parfum (EDP)

I got this perfume, honestly, not expecting much. I tried Sweet Pea products years ago. Liked the lotion, hated the body mist--it was sickly sweet and nauseating. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I sprayed this on. Much, much nicer than the body mist. Delicately sweet fruity floral that, in my opinion, is much nicer than the majority of fruity florals. I am really loving this. Definitely smell the apple and the sweet pea. Really nice. Great silage and lasting. I finally found the perfect summer scent!
I've had my large sample of this fragrance for about 6 years, never bothering to sample it, assuming I wouldn't like it. Just tried it tonight and I really like it. Very pretty jasmine scent, lightly sweetened by a beautiful, but very subtle blood orange note. Perfect for summer and I would definitely buy this. And as for the review below that compares this to D&G Light Blue, I respectfully, yet totally disagree. I despise Light Blue. The only similarity is that both fragrances have a prominent citrus note.

Smells exactly like the original NYC on me, which I like, but already own. On the bottle I smell a little coconut, but on me it's nonexistent.

This is a lovely creamy, tropical coconut scent. Salty sea air and sweet coconut, accompanied by light gardenia and the most delicious, light vanilla. Tiny bit of banana, but very well blended. Long lasting too. This is one of the few scents that just gets better and better as the day goes on. I couldn't keep my nose away from my skin. Absolutely delicious!
My experience was identical to Tori67's. Great tropical opening, followed by a cigarette drydown!
Oddly enough, I get nothing fruity or tropical in this. Soooo disappointed. All I've smelled is a musky, drugstore vanilla. Tenacious stufff too. Still hanging on, ten hours later, even after I tried to scrub it off. My six year old said I smelled really good though.

This product is awful! I found a container of this at T.J. Maxx for about $5 and was taken in by the cute packaging (it reminded me of LUSH). So I bought this unsniffed. The packaging is made to ensure that you can't open it before you buy it, and now I know why. Got to my car and opened my new body butter and whoooa, yuck! Smells like mint flavored Pepto Bismol. Really nasty, but I decided to give it a try anyway hoping it might be a good butter. Wrong again! I put it on my foot so I wouldn't have to smell it and, wow, what an awful body butter. It didn't absorb well at all, and my foot felt hard and waxy. And man does it stink! I mean this stuff is reeeally awful. First product I have ever chucked right into the trash. Consider yourself warned...
I am really surprised by the fragrances in the GapBody line. After trying So Pink and Om, I had given up on GAP a loong time ago. But when I saw the GapBody line and the adorable packaging, I was sold. I bought this one, White Amber and Velvet Blossom, all unsniffed and, so far, this and the WA smell like quality fragrances (haven't tried the Velvet Blossom yet). The coconut in this is very green (a little greener than I'd like) and the tuberose is light and mildly sweet. The combination of the two mixes well and is really beautiful. This smells like a high-end beach scent--no suntan lotion smells here. Light, tropical. The tuberose is absolutely beautiful. Really lovely.
Wow, I *love* this! It is a beautiful blend of bergamot and amber, which are mainly what my nose picks up. Really lovely. At first spray it reminds me of Om, which scared me because I didn't care for that one. But this one is a little lighter and a little sweeter, without being too sweet. Similar also to YR Voile D'Amber, but not as sweet. Very subtle. Love the clean packaging too. Picked up the 3.4 oz. bottle for $7.99 at TJ MAXX.
I would write a review, but I couldn't put it any better than llawlor's review below. That was my experience exactly.
I have no idea why this fragrance came and went so fast, but I'm glad I found a couple of bottles. B&BW came out with these great sounding signature scents like Vanilla Woods, Chai Anise, Wildflower Tea, Lemon Watermint, Creamy Fig Nectar, Indian Vetyver, and they all disappeared before anyone even heard of them! What's up with that? Anyway, this is a great everyday scent, perfect for jeans and a t-shirt, for when you want to smell good without smelling 'perfumey'. It smells a little like Lostmarch Lann-Ael, but not so tooth-achingly sweet. A much more clean and subtle, woody vanilla. I was a little concerned that this would be a copy of B&BW Warm Vanilla Sugar, but not even close. I would never even have guessed this was a B&BW scent! Not terribly sophisticated, but much nicer than anything else of theirs. Really nice fragrance. I rarely get compliments on my perfume, but I had three people tell me how good I smelled today! I really like this one. It's great for layering too. I wore this over a nice tropical lotion last week on a warm day and smelled heavenly! This is a definite keeper. Maybe I need a third bottle?
I smell delicious. This is a soft, smooth, feminine, slightly powdery (in a very good way), subtle amber fragrance. I get nothing bestial. Just soft, gentle wafts of the most delicious amber I've ever smelled. My husband loves it on me too.
