Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel

I came across reviews for this product and had to throw my 2 cents in. I absolutely love this bath towel and have been using it for years! - literally since elementary school. My mom would get them from Asian grocery stores in the neighborhood. I left mine behind in a hotel once and was heart broken because I couldn't find a similar style towel. They leave skin silky smooth. When used gently on your face they give your complexion a healthy, smooth glow! Love it!
Skincare - Face -Equate - Proactiv knock-off system

About a month and a half ago I was considering purchasing Proactiv again and initially searched on MUA for reviews on Proactiv. But I came across reviews of the generic Equate version and decided to give it a try. So happy I did, it's worked wonders on my skin. I've used Proactiv in the past and without a doubt this product rivals Proactiv at a fraction of the cost. I used it to clear up some trouble areas in my T-zone and it did the job. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a less expensive, higly effective alternative to the monthly obligations/bills of the brand name product.
Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Degree Clinical Protection

I can't say enough about this deodorant. It's been a life saver! For the past few years I've had a problem with excessive sweat. It was completely embarrassing and annoying. And with record temperatures this summer, I couldn't have discovered this at a better time. Think it's important to note that excessive sweating could be an indication of a medical issue that may need to get checked out. Beyond that I really like the powder scent, it's fairly subtle and fresh smelling as opposed to Secret's Clinical Strength "light & fresh" scent. It sounds so cliche but I truly have regained confidence in social settings. I found a coupon for $1 off at Degree website. I would absolutely recommend this to friends/family.
It amazes me to see how well known this shade is, literally from coast-to-coast. I visited friends out west & during a trip to the nail salon they mentioned that they love it. Back home in the east, co-workers mentioned how they love the shade as well. It's a great color that works well w/a variety of skin tones. I always get compliments when I wear it. Best look for me is short square/round nails w/this color - scrumptious!
Decided to take the plunge and buy the product based on consumer reviews. I've been looking for a detangler for quite some time and haven't been happy w/my experimentation. But I gave this a try and have to say I'm generally pleased. It worked well as a detangler on my fine, relaxed hair. My hair was noticeably softer after the first use. However, my hair looked pretty dull. I'll continue to use it but will try using an extra bit of my glossing sheen or perhaps a different conditioner. Overall, I'm just happy I can actually comb thru my wet hair w/o causing alot of breakage and flyaways.
Hair -Suave - Suave Naturals Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner

I absolutely love this line. It's amazing that something so inexpensive works so well on my fine, relaxed hair. I actually stumbled on it by accident - I forgot my shampoo during a visit home about 5 years ago so I used my mom's shampoo. I was not expecting much at all but was absolutely amazed at how soft my hair was after one use. I chuckled to myself, grateful that my mom is such a bargain shopper. I've used everything in between - from Neutrogena to Frederic Fekkai and I ALWAYS go back to Suave Lavender Shampoo/conditioner. It leaves a nice light scent (although they changed the fragrance slightly a little while ago). Provides just right amount of conditioning, doesn't weigh my hair down. I love that I can get fabulous results from a cheap product considering all the $ we ladies spend on all our other grooming products!
Ugh. Very disappointing. I bought this hoping I'd finally found a good light formula to help me comb thru my fine wet hair after a wash. It did an 'alright' job of detangling my hair but left it coated with a film and crunchy when dry. Washing my hair is a process so to have to go back and rinse & re-wash my hair to get the stuff out was a waste of time in addition to the waste of money. These days my time & money are valuable so I'll be returning it promptly.
Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Solia Ceramic Ion Flat Iron
tmoney1 5/28/2008 6:34:00 PM
I bought my 1 1/4" Solia for $88 from Folica in Nov '06 and it hasn't skipped a beat. It came w/a great heat resistant pouch that is great to travel with. I bought it to replace the cheapy flat irons that kept falling apart on me. I had a Jilbere flat iron & I loved the smooth results but it kept shorting out. The Solia is definitely a quality product. Unfortunately I've dropped it one too many times by bumping it off the edge of my bathroom sink but this thing is heavy duty, no shorts, no creaky plates - it's solid. I've never had to worry about the handles getting too hot to the touch. I have fine, relaxed hair & I use the Solia just about every day on a pretty low setting 300 - 330 degrees. I get consistent results and actually lots of compliments on my hair.
More like 3.5 lippies. It's "alright". I actually have the lotion. Due to my tendency to get headaches from fragrances I've found that lotions are generally a better alternative for me. I thought it was just me but it does kind of smell "soapy". However, the lotion fades to a lighter, softer, powdery scent which has a nice clean smell.
Conditioner -Neutrogena - triple moisture deep recovery hair mask
tmoney1 8/18/2006 11:43:00 AM
This is good stuff. It leaves my relaxed/flat-ironed hair feeling really soft to the touch. A little goes a long way. The packaging definitely needs revamping, I have to position it so that water doesn't get in the jar, a tube would be great.
Cleansers -Olay - Clarifying Daily Facials for Combo/Oily Skin
tmoney1 8/18/2006 11:29:00 AM
Love these facials. There is always a noticeable improvement in the clarity and smoothness of my skin. Surprisingly okay for use on my ultra sensitive skin, but probably not everyday. I always use them before an event or for a boost to my normal skin regimen. They're multifunctional too. I cut them in half and after cleaning my face I use the other half to swipe across my feet - great for keeping feet smooth and sandal ready. Great price for the overall results you get.
My favorite drugstore mascara. Basically gets the job done. Like the rich black color. But lashes don't stay soft and clump together. The brush tends to hold alot of mascara so it's not a very clean application.
Treatments -Phyto - Phytophanere Food Supplement for Hair and Nails
tmoney1 7/3/2006 2:19:00 PM
Started using this product in summer '05. After a couple months I noticed a difference in my hair as it started to grow out. I started getting a number of compliments from strangers. I also noticed a difference in my skin & nails, both look healthier and nails are alot stronger. I've especially noticed a difference in my hair lately, it grows out alot quicker and healthier. My sister & her co-worker ran out to get some after they asked what I'd been doing to my hair. Key is consistent use.
