This cured my eczema and works really well on dry skin. It is best applied fresh out of the shower but after application you need to sit in a towel and just let it absorb. It hasn't been brilliant on scar repair and old acne, I have found Elizabeth Arden cream to be much better for this at least on my face, but on dry patches of skin (that isn't infected) I 100% recommend it cleared up my dry skin within a month where water based products just didn't penetrate the skin enough. You need to finish the bottle to be completely sure it hasn't worked and it needs to be massaged into the skin, but on my yellow-caramelly skin my scars are dark and my skin is very weak so it might not work for me in particular. But I always have some for dry skin and in winter where my skin dries out I add it to my daily moisturizer and really massage it in. It is too oily to put all over the face unless your face is dry.

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
tlove100 6/14/2012 6:21:00 PM
I used this product for years but since getting Revlon Colour stay for oily skin I haven't looked back. This product isn't bad, but it changes colour and just didn't suit my skin I was having to blot all the time and despite being quite a heavy coverage just didn't give me the coverage I wanted; it takes quite a long time to set and still felt quite wet on my face compared to the Revlon. The oxidizing really bothered me and by the end of the day I couldn't wait to take it off. I used NC43.5 with an NC43 powder which worked when first applied but within a couple of hours I required blotting. I applied this with a sponge and had a primer on first, I recommend a mac pump to use with it for better application but they sell this separately- it is transferable though.

Pressed Powders -Chanel - Poudre Universelle Compacte
tlove100 6/14/2012 6:18:00 PM
Expensive but completely worth it for quality and colour. The powder gives a light/medium coverage but it feels lovely and works brilliantly with my foundation (Revlon Colourstay). I mostly use it in the centre diamond of my face and on my tzone and it has been fantastic in minimizing the oil on my face. I use a Constance Carol setting powder on top to keep it all in place but it has proven to be worth the money! It is travel friendly and the compact is really cute. I apply with a mac 190 brush and it doesn't have too much residue and it lasts for most of the day- I might require some blotting powder on a fast paced day. I use 40 Dore (my colour is NC43) and it blends beautifully for a matte coverage that is natural looking. I use a large blending brush with my finisher for a more balanced finish.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Universal Lip Glow
tlove100 6/14/2012 6:06:00 PM
Love this I am not a huge daytime lipstick fan but this makes my lips really soft and brings out a soft gentle colour without being sticky or heavy. For evening lips I use this as a primer and during the day I put a pinky lipliner on, this, and then blend with some lipgloss or a sweet smelling/tasting fruity lipbalm. For those who aren't lipstick fans and don't want the stickiness of lipgloss this is perfect.

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
tlove100 6/14/2012 5:45:00 PM
I have been using this product for years (NC 42/43) but haven't been completely happy with it. It oxidizes and feels horrible after a couple of hours but I didn't know any better; I went to Mac and had my makeup done professionally and was persuaded it was the right colour. Since I have changed my liquid foundation to Revlon Colorstay from Mac Studio Fix I only use this as a sort of bronzer for the outside of my face and a Chanel powder Chanel Poudre Universelle for the centre part (diamond part) of my face and they work really well together; the Chanel powder works much better on my tzone and has more of a yellow tone compared to the orange tone of this powder, mixing them gives me the best of both products and the most natural look - it is definitely better to blend powders (lighter on the inside of your face a shade darker on the outside) as if you use the same colour all over you look like you're wearing a mask something I had to learn the hard way! This product does not travel unless in a makeup bag, if it drops on the floor it shatters and it's too expensive to lose so easily! I apply with a mac brush and not a sponge as i find it sets my makeup better and goes on lighter. Gives a good coverage but I definitely recommend to work on improving your general skincare with primrose oil and a cleanser/toner/moisturiser routine suited to your skins requirements and a diet heavy with fruit vegetables and oily fish so that you require less makeup, as well as wearing a primer with spf- this is a must. Get your makeup done by a SA at mac to find the right colour for your skin as it is easy to get wrong I was wearing NC45 for an entire year and looked tangoed! It costs £25 pounds in the UK to get your entire face done which is great for a special occasion and you can purchase products to the value of £25 pounds in that which is about the price of the foundation. I am between two minds of whether to purchase again it's been a faithful product but my face has required different things in the four years of using it.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer - Recharge
tlove100 6/13/2012 8:30:00 PM
Quite expensive but is the best primer I have ever used. I asked the SA what product would prevent me from looking grey. My foundation at the time was the studio fix in NC43 but it was oxidizing on my face and changing colour. This primer (over my cleanser toner moisturizer) was lovely, the little tinge to it brightened my face and gave me a smooth base where my foundation (now changed to Revlon Colorstay golden caramel in oily/combination) glides on. It's really comfortable and breathable and on good skin days can work on it's own with just a little powder. It is not to be used as a foundation because it gives little-to-no coverage but it is spf 35 which is brilliant because most forget to apply sun protection which can make people age without it. I apply with a sponge and let it set for just a minute before I apply foundation. This is now one of my staple products I will never look back.

Moisturizers -Elizabeth Arden - Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex (Creme Complexe Hydratante)
tlove100 6/13/2012 7:56:00 PM
Fantastic product. I have combination skin and an oily tzone, but have dry eczema prone skin everywhere else. I had lots of acne scars that would make me shy to display my face without makeup but no more!!!! This cream really does everything is says and has made a visible difference after only 2 months of use! My face is more even where scars are almost non existant, softer and makeup glides on! It is advertised to improve anti aging (for which I have no proof of yet) but it leaves my face hydrated soft and healthy looking it is no longer frightening to see myself without makeup (it was helped by taking evening primrose oil tablets/heathy diet/ drinking nothing but water/and using an organic cleanser and toner) but adding this cream to my regimen has been a fantastic addition. It is quite pricey but it's extremely thick and you don't require much at all just a little goes a long way. I cleanse and tone with gentle organic cleansers and put this on as soon as i wake up and when i take my makeup off in the evenings, and let it just absorb into my face. It doesn't leave my face oily at all. It smells a bit like pollen, but its not a potent smell I've grown to like it. I would definitely buy again.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
tlove100 6/13/2012 7:33:00 PM
My skin colour is nc43 with yellow undertones, and I have combination skin that gets oily around my tzone. My skin is sensitive, and being fair skinned I have dark acne scars which are fading extremely well with the moisturizer I mention later on in my review! I use "golden caramel" in oily/combination and for my colouring it is a perfect match. When I first started using foundation I used maybelline mouse in caramel but it only lasted on my face 2-3 hours and would literally melt off my face. I then moved onto mac liquid studio fix which when first applied suited my face and isn't too heavy but during a working day the colour would change, i would appear to be more orange and it would make my face really hot and sweaty where I couldn't wait to take it off- sometimes taking it off while at work so that I was less uncomfortable. Revlon Colourstay is amazing and sets beautifully; yes it definitely would be better with a pump applicator but I use a sponge to apply and tip it onto it; it doesn't require much at all and lasts allllllll day with no change I have a beautiful matte face with no change! I use Elizabeth Arden Visable difference moisturizer, then use mac primer recharge which act as the perfect base after a gentle cleansing and mild toner. Then I put this foundation on with chanel powder and mac studio fix powder to highlight and set my makeup. This hasn't made me break out at all, but it is very heavy, so it definitely needs to be taken off when you get home to allow your skin breathe. It blends beautifully with any concealers used (I use mac in nc42 for blemishes such as acne scars) but it sets quickly which is a good thing as you don't have to do the waiting to set your makeup dance that you have to do with mac liquid. I definitely recommend a highlighter I am using one from Mac it is a light shimmer and added to your cheekbones and under the eyebrows as it gives a more dewy natural look but remember to blend! I also use a blush. If you are unsure how to do highlighting on your face watch Cassandra Bankson on youtube diamondsandheels14 is her profile she goes through show and tells of how to highlight different shaped faces and it has been a great help for me!
