I'd heard great things about this product and since I have cystic pimples appearing on the exact same spot on my chin every month now, figured I'd give it a try. I'm just not having the success others have had with it, unfortunately. It dries the skin out and the pimple begins to peel, but it doesn't flatten out. It has a strange dry oil-type texture but that disappears once it's soaked in. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid give me the exact same poor result. So far there isn't anything that will shrink these cysts but cortisone injections or just waiting it out.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Eye Pencil 15 Year Anniversary Collection

Urban Decay's 24/7 pencils are probably my favorite eyeliners and this set is a good value with beautiful colors. Stray Dog, Midnight Cowboy, Stash and Mildew are my favorites from this set, but all of the colors are gorgeous and there really isn't a miss in the bunch.

That said, the plastic insert (as another reviewer mentioned) smells horrendous, like a mixture of pesticides and Granny's attic. It was so strong that it made the entire area around my vanity smell awful.

The stench transferred to the pencils, unfortunately - so much so that it rubbed off on my hands and even with repeated washing, I can still smell it (I am very sensitive to offensive odors, however). Cornstarch, baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice have all failed to remove the smell from the pencils. I'm afraid the set will have to go back if it doesn't fade within a few days.

My advice to anyone considering this item would be to go to the actual store and take a whiff if possible to determine if you're getting a smelly set, because apparently some don't have this problem.

If I needed to re-purchase, this is what I will do (although I doubt it will still be around by the time I finish the pencils).

Edited 1/31/11: It's been three weeks now and the smell remains on the pencils. It has faded some, however. In addition to what I mentioned above in my attempts to deodorize them, I also buried them in a bowl of potpourri. It has helped some. They continue to air out in an area where I don't have to breathe in the odor. I'm not sure I will ever bring these into my room as I don't care to have it smell even remotely like pesticides.

I bumped my initial review down to three lipsticks because UD just makes dumb excuses for this problem. It's a defect that should be remedied ASAP. To the reviewer telling us we should go back to our hyperbaric chambers, I believe certain sets smell much worse than others. Come over and take a whiff and then judge.

Brows -Talika - Talika - Eyebrow Lipocils

I was very skeptical when I ran across this on Sephora's website, but since my brows were suffering from overplucking and my attempts to grow them back in resulted in straggly, ugly-looking things, I decided to give it a try. It's been a couple of months now and my brows are really looking good - like the old pair I had in high school before I discovered tweezers! They feel glossy and healthy and make my face look so much better than the skinny, anemic brows I had for years. This is good stuff, IMO!
