Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent - TEINT RESIST Long Wear Transfer Resistant Foundation

This is an excellent foundation! I am a PPP (nc10-15ish) and usually wear the lightest shade in any given foundation line. I have a really hard time finding a match, most foundations are either too dark & orangey, or they are light enough but too pink. I have very neutral tones, not overly pink or yellow, and teint resist in shade #1 is one of the best matches I've found! Not too yellow, not too pink, but perfectly pale!! The coverage is decidedly light-medium, but builds up nicely. I love the natural look this gives my skin, the finish is semi-matte but somehow slightly luminous at the same time. Most longwear foundations I have tried are thick/masklike, just generally heavier than a normal foundation. This one manages a lightweight texture & feel. If you are looking for a long-wearing foundation with a smooth, natural finish this may be it! Pricey but worth it!!

Liquid -NARS - Firming Foundation

Something you must know before you try this foundation is that it helps for it to be warmed a bit between your fingers to help it blend. Also, it will highlight every single dry patch & flake, so exfoliation beforehand is a MUST with this particular foundation. Now on to the good stuff: the shade match is perfect for my neutral nc15/nw15 PPP skin. I wear this in the shade siberia (neutral leaning cool undertone) and it gives an airbrushed, porcelain doll look that is beyond gorgeous. I forgive this foundation its difficult blendability because the finish is so darn perfect. Exfoliate like crazy (i am loving kate somerville exfolikate) and give this a whirl. It takes some extra effort to make this one work, so i save it for special occasions and times when I am not in a hurry (and take off one lippie for the difficulty)... But my friends, when I put forth the effort I am amazed by the flawlessness of my skin, and can't stop checking myself out in all reflective surfaces LOL.

Foundations -Peter Thomas Roth - Un-Wrinkle Foundation SPF 20

I received the sampler (with 4 shades) as one of my sephora samples with my last order. I tried this in the shade "light", which is a pale neutral toned shade. I am neutral fair, and am on the lighter side of nc15/nw15. This was a perfect match for me, which is a pretty rare thing for my skintone. This foundation has medium coverage, but is very smooth and buildable. I built this up to full coverage. Marveling at the glowy finish + antiaging benefits. Gives a flawless, poreless, almost airbrushed satin finish. Dusted some la mer translucent loose powder over the top to set, and it looks GORG! Instant love! This is pricey, but it will def be one of my FF purchases. If you can get your hands on a sample, do it!! <3

Blush -MAC - The Perfect Cheek

This is the *ULTIMATE* nude blush for PPP's!! Most "nude" blushes can end up looking orangey on my fair skin, but not this one! It is the perfect neutral pale dusty pink with just a hint of brown. This is what I wanted chanel's tempting beige JC to be!! It is also amazingly versatile...It rocks with a nude lip and smoky eyes (my signature look), but also goes smashingly with a red lip & neutral eyes...I can't recommend this highly enough. Instant fave!!!

Mascara -Maybelline - Pulse Perfection Waterproof [DISCONTINUED]
torridgrrrl 9/24/2009 11:04:00 AM
The first time I tried this I used the little vibration button, and the formula did darken/thicken decently. I don't know if it was the vibration or the wetness of the formula, but i also had mascara smeared in specks on my upper AND lower lashlines. So the next day I tried it without the vibration, and that seemed to make it slightly less smeary. The stickiness/clumpyness of this formula didn't work for me. I don't like to run my fingers across my lashes hours after mascara application and feel a sticky, almost wet feeling fringe. And it was even more difficult to remove than other waterproof mascaras I've tried. I will go out and get another tube of max factor volume couture waterproof, which at least will remove decently and let my lashes feel like....well, lashes.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in St. Barts
torridgrrrl 4/21/2009 6:24:00 PM
Applied lightly, this is a *super* bronzer on my PPP skin. In the tube, it looks like a shimmery cool-toned taupe. On my fair skin it shows up as a gorgeous pinky-brown. I have a hard time with bronzers showing up orange-y on me, and I think the cool tone of this is what makes it a success. I dab it lightly on cheeks, bridge of nose, upper forehead and chin and blend, and PRESTO, sun-kissed hotness. For me nars multiples can be hit or miss. This one is a definite *hit*!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Fez
torridgrrrl 3/23/2009 8:06:00 PM
This eyeshadow has instant HG status!! It is a highly pigmented brown, which has the most unique golden sheen to it once applied, which really sets it apart from other browns I've tried. I don't detect any reddish tones as others have said, just the goldish tone that really lights up my dark brown eyes. I have tried soooo many browns, and this one is simply amazing, smooth & softly blendable. I use this all over the lid as a wash, and I am in love!!! An absolute must for brown-eyed girls!

Cleansers -Korres - Pomegranate Cleansing & Demake Up Wipes For Oily & Combination Skin
torridgrrrl 11/17/2008 3:31:00 PM
Love these wipes! I have been using mac wipes forever, but they seem to dry out pretty fast & dont stay moist enough, even tho I properly seal the container after each use. These korres wipes are nice and wet, so they remove my makeup more effectively. One wipe is all I need for an entire face full of heavy makeup! And they don't make my vision blurry for a few seconds (like mac wipes do)...Oh and I really like the fragrance of these...reminds me of cranberry vodka for some reason? Despite these being expensive at $12 for 25 wipes, I will def. be repurchasing!! Big rave!!!
