Most sun screens for the face break me out, but this never has. It has antioxidants in it to help deflect free-radical damage ( the opaque packaging keeps them from degrading too), and it works as both my morning moisturizer and spf. It absorbs well and doesn't give me a rash or make my sensitive skin act up. It's pricey for being only 1.4 oz of product, but it works so well it's worth it to me.
This purchase was my first departure from Clinique or drugstore type foundations. I was very worried about the price, but I had heard such great things so I decided to try it out anyway. Even on my sensitive, dry/normal skin it looks great. I get minimal flaking if I haven't exfoliated in a bit, but otherwise great coverage, wear and finish. It is a little heavy in the summer, so beware if you expect to be outside for a long time.
I first purchased this to help get rid of some dark spots left over from acne, and because of the retinol in it, i hoped that it might help my skin break out less often. It really makes a diffence in how quickly my dark spots fade, and also helps even the texture of my skin out. I did notice a decrease in the amount of breakouts i get, and now only have pimples a few times a month. This is a holygrail product for me. I have been using it for 16 months and really can't imagine my skincare routine without it.
i have tried this product out for a month, but have decided to stop using. it strips my skin, and makes my face so "squeaky clean" it hurts and is irritated afterwards. i have terribly dry, acne prone skin and thought this could be a gentle cleanser, but it made my acne worse.
Pressed Powders -New York Color - Pressed Translucent Powder

i purchased this because i needed a translucent powder, and needed something less expensive than usual. at first i was skeptical, but i really do like it. it doesn't get cakey, as long as you blot before you apply it, and it helps keep any oil at bay for several hours. i have very dry skin, so i use it only when i have used a very emollient sunscreen, or if i ever feel the need to touch up with it after applying concealer. i love that it doesn't highlight my dryness.
i stumbled upon this when summer came around and i found myself in need of a powder foundation to replace my liquid foundation, which the heat was melting off my face. i chose this on a whim, and really like it. it isn't the best powder foundation out there, but for the price and convenience of buying it at a local store vs. online, it is good enough in a pinch. used with a dense kabuki, over concealer, it lasts for 6-7 hours with little need to touch up.
