Horrible formula(watery),applicator (stiff) and price (because it's WORTHLESS)-pun intended. I bought it at my local grocery store and I should've bought more veggies/fruit-so shame on me!
I love his talent-BUTTHIS stuff is not for me--my husband said it was OK-whatever that means...he was not as enthusiastic as he was with my last fabulous choice-Andy Tauer Maroc Rose-he loved that. But this is off the beaten path like McQueen's first fragrance-different,not in a good way FOR ME.
Other -Unlisted Brand - New Beauty Testtube Program
tpiescott 9/11/2007 3:55:00 PM
New info since this was posted from NEW BEAUTY MAGAZINE's TEST TUBE PROGRAM: Under renewed management as of SEP 2007--Let's see what happens! Part I: No product and unexplained price hike-- I have been a member since 2006, at first the test tube was $25.00 w/s&h=$31.95--OK? So after the 3rd shipment the quarterly delivered parcel (which was GREAT, by the way) starts coming long after my card was charged (it says up to 4 wks, but you kind of get used to good service), then they just outright LIE when you call customer service(so- called customercare emails are answered with "It's on the way")-the toll free 1-800-phone number has been cut off, I was charged an EXTRA $8.95 with NO EXPLANATION and that was on 15AUG07 and have e-mailed customer svc and called. I have received NOTHING this quarter. I searched the web and found a beauty blog where others have been shabbily treated by SANDOZ MEDIA. Please check out this blog (www.bitbythebeautybug.com) for at least 24 comments about this product--It was a great idea gone WRONG. I have cancelled my membership and they better not charge me again -I have contacted them and will be changing my credit card number to ensure this. Part II: After this scathing review, I found a contact number for the CEO of this company,on bit by the beautybug.com( I love blogs--they are TRULY helpful to us regular people)-anyhoo, Here's what happened, I called Mr Scott Yablon and told him of the distress of us customers and I called the NEWLY RESTORED customer service number and was told THE TRUTH and I emailed him and he replied immediately--this guy is trying to turn things around--He seems DECENT so, I think I'll wait and see what happens after this next shipment--I was told It has not shipped yet. If you are having problems try the 1866NEWBEAUTY number and this time you will get a renewed zest for customer service--Let's wait and see. OKAY, Ladies!?
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - People of the Labyrinths A MAZE
tpiescott 3/19/2007 11:07:00 AM
I agree with the 2 reviews I've read, not special enough for the price. Some men seem to like it, it's was on me for a while--I hugged a friend and he seemed transformed after he got a whiff (or was it the hug?). I don't care for rose scents much but one that I received several (no kidding) compliments was Chantal Thomas (I smell rose and licorice or anise) layered with red flower morrocan rose body lotion. I was rather suprised when a couple of women asked me what I was wearing and they loved it-or so they said!--Another Rose scent that's nice for a lot less money also, is Series 2 Red Rose Comme de Garcon. Still loving the funky Luctor et Emergo!
GET RID OF THAT ATOMIZER--IT IS EVAPORATING THIS $125.00 BOTTLE OF PURE GENIUS!!! TAMARA!
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Costes by Hotel Costes
tpiescott 5/1/2006 12:45:00 AM
I am wearing a sample of Costes right now (and I am IN LOVE with wood scents).. I am still reeling from my purchase of Silver Rain by the fabulous La Prairie (hated it--too sweet for me) but this I must have!
Ladies,Ladies...ahem...I purchased the EDP and the little envelope, inside the box very clearly states..."THE ATOMISER IS FOR DRESSING TABLE USE ONLY"...in english and french...I had to laugh, atomisers are cute but so very horrible. I have a bottle of Prada perfume intense with an atomizer...I kept wondering why I kept smelling this fabulous scent as the bottle is kept in a dark wood cabinet--well this oily, EXPENSIVE concentrate was leaching out of the screw on top of the atomiser that was attached!!! I was horrified!!! Luckily I transferred it to a heavy square perfume bottle with a stopper that I lined with foil. I check the volume periodically and this seems to be doing the trick for now--SO, REMEMBER--ATOMISERS-should be used with EXTREME caution!!--that said, FIFI Chachnil EXTRAIT (oil) comes in the most beautiful satin-lined box and the bottle is what perfume is all ABOUT!!! This fragrance is something that must be experienced! In that form (extrait or oil) specifically it is even MORE enchanting!--( save your lunch money-- for a while, for this one). Tamara
Well, I do NOT like this fragrance--it is too, too sweet for me. I kept waiting for some kind of wood scent to emerge and it just does not work on me. I will probably love the candle though. NOT FOR ME at this time...I tried it TWICE, with the (very nice textured) body cream.
I just received the eau de parfum intense and I am truly in love--( AMBER,LABDANUM,PATCHOULI,BENZOIN RESIN DE SIAM AND SANDALWOOD)--I normally would not have even tried this, I opt for very eclectic perfumers like YOSH, Regina Harris, Diane Hurwitz --but this one (there was a scent strip in VOGUE last fall I think) haunted me. This is an outstanding, sexy, beautiful work of art. I received the lotion, shower gel and also a miniature in a little PRADA bag as a gift today. I will wear this very sparingly as even the eau de parfum is pretty intense! (It does not smell like Obsession at all to me!)--And I do hope everyone will not buy it BECAUSE THIS IS MY SCENT FOR A WHILE!!!--just kidding... but not really. TAMARA
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - People of the Labyrinths Luctor et Emergo
tpiescott 3/12/2004 10:06:00 AM
I have purchased Luctor et Emergo from Apothia for the last time--they have greedily raised the price to $225.00 per 90 ml/that's 3.2 oz. per bottle. Not to worry though, the FABULOUS Lucky Scents website now offers my favorite parfum for--$165.00!!!--Still outrageous but lower than Apothia's former price of $180.00!!!
I LOVE THIS SCENT!!! THE BODY LOTION IS INCREDIBLE, THE BATH TABLET IS GREAT, THE MASSAGE OIL IS NOW AN ESSENTIAL IN MY COLLECTION OF STUFF. THE GLITTERY POWDER PUFF IS FANTASTIC IF YOU DIG THAT GOLD, GLITTERY LOOK AND HAVE DARKER SKIN, THE NEW CANDLE IS A PERFECT IDEA FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THIS SCENT!--I WILL BUY AGAIN WHEN I RUN OUT!
THE BODY LOTION IS WAAAY BETTER!!!--BUT FOR A STORE BRAND THE SCENT IS UNBELEIVABLY DELICIOUS--I BOUGHT EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE CANDLE--THE WHITE PALM SCENT DOES NOT APPEAL TO ME AT ALL--THIS REMINDS ME OF CARAMEL!!! -I AM TOO OLD FOR THAT GLITTERY POWDER BUT DAUGHTER (IN HER 20'S!) LOVES IT.
I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN, BUT IT MAKES ME WONDER WHAT KIND OF LINGERIE WASH THAT I COULD CREATE MYSELF WITH SOME UNSCENTED LIQUID SOAP AND A FEW CHOICE DROPS OF ESSENTIAL OILS OR OTHER SCENTS---HMMM...?--WHEN I'M REALLY BORED I WILL EXPERIMENT. IT IS A DELIGHTFUL PRODUCT THOUGH TO SPLURGE ON!
This is insane, but I must somehow obtain Every Tocca candle -( not the little ones either)! I recently received YDRA (cucumber scent is dominant)--the perfumer for candles at Tocca is a GENIUS!!!--(but, I don't care for the Touch cologne). They all smell so good they REMIND me that life can be beautiful!!!
Other -Archipelago Botanicals - OAT SALT MILK/SOY BATH MILK PRODUCTS
tpiescott 7/12/2003 1:33:00 PM
I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW HAPPY THIS WHOLE LINE OF PRODUCTS MAKES ME--They smell like my daughter (when she was a baby) and they just make you smile. I use the bath salts too quickly (at 16.00 for 10 oz--It's just not fair Archipelago, give me more product for 16.00 for godsakes!)!!! I buy these products at Ulta or the local central Market, Whole Foods type of store. I don't care for the bar soap,(at 7.00 a bar!!!) but the body lotion (25.00 for a BIG BOTTLE), the liqid body wash (A generous size, I forgot how much but a MUCH BETTER DEAL THAN THE BAR SOAP) WILL MAKE YOUR BATH SO WONDERFUL--aT THESE PRICES IN THE GROCERY STORE WHO HAS MONEY FOR FOOD?-MY HUSBAND LOVES MY SCENT AS HE EATS HIS DRESSED UP RAMEN NOODLES!!!!
