Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears
torirendon 9/20/2012 11:07:00 PM
I picked this up in a small bottle at CVS for about $6 (50% off) tonight while searching for qtips and posterboard to support (and embarrass) one of my friends at his football game. I love the tiny pink bottle with green rhinestones in it. I gave the packaging a 1 though because I couldn't get the top off and when I finally did, the little sprayer came off in it and I couldn't get it back out of the lid. Luckily I have a travel perfume carrier tube with a sprayer so I washed that out and put this perfume in. Sadly, some of it got on my hands due to it not being ment to transfer bottles. I agree that its a fruity scent with a baked goods smell as an undertone (sorry, I speak choir, not so much perfume so I suck at explaining things). If I didn't have a crazy schedule tomorrow and Saturday, I'd go pick up another bottle so I'd repurchase unless I got another bottle like that so I guess it depends on if this is an ongoing issue with these bottles
Polishes -Essie - Turquoise & Caicos (Resort 2010)

I really love this color. $8 is personally too expensive for me but I had eyed it up so much that I couldn't pass it again. The color is slightly bluer than a mint green. It doesn't exactly dry fast but if you have the time, its fine. ( I did mine in 2 hours due to a case meeting and it wrinkled up on my thumb). Even with a clear base and top coat, its chipped in the 30 hours I've worn it but I also do heavy cleaning ( Currently boxing the household up to move while doing a lot of cleaning) so thats not exactly accurate for all people. I would buy again if I run out though
I seriously dread this place. I have only bought 4 things ever from here. Their yogas are comfy but I buy a size up to avoid looking like all the girls at my school who have the material stretched so far that you can almost see through it and NOTHING can be private. I enjoy my local college shirt from there ($30) and the 2 bras I bought worked ok. I needed 2 different ones for 2 different prom dresses in the past 2 years. I had to get the bombshell the 1st time bc I needed some more volume to hold up the dress than what I had. The other one I don't remember which kind it was, but I had to get a low cut one since it showed a tiny bit of skin in between the boob panels (or whatever they're called) but not much since I value modesty. I also have gotten another pair of yogas as a gift (they were a size too small so I don't wear them) and their Love Spell parfume and lotion (which I like very much). However, they're overpriced and I feel embarrassed going in there with friends, love interests, or family. I do like that they measure you for free, try to help you find what you need, and have a 32 band size bc I find it impossible to find
Wouldn't buy this again unless I was put in a institution and not allowed to have razors. Even then, I'd be pretty iffy about it. This didn't burn or make my skin peel or make me bleed like some others did. It just wasn't effective. It left stubble in most places but some were smooth. The smell of the lavender was a true headache for me. I liked the bottle (I had the pump kind) but the closure over the spout broke off so lippie was deducted. Granted, I've never tried any hair removal products before or after this with the exception of razors so I don't have much to compare to. Everything works differently for everyone, I just personally wouldn't repurchase
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Plus White - 5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel

I love this kit. I got it at a dollar store with the mouthpiece/mouthguard thingy and whitening paste as well as the rinse for about $8. I wish I honestly had the time to do it twice everyday. When I was using it, I saw wonderful results. I've given up on the Crest whitening toothpaste thats $5 for a small tube that everyone was raving about. I'll go with this over anything else. It doesn't even bother my naturally sensative teeth but I wouldn't recommend people with pre-existing dental issues to try. Wish I remembered this when my senior pics were coming up :/ Any ways, works great, cheap. What could be better?
As my family has struggled financially due to divorce and my mom having a low paying job on top of no child support (courts have no idea where my dad is), one of the local families adopt us to help for christmas. This year, I recieved this fragrance. I wore it once (which I feel bad about). Its nauseatingly strong and cloying. I enjoyed the lotion but it reminded me of something my greatgrandma would wear. Overall, neither my mother (who is very sensative to scents due to having cerebral palsy) nor I could stand the scent.
Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray
torirendon 9/1/2012 8:41:00 AM
I rarely ever heat style my hair since I've worked really hard to undo the damage that I did before I learned just how much damage I did (think of thin, fine hair that is almost straw due to straightening, highlights, and dying) Now, 3 years after I learned (And many inches cut off to make it healthy), I avoid heat styling. There are occasions where I do (Like my senior pictures last week) so I depend on this product. I picked it up after hearing all the reviews about it. I like how the formula is light enough that it just sprays on and isn't lotiony like Got2b and sunsilks heat protectants. I also really like the lock that the bottle has so that it doesn't accidentally spray everywhere
I was so excited to try this since the colorstay line is the only line that is pale enough to work on my skin. I loved how lightweight it was and how nicely it covered. However, I have a tiny bit of dry skin on my nose and this accentuated this more than most foundations. The packaging is very heavy and clunky (it hurt when I dropped it on my foot) and is very unhygienic because its a tub. It smells nasty too. I can't describe it because I've never smelled anything like it. The smell stays for a few hours though. Too bad for revlon since it could've been a real hit with me. I wouldn't recommend to anyone with oily or dry skin, anyone prone to breakouts, or anyone who doesn't want to smell like whatever scent it is (old plastic, latex, or rubber)
Found it too orange for my extremely pale skin and it felt too tacky. Too bad bc it was convinent for me to put on :(
BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
torirendon 7/22/2012 9:23:00 PM
I bought this at CVS for about $9 after seeing that they had a display for bb creams. When I used the testig tube of light on my face, it blended right in which is a major feat considering only the lightest shade of Revlon Colorstay can match my pale skin. So I bought 2 tubes of it since they look so small. The product is an awful orangy color and quite watery when it comes out of the tube but it goes on pretty good. Sadly, it didn't do as good as I expected from all the rave views of bb creams. I found it too sheer for my liking since the summer heat left my skin broken out. Even using a concealer didn't make problem areas look better. I did like the squeeze tube thats easy to use and hygenic. I will buy again only as a tinted moisturizer for when my skin is clearer.
I bought this for about $7 at my local CVS. This was my first time trying a Rimmel product so I was a bit skeptical. This is the best mascara I've ever worn and I've been using mascara for about 4 years now. My eyelashes look amazingly long and thick, almost like an incredible pair of falsies. My only issue is flaking but thats tolerable since its only a small amount and it makes my eyes look so amazing. I'll repurchase without a doubt.
I've been using this concealer for almost a year now. I bought it after winning a $25 Mary Kay gift card plus a free consultant. I'm the palest color and it matches pretty well. The coverage is excellent and one tube lasts me about 8 months. I'd repurchase in a heartbeat.
I would buy again without a second thought. I bought this after attempting to dye my hair back to my natural light brown. It came out too dark though and so I quickly realized that I would need a clarifying shampoo to strip some of the color. I picked this up at a salon close to me after realizing I had no more of Suave's daily clarifying shampoo. It did the trick and now I'm back to my normal hair color. I also use this after a coconut oil pre-shampoo soak and it does an amazing job of removing the oil left on top of the hair shaft, but doesn't leave my hair dry. I love this shampoo and would recommend it to anyone who wants to fade dye, remove build up from oil, products, ect.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel

I would buy this product a million times over!!!!! I bought this product from Joie at saluxshop.com like many others did.I ordered them on a Sunday,so they were shipped out on Monday and I got them on Wednesday. I ordered four of them for $16 (two for my fiance and two for me) which included shipping. It was the best investment I have ever made! My flakey skin on my nose is gone,my skin is baby soft! Thank you MUA because I would have never found this product on my own. The scrubbies and loofahs I have are going into the trash. I will recommend these to anyone and everyone who wants to get more use of soap, amazing skin, ect.
Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
torirendon 3/25/2012 10:42:00 PM
One of the best products ever made! My fiance works outdoors year round for his job so his hands get very rough. One night we were watching a movie and I had my Burt's Bees products out and so I took the wax to his fingertips around the nailbed. After a few applications, they were considerably softer and better looking. The wax is hard to get out while hard so I put it in my pants pockets shortly before using so that the wax will be easier to spread. I love the lemon scent and I'll repurchase in the future without hesitation.
