Moisturizers -Liz Earle - Liz Earle - Skin Repair Light

Wow. This wasn't good. I wouldn't consider this a 'light' mosituriser at all, it feels quite heavy on the skin and takes a while to absorb. AS for balancing I experienced the complete opposite, my face felt uncomfortably greasy the morning after, especially around my T Zone, and I ended up breaking out pretty quickly.

Skincare - Face -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Unfortunately I didn't have much luck with this cleanser. Using this in conjunction with the muslin cloths wasn't particularly a good idea for my acne prone skin, it was counteractive, and irritated my spots even more. Once I took the cloth aspect out of it I noticed I started developing more congestion around my cheeks, my skin looked tried and dull. I love how moisturizing this cleanser is, it cleanses gently without stripping or drying out the skin, unfortunately it seems too moisturizing for my skin to use alone.

Toners -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Instant Boost skin tonic
rated 4 of 5

I haven't had much luck with Liz Earle products, and this is one of the few I love. The first thing that drew me into this product was the scent, so light and refreshing, it doesn't smell artificial at all. Second was the toner itself, it removed any trace of makeup left on my face after cleansing, and was surprisingly moisturising. In other words, it didn't strip the skin and make it feel tight, instead my face felt smooth, soft and refreshed. As for the brightening aspect, I didn't really notice, but that doesn't really matter to me. Amazing toner! Would definitely repurchase if it shipping from Liz Earle.com wasn't so expensive. Forever Australian, I guess.

BB Cream -L'Oreal - Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
rated 1 of 5

Very thin texture, no coverage, and made my pale skin look orange. I know these western BB creams are only tinted moisturisers but this wasn't even moisturising either. Plus, for the price, it's simply a waste of money as well as a step back for me skin protecting wise. Skin79s BB creams are half the price of this and offer more suncare and skincare benefits, so I don't really understand why people are putting up with this scam.

Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent - Teint Touche Eclat Foundation

A really lovely, light foundation that makes your skin glow. I wouldn't really recommend this foundation on bad skin days because it wont cover any spots or acne but it does fill in pores to give a smooth and flawless finish. It's very moisturising, and it's not that expensive either when you compare it to other high end foundations. I only paid $47 AUD for it :)

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua

Even though I have very oily skin during summer I found this foundation very drying. With a good base (a rich moisturiser and primer) it does even out skintone and has a very luminous finish otherwise it just looks patchy and accentuates any dryness around my face, especially the most oily part, my cheeks. For a very expensive 30ml bottle of foundation I'm not impressed. Chanel really need to go easy on that alcohol.

Masks -SKII - Facial Treatment Mask
rated 1 of 5
tinka10 2/14/2013 8:36:00 PM

Ugh. Yuck. I don't know what else so say. There is something in these SK-II product that just does not agree with my skin. A lot of reviews here state how much it brightened and cleared up their skin while I got the complete opposite. The morning after I could not believe how dull and tired my face looked; my pores looked enlarged, my blackheads looks bigger and darker, and for the first time in years had a couple of spots on my forehead. It was definitely moisturising, but I think it might have been too moisturising for my oily/combo skin. Sigh, I don't know. I'm just glad my sheet masks were freebies.

Toners -Jurlique - Rosewater Balancing Mist
rated 3 of 5
tinka10 2/14/2013 8:19:00 PM

I don't particularly like these kind of 'spray on toners' but this one is quite nice. Its great for refreshing the skin after cleansing and also throughout the day over your make-up. The only thing I dislike is the scent, it smells like your spraying Rose perfume onto your skin. Its overpowering, and I couldn't get used to it even after a month of use.

Treatments -SKII - Facial Treatment Essence

After the third day of using this product made my combo/acne prone skin dull and congested. I started breaking out in little pimples all around my face which I wasn't use to before incorporating this product into my routine. I tried to keep going with it for another week but my skin just looked and felt horrible. As soon as I took it out of my routine my skin went back to being normal. Incredibly expensive product as well :(

BB Cream -L'Oreal - Nude Magique BB Cream
rated 1 of 5
tinka10 12/19/2012 10:20:00 PM

So what exactly does this so called BB cream claim to offer? - Sun protection - 24 hour hydration - Flaw free complexion - A nude look What it actually offers: - A measly SPF 12 (which might be okay if you lived in a closet) - No hydration - A nude look (offers little to no coverage, so I guess they got something right) - A really bad fake tan This is one of the first western BB creams I have ever tried and I have to say it's probably the last I will try too. After using asian BB creams for quite a few years now (banila co, brtc, skin79 etc) this was a huge step back for me skincare wise. It does nothing a real BB cream should do, and it's extremely over priced for what it's worth. The Korean BB creams I use are cheaper and offer more skincare and make-up benefits than this. Huge disappointment, and a huge waste of money.

Treatments -Origins - Super Spot Remover
rated 5 of 5
tinka10 10/19/2012 8:09:00 PM

I had a very large, incredibly sore cystic pimple at the top of my cheekbone that has been causing me some pain over the last few days. Last night I applied a smidgen of this baby on it and when I woke up in the morning, my pimple had reduced from an active volcano to a significantly smaller red dot; and it's not painful anymore! It's quite expensive for a tiny bottle ($19 for 10ml) but you don't need to use much at all. Plus you wouldn't want to use much at all anyway, it can be incredibly drying. Would totally repurchase this again in the future.

Shampoo -Kerastase - Specifique Bain Divalent
rated 2 of 5
tinka10 10/2/2012 7:24:00 AM

Can't say I liked anything about this product. It's very expensive, the packaging looks nice but not exactly the most practical for when it comes to distributing the product easily and it made my hair incredibly oily. It also made my scalp itchy, and I started to develop dandruff by the end of the week. :(

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherie
rated 3 of 5
tinka10 9/29/2012 8:11:00 PM

Used to be one of my favourite perfumes when I was younger, and it still holds a place in my heart but there are a few things that I don't like about it anymore. I enjoy the scent, but it isn't very long lasting, and I've found that after a few hours it tends to somewhat 'stale' and it smells like I'm wearing baby powder. It's also quite expensive for the amount of product that you get, especially when the scent doesn't last very long. Probably will repurchase because they're only a handful of perfumes that I actually like (I'm picky) but not for a very long time.

This is one of my favourite perfumes. I receive a lot of nice comments about it from guys and almost all of my friends have asked me about it at one point or another. I seem to be ignoring my other perfumes because I'm on my third bottle of this stuff.

Skincare - Face -Natio - Eye Contour Treatment Gel
rated 1 of 5
tinka10 8/11/2012 2:39:00 AM

The light gel formula would be great for those with oily skin however it is incredibly drying for someone (like me) with combination skin. It feels refreshing and smells nice but stings when applying. I also don't think it did anything for my dark circles, in fact I think it accentuated them even more...hmm.
