Mascara -Unlisted Brand - Gabriel Color Mascara
tks243 5/22/2013 3:52:00 PM
By far the best mascara that is safe and natural that I have ever used! I have tried about 5 of them. None of them have the brush, staying and curling power, and separating affect that this does. It works just like one with chemicals. I will never stray away from this mascara due to its ability to go on nicely and clump free and look great all day. My only complaint is the price. It is about 15 dollars for a tiny tube that lasts me less than a month. I use multiple coats but still. The tube is small and once it starts to run low around the 3-4 week it just does not make the lashes look great anymore. I wish they would lower the cost to 10 dollars because this is definitely one of the more expensive mascaras. I switched to this from the 100 percent pure mascara.

Powder -Unlisted Brand - Gabriel Cosmetics - Zuzu Luxe Dual Powder Foundation
tks243 5/22/2013 3:49:00 PM
I have combination skin and was originally very hesitant to use this product as a foundation. I originally purchased it to use as powder on top of my Gabrielle moisturizing liquid foundation, which was a bit too greasy for me. I thought the powder would help. I tried it on top of the foundation and I found it to be horrible and made my skin look dull. However, for fun one day I just tried it on its on on my skin. The staying powder is very nice! When you first put it on it does make your skin look more on the matte side. But after about 30 minutes it melts into the skin and looks very nice. And the compact makes it easy for touch ups throughout the day. Very natural looking. I will be purchasing again! A little warning though...if you have dry skin or flake skin I would avoid this. Whenever I do chemical peels then use this my skin looks horrid. I would only suggest this for normal, oily and combo skin. The coverage is great! Even skin tone and covers blemishes well. I purchased D-4 and have fairly yellow undertones to my skin. It looks very pale but I would say it is better to go lighter with this foundation. I just use a blush and a bit of bronzer after and it works perfect.

Bronzers -Lily Lolo - Waikiki
tks243 2/21/2013 11:48:00 PM
This is a nice natural bronzer. Safe ingredients and I feel good about what I am putting on my face. Did not cause any breakouts or anything. It does blend nicely but you will need a good brush to get the effect you want. I find that the staying power is not overly great which may be expected with a natural product. If I use a mineral mist right before I put it on that helps. I would repurchase if I do not find a cheaper product with decent reviews.

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Pure Line Pencil Liner
tks243 2/21/2013 11:45:00 PM
I had high hopes for this eyeliner. I will first focus on the positives. It is a nice brand that is basically chemical free. They are Canadian which is nice because that means it gets to you fast. The sharpener on the end of this eyeliner works amazing and I will save it for other liners. The bad part is that it does not work AT ALL. You have to press very hard to get it to be noticeable and within an hour it is completely gone. You have to apply it multiple times a day and that just ruins your eyeshadow. I understand this is a natural product and realize natural cosmetics do not have the staying power as chemical ones, but it is possible to find natural eye liners that actually stay on. I will likely be going back to my Lauren Brooke eye liner or try Gabriel's liquid liner. Save your money!

Liquid -Unlisted Brand - Gabriel Cosmetics- Moisturizing Liquid Foundation

I have been using this for two days now. Before I was using Juice Beauty foundation so I was skeptical of trying a new natural foundation. I will start with the shipping costs for those who do not live in the USA. It is VERY expensive for Gabriel to ship to Canada and that is really disappointing for those who do not live in the states. They have good products so it is a shame those from outside the states have to pay shipping that is more expensive than the actual foundation. Now onto the product. It was hard to tell what shade I was online but decided to go with True Beige. I have a noticeable yellow tinge to my skin. I am not pale but more of a light/medium tone. I will burn without sun protection but tan with sunscreen. Hopefully that helps someone regarding colour. When I first saw the foundation colour on the back of my hand I was alarmed as it was quite dark. I always mix my foundation with rose water on the back of my hand and as I put it on my face I realized that it was blendable. It also sucks because the bottle has no pump or spatula so I had to use a qtip to get it out. A pump would be ideal. And by the time I used face powder it was fine. I think I would try Natural Beige next time and see how that works for me. This foundation is medium coverage and dries super fast. I cannot imagine not using a mineral mist spray while applying this stuff. I do wish the coverage was a bit heaver but if you use concealer you will be fine. I also have a pretty oily tzone and this stuff held up relatively well during the day. I did have to reapply powder but I honestly do not mind that. This is a natural and safe foundation and I have a realistic expectation that it us unlikely to find an absolutely amazing foundation. I cannot compare it to my old vichy aura teint which was my HG foundation but because it is all natural and works well I will continue to use. I would suggest using the zuzuluxe dual powder foundation on top of this if you have extremely oily skin. I will be purchasing that once I am out of my regular powder.

Blush -100 Percent Pure - Fruit Pigment Lip & Cheek Stain
tks243 3/29/2012 3:13:00 AM
I love this stuff. I got it in the cranberry colour which looks like an alarming shade of red/pink but it goes on nice. I have fair skin and it looks good on. It seems like you could get almost any colour without it looking bad, you can really control where and how heavy you want it. A little goes a very long way and one tube will probably last me well over a year. I am not sure with it being natural if you can even keep it that long but you honestly do not need much at all. I paid about $20 in Canada for it which is not bad considering how long it lasts. I find it easier to use than powder brush because it is harder to screw up with this stuff.

Mascara -100 Percent Pure - Fruit Pigmented ultra lengthening mascara
tks243 3/29/2012 3:08:00 AM
This is a really good mascara. I find that a lot of "natural" mascaras seem to have one or two ingredients that are not so natural so I was impressed with the ingredients on this. I got the colour black tea and I love it. I love the brush and I think people just need to practice more with it and get a feel for it. It took me a few times to get my eyelashes the way I wanted them. However, a bit bigger brush would be nicer. This mascara made my eyelashes very long and separated. It does tend to crust off easily but only if you constantly rub your eye or are touching the eye area. It smells like fruit, almost like blueberries. I paid $24 for this in Canada so it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I will definitely repurchase!

Liquid -Juice Beauty - Perfecting Foundation
tks243 2/27/2012 2:49:00 AM
I was very skeptical about this product. There was barely any reviews on this product so I took a leap of faith and ordered it online. I live in Canada and was able to find this quite easily on website that offered a guarantee with their products for 30 days so I was convinced about purchasing it because even if it was terrible I could get a refund. I ordered the colour sand and on the website it doesn't look overly dark. My skin is not pale or fair but it is light with a yellowy tinge to it. When I got the foundation I was horrified about how dark it was. There was no way I was that shade. The first time I tried it I was discouraged, I had just done a chemical peel and my skin was peely so my dry spots really stuck out. It looked too dark for my skin and I was pretty sure I would return it. After my dry skin went away I decided to try again. I used my home made primer, used my Ecco Bella concealer on all my scars and then put a squirt on the back of my hand and used some mineral mist to spread it around on the back of my hand then dab it on with my fingers. This stuff dries fast (probably because it is so natural) and you have to separate it into sections. I do my one cheek and eye, next cheek and eye, chin, forehead, nose. I was amazed at how good my skin looked. Keep in mind my skin is dry combo, sensitive, cystic acne prone. I have a lot of acne scars as well. I was able to work with it to make it less dark on me. It is very concentrated so using a full pump the first time was a mistake. I only use a 1/4 of a pump...very tiny amount and it works perfect when spread with a little water or mineral mist. I am amazed I have usually had to use tons of foundation to cover my scars.I also finished with a powder so it did match my skin tone well, I looked a little sun kissed but nothing noticeable other than by myself. Also, this stuff lasts! It was still on very good after 12 hours. Could have used a bit of touch up of powder but that is it! I will definitively repurchase. It is all organic and natural, it is around $40 which I consider cheap for a foundation of this caliber, and it works! It has improved the way my skin looks and provides very good coverage. It is build-able so for those who like to cake on the foundation it works and for those who barely used any it will also work. My complaints are of course the colours, there are only 3. The first shade would have been way too pale, sand was a bit dark, and tan is super dark. If I was able to afford the first shade and sand it would have been perfect for me. I really hope they add 2 or 3 other shades so more people are able to use this product. I also would have liked to see it in a glass jar.

Shampoo -Aubrey Organics - Blue Camomile Shampoo
tks243 2/2/2012 5:35:00 PM
I bought this without reading reviews first so was unsure. I picked it solely on its ingedients. It took me awhile to figure out the best way to use this stuff as it is kind of strange. It is green slightly thick and has an ok smell but it does not lather easily unless your hair is absolutely soaked. I have to stand under the shower while the water hits my hair then quickly throw the shampoo on my head and scrub. It is sometimes hard to fully rinse out so you need rinse well. I find that I have to use large amounts to cover my whole scalp so I go through a bottle about once a month to month and a half, my hair is long though almost halfway down my back. I found that my hair does curl quite a bit better since switching to this shampoo and barely get split ends anymore. It is fairly expensive, I paid $14 for it. I would buy this again because I use nothing but natural products and it does its job. I will probably try a different shampoo from aubrey next time though just to compare.

Mascara -Unlisted Brand - Honeybee Gardens Truly Natural Mascara
tks243 2/2/2012 5:28:00 PM
I have been searching for a natural mascara that actually works for a long time. I was skeptical about trying this one but the price is not bad so I decided to try it. I found that if I just used the mascara right after removing the brush from the container and used it it would clump my lashes so what I tried was brushing the excess mascara against the opening of the where I unscrewed the brush from the mascara...I hope that makes sense. Anyways, I brushed off quite a bit of excess mascara on my brush and started with the outer part of my lashes and worked my may inward with long strokes. It took a few tries to finally learn how to perfect it but it does make my lashes nice. It lengthens nicely and separates, I did wish it would volumize a bit better though and think the product could be improved with a bigger brush. The staying power was ok but you may have to reapply depending on heat or weather etc. It did not flake on me if I left it alone but if I did touch my lashes some would flake off. This stuff is not water proof at all and comes off very very easily with just a bit of water. I am not complaining about this product at all as it is natural and cheap and is pretty good considering it is natural. I can't complain too much as it is a natural product and does not have all the chemicals my old waterproof mascara had. I will continue to buy.

Concealers -Ecco Bella - Natural Cover Up
tks243 2/2/2012 5:21:00 PM
I love this concealer! I live in Canada and this costs about $22, which is pretty expensive considering the small amount that you get for the cost. I was concerned about buying this and was worried if it would cover my old acne scars. I do not use anything but natural products anymore so I figured I would give it a try. I ordered the beige and found that the colour was perfect for my skin tone. I am light skinned, not pasty though and have yellow undertones. I disliked the way it is like a lipstick where you have to turn it to get more out. At times I would forget to turn it down enough and put the lid on and smush it. However, the product itself is amazing. My skin is sensitive, combo, cystic acne prone and it did not break me out at all or dry my skin out. It glides really easy so it is nice for under the eyes. It covered my scars pretty good but I did have to put on 2 layers of concealer for them and because I have so many scars this product did go pretty fast. I would say for me it lasted about 2-3 months. If you are just using this for under the eye it really will last you awhile. This has been the best concealer I have used so far and will continue to buy. I wish it was cheaper in Canada though, it has caused to to buy from an online website in the states.

Liquid -Living Nature - Foundation
tks243 2/1/2012 9:11:00 PM
I was on a long search for an all natural foundation (hard to find in Canada). Once I found this foundation I spent a lot of time researching it, I know there is only two reviews on here but try searching on google and youtube. So I decided to give this foundation a try and purchased off Saffron Rouge, with shipping I spent about $57 dollars but I figured it was worth it because it was natural. I got the colour pure sand and was really worried about it being too dark but it was perfect. I was a little scared when I saw the colour on my hand but it blended well. I am a fair skinned person who does burn but the burn turns into a tan, however I wouldn't call myself pasty/pale just light skinned with yellow undertones. I was not impressed the first week as it was globbing up with my concealer and just making my skin look awful. I realized that not using a foundation brush helped this issue and using a mineral mist spray/water helped a lot. I have a lot of acne scars and this covered them up fairly well with the help of my eccobella concealer (amazing concealer). I was very happy that I finally found a natural foundation that make my skin look great and did not break my cystic acne skin out. Unfortunately, I did not realize how bad talc is for you and this product does have it in there. I read online that talc is related to asbestos so I did not want to take any chances and decided not to reorder this product despite its good and long lasting coverage. I will be switching to 100% pure natural foundation. It is a lot cheaper, got better reviews, and has much purer ingredients that I don't have to doubt their safety.

Crème -Vichy - Aera Teint Pure Creme makeup
tks243 7/4/2011 6:06:00 PM
This foundation is amazing! It comes in a normal/combo and dry skin type formula. I have moderate acne and oily sensitive skin. It breaks out easy so I was happy that this did not break me out. It covers flawlessly and makes my skin near perfect(used with primer). It stays on great for hours and even stays on while swimming and sweating. It is about $30 so the price is not awful but not amazing but it is well worth it. The only warning I have about this foundation is you must carefully pick your right colour. Go to the store and test a few colours on your skin and let the foundation dry and sit for about 15 min or as long as you can. This stuff seems to change colour on your skin after a bit but can be avoided if you wait to see how it dries. That's my only complaint. I wish they had more colours to pick from as well. I couldn't afford a new colour so in the meantime I found blending it with some water or mineral setting mist does the trick. Overall though it is the best foundation I have ever used and I have used 30+ different kinds. Will buy again!

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Face Sculpting Trio
tks243 10/18/2009 9:05:00 PM
This is my favorite powder ever. I love the idea it is organic and it makes my skin look perfect and gives great coverage. I like it because the bronzer part is very subtle and isn't super obvious. It gives you a great natural look, so if you're looking for something to make you look more "bronze" and are looking for something not as subtle or natural then you may not like this. But it does give you a great, simple, natural glow. Only downside is that it is pretty expensive for something bought at the drugstore it runs for about $23..if you live in Canada watch London Drugs as there are 2 for 1 sales for PF products.

Tinted Moisturizer -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear
tks243 10/18/2009 8:54:00 PM
This stuff was awful. I'm a big fan of all the other organic wear make up but this was terrible for me. I have oily acne prone skin and found the coverage really bad for me. My skin always looked greasy and dull. And it made me break out like crazy. When I put powder on over top it just looked weird. I liked the foundation better and reccomend it compared to this for people that have the same skin as me. This is a better product for people with normal/dry skin.
