Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One
titina206 7/16/2011 1:39:00 PM
I was really wanting to try this mascara, specially being a big fan of the collossal one, I wanted to see if this one worked for me, but it didn't. The formula does not look as dark as the colossal one. I put the two wands together, and this one ends up looking grey instead of black. The brush gets all my lashes, one by one, but, my eyes with one coat of mascara, and without mascara, look exactly the same, and with two coats, my lashes clump, and they don't even look fuller, or longer. The wand itself is one of the things that bothers me because it's very flexible, and the plastic fivers (I don't know how to name them, sorry), are not as good as the ones on the covergirl lashblast (orange tube). This mascara is about 10 euros, and there are "buy one, get one free" or things like that here, so I find it very pricy considering the quality that you get. Won't repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Too Faced - Mood Swing Lip Gloss
titina206 7/6/2011 8:51:00 AM
I was looking for a non-sticking hot pink lip gloss when I came across this product. I decided to try it at the back of my hand to see the consistence of it, color (when it changed) and how sticky it was. The consistence is nice. Is thiker than other glosses, the ones I have from Shiseido, Clinique and some from MAC are more liquid). And it's not stiky at all. The color is hot pink. It's clear, has no sparkles in it... just what I was looking for, AND it has something in it that is a natural sunscreen (found this at the Too Faced website). I don't really know how long lasting it's supposed to be, but it lasts on my lips for quite a few hours without touching ups. Also, if I apply any lippy or lip pencil and then top it off with it, it also lasts longer. (This has been very usefull for me for my nude lippies and pencils, that I didn't use for a long time because they look too pale on me, now this gloss gives just the right amount of pinkness to it, without being too "hot pink"). Overall rating: 4 (I don't give it 5 lippies because of the price). Price: expensive. It costed me 18 euros. Packaging: Plastic tube. I think the container is appropriate to put that in your purse and it won't break or anything. I like it. Yes, I would buy again. I know there is a berry one, and a pale pink one as well, and I would really like to try them out and see if they are just as amazing as this one. Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - Mini Heated Lash Curler
titina206 6/9/2011 8:46:00 AM
This is a travel-size versión of a heated curler (I don’t have the regular one, so I won’t compare them). Being a travel-size makes it very easy to transport, and it has a cap to cover the heated part. How it works: You have to switch it on and let it heat for about 15 or 20 seconds (I wait more to make sure it’s really heated). You apply your mascara and then use this. You have to put it close to the base of your lashes and comb them in a lifting motion. There is a small piece in the back of the curler that tells you when the curler is heated. It’s green when the curler is cool, and yellow when it’s heated. What I love about this curler is that I don’t have problems pinching the skin of my eyelid and for the first time, it’s easy to get to the corner lashes. What I don’t like is that my lashes don’t hold the curl, just like happends in my hair with curling irons... I guess I have to find a good mascara that helps this curler hold ghe curl, just like I do with my hair trying different styling products. What I do is first, apply my mascara, and then, hold the curler for about 3 seconds at the base of my (very straight) lashes so that the curl starts right there, and then, lift it up, and wait in the middle of the lashes, and do it again at the tips, just like you would do with a regular lash curler. After that, I can really see a change in my eyes. I use this and my waterproof mascara to hold the curl longer. Works with 1 AAA battery.

Eye Shadow -Cargo - Cargo Eyeshadow Palette in Shanghi
titina206 6/8/2011 7:53:00 AM
This is my go-to palette for everyday looks. I bought the last one available at my Sephora, and I’m very glad I did. Just like other reviews said, the only complain about this palette is the pigmentation of the shadows. One of the good things of these 4 eyeshadows is their staying power when paired with a good base. So far, I’ve used UDPP and TFSI and they look nice after 9 hours at work with no touch ups (I cannot say the same for other shadows I’ve used). Also, each shadow is 3.5gr. And all of them are very blendable. I think the most pigmentated color is the white e/s. The peachy one is a dark match of my skin, so it works very natural on my eyes as a base color for the other shadows. The pink one really reminds me of a paler version of the NARS ORGASM, because the pale pink is not dramatic, but the gold flecks look just gorgeous. The dark taupe color works fine on the crease, because it blends really well, and I think it works really nice to create SOFT smokey looks (not dramatic ones, and I like that, because I have very small eyes, and this color looks great and don’t make them look small). The packaging is great, and the huge mirror is one of the best things of this palette. As for the price, I don't think it's overpriced, but I would really enjoy it if it were cheaper :) Ingredients: Talc, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Zinc Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben. May contains: Tin Oxide, Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI77510), Silica, Chromium Oxides Greens (CI 77288), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Carmine (CI 75470), Alumina

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface
titina206 6/2/2011 7:37:00 AM
I didn’t expect this to last for 24 hours, but it’s staying power is AMAZING. It’s by far the only blush that I have that lasts on my for more than 6 hours without touching ups, and I love it. I think it stays pretty well up to 8 or 9 hous on my oily skin. I’ve found out that when I use primer+foundation it stays longer than when I wear just tinted moisturizer. In any case, this gives my cheeks a nice and healthy pink that I could have not imagined. I’ve receibed compliments on it and asked what I was wearing. I love it for an everyday use when I don’t feel like wearing anything shimmery, and it really has become my go-to blush. In some reviews people complained about the packaging, but I like it. It’s a little bit hard to open, but this means that it will be hard for it to open by itself if you have it in your makeup bag (when traveling or in your purse), and the mirror is really helpful if you need to touch up your make up (though provably not your blush). The price is quite expensive... but I also think it’s worth it because I think this is really going to last me. Will repurchase in the future and I guess I will get me some other colors.

Lip Gloss -Shiseido - The Makeup Lipgloss- Ruby Lustre
titina206 5/26/2011 7:57:00 AM
I like to use this gloss alone, but I found out that I really love it when I pair it with my MAC Hibiscus l/s. It is not stiky at all and has a very nice scent. When worn alone, it enhances the natural colour of my lips, adding a bit of a shimmer without being too overwhealming. This gloss is a great way to start wearing read on your lips, at least for me, because I'm not a big fan of red lipstics. I will buy it again and I will try new colours too.

Lipstick -MAC - Lipstick in Hibiscus
titina206 5/26/2011 7:53:00 AM
I’ve been having this lipstick for 2 days, and I’m already loving it! As the other reviews say, it’s an orangy-red color, but you cannot consider it orange nor red. The texture is soft and creamy and does not dry my lips. I’m not a big fan of reddish lipsticks because they don’t tend to look natural on me since my lips have a purplelly undertone that somehow just doesn’t work with red, and here comes the good thing, I don’t have this problem with this lipstick!!! (is the orange canceling the purple?? who knows). I like that I can build the color up, apply it lightly for an everyday look, or build it up and make it more bold and dramatic for a night look. Looks gorgeous paired with my Shiseido Lip Gloss in Ruby Lustre. I really wish this was not a limited edition color and I really think MAC should make it part of their permanent line. Even though it will take me quite a long time to finish mine, I think it’s going to be a sad day when I finish it. Would buy again if it was permanent. Maybe I'll try to get me a backup (or two) for the future.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Cream # 3 Silver
titina206 5/20/2011 8:37:00 AM
This is a true silver color cream shadow. Is very pigmented and with a very small amount you can really cover the whole lid area and still have enough for the other eyelid. This silver aqua cream is very shimmery, according to MUFE that's because they use mother of pearl particles. It's long lasting and water resistant. Dries super fast, so if you want to add any eyeshadow on top, you have to work quickly. In my case, that makes it difficult for me to blend eye shadows with this creamy one. I like the texture of it, and I have had no problem applying it with my fingers or with a brush. For me, this silver is too much strong to wear it alone (like I do with my bare study paint pot), but looks great paired with my Benefit creasless cream in "Skinny Jeans" and black eye liner. You get 6 gr. of product for 22$ (according to Sephora.com). I bought mine in Spain and I think it was about 21€. The only downside for me is that it creases in about 4 hours (I have oily lids and some days I don't use any base). Having that in mind, I'm ready for touch ups when I use this. Would I repurchase again? Yes, in the future when I run out of it, though I think it will take me a long time to get to that point.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
titina206 5/20/2011 8:19:00 AM
I love this product. Worn alone, with other shadows or as a base. When I wear it alone, I like to use an eyeliner pencil to give my eyes a more finished look, some mascara and I'm ready to go. I like to pair this with greens or browns to create soft daytime looks, and I use it as a base with those same colors, golds and black to make gorgeous night looks. I prefer this to the benefit creasless cream eyeshadows because I find that this one blends easyer and last longer (on me). Sometimes I use a primer under it, specially when I want this to last all day long. The only downside is that if you applyt too much on the crease, it will crease, so my solution to that, is apply the Bare Study on the lid and avoid the crease, and if I feel like it, apply some on the browbone. As for the packaging, I like it. I do make sure that everytime I use it, I close it tight, and also store it upside down, just to prevent it to get dry. At first I thought it was expensive for the amount you got, but now I changed my mind (a little) because this is really lasting me for a long time. In the future I will buy me some other colors (hopefully I will like them as much as I like my Bare Study).

Lip Liners -Maybelline - Super Stay Lip Liner - 41 - Rosewood
titina206 5/17/2011 7:34:00 AM
I love the color of this lip liner. It's pink with a hint of purple. Has a good staying power. Looks great under lipstick or under gloss. It's not the softest lip liner ever, but I guess that's why it stays long, because it does not melt with your own body heat. I like that it's one of those automatic pencils. You don't have to shapren it. Overall it's a good lip liner and I will repurchase it again and also I will get me other colors.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Choco cream - 715
titina206 5/17/2011 6:37:00 AM
This is the first nude lipstick I feel comfortable with. The texture feels very nice on the lips. It's creamy and it has a slight sweet smell. As you apply it you can feel that it really moisturises your lips. I have no problems with the staying power, but unlike other reviews of this same range of lipsticks, I have to reaply mine to make it last. What I like to do with this lippy is to apply first a pinky lip pencil (I use superstay lip liner in rosewood by Maybelline) and then this nude lipstick on. This way I get the nude lips I always wanted, but in a way that looks natural. This mix with this two products pair good with the natural pigmentation of my lips. I will repurchase again in the future!!

Polishes -Rimmel - 60 Seconds 430 Coralicious
titina206 5/16/2011 9:45:00 AM
For me this is the best coral colour for my nails! I bought it last summer and I don't know why I didn't write a review sooner! This nail polish is not too pink or too orangy or too red. It's the perfect combination of these three colors. Looks great on tan skin, and looks great on pale skin because whatever your skincolor is, this polish pops!! I've never been a big fan of very bright nail polishes, but as soon as I got my hands on this one, I got crazy to use it! It's perfect for spring and summer. The packaging is good, just as any other Rimmel nail polishes. The brush works nice though I think it's nothing special. They say it dries in 60 seconds, and it's true, only if you apply a light coat. I like to apply 2 coats to make it more intense and opaque, and it's really longlasting. If you apply base+coralicious(2 coats) + topcoat this will last you for a week or 10 days, depending on what you do and if you wear gloves to clean and all this... and also depending on how fast your nails grow. Would I buy this nail polish again? YES!! but I will add that since it's long lasting, it will take some time for me to finish the bottle. (Maybe I should buy a backup just in case...)

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Perfect Topping [DISCONTINUED]
titina206 5/16/2011 9:33:00 AM
I like this highlighter. Looks good on anyskin because it has purple, brown, champain, salmon, orangy pearly colours and it's very flattering. This does not cause any break outs on my skin, does not look caky and you get 10g of product (great amount). The only two complains about it are: 1) like any other MSF, it has no mirror. I would love those with a mirror. 2) It's a little bit too much highlighting for me. I don't have this problem with other highlithers. I just take a little bit of product, tap off to avoid any excess and apply it... and I end up looking too shinny. If it was not a discontinued product I would not buy it again because I would try to find something that would work best for me as a highlight.

Mascara -Bourjois - Volume Fast & Perfect
titina206 4/2/2011 11:16:00 AM
This is a new mascara from Bourjois. It has a rotative-brush. I guess this is similar to the Dior 360, but I have not tried that one, so I will not compare them. Results: This mascara really separets my lashes, and it does separete them from the roots, something that I've always find difficult to do. The staying power is quite good!! It resists 10 hours at my job + 1 hour at the gym and it doesn't smudge or flake (this is a regular mascara and it's not waterproof, so if you sweat a lot, I guess it wil melt). The color is carbon black. This is the only color that I've seen so far. Maybe they will do brown or blue mascara with this gadget in the future (¿?¿?) BRUSH: The brush spins in two different ways, so you don't have to make any effort when you apply it. And I find that helps me a lot with my lower lashes!! When the mascara dries out I will keep the brush for sure!! INGREDIENTS: The mascara formula is supposed to contain natural waxes and a mixture of jojoba oil and vitamin E. All these ingredients are said to be good for the lashes. There is something in the ingredients that makes the mascara dry out quite fast, though. PACKAGING: This mascara comes with a battery. The black and red tube is not something very special for me. PRICE: 18 to 20€. I've seen different prices depending on where you buy it. Will I buy again?? I don't know. This is not my favourite mascara. I preffer something cheaper with similar results. But the brush is a +.

Fragrances -Lolita Lempicka - Fleur De Corail
titina206 4/2/2011 9:11:00 AM
I love this scent. At first I was a little bit scheptical because all the other Lolita Lempika fragances tend to smell bad on me/my skin chemistry or whatever you want to name it, but this one was sooo nice!!! What cought my "nose" first was something that really reminded me of monoi oil scent, and I thought "Summer is here!!". Just like other reviewers said, it's a beachy scent. It's somehow fresh, but it contains some vanilla in it (and for me vanilla scented fragances doesn't tend to be fresh). For me this is a very interesting fragance, and it's hard to explain how it feels. Overall rating: I give it a 4. It's very good, but I don't think it deserves 5 lippies. Price: 3. It's an avarage price for the amount of fragance you get. Packaging Quality: 5. I like the bottle. I love it!! It's original, and it's a nice decoration!! Will I buy it again?? YES.
